Detailed Reviews
Super clean and comfortable facility; it's around 15km from the nearest town, we were there for a bike event, so this worked well for us in terms of location & availability. Breakfast is included, which is a big plus for Iceland as it's normally extra, the breakfast was plentiful, and the lady looking after us was excellent. The bathroom is shared with a few other rooms, but this wasn't a big deal for us as we weren't ever waiting for someone to vacate but for a few minutes. It's self-service check-in but any of the people who work there that we came across were friendly and interested in chatting . You also get to see the most beautiful horses. Excellent stay!

We rented a 3 room cottage. It was a perfect little cottage for 3 of us (friends) with single rooms for each of us, a little kitchenette to cook our meals. They also have the main guesthouse with coffee / tea / biscuits, television - if you want to chill in the lounge. Our host Stella was very helpful and gave us a number of recommendations for things to do and places to eat close by, also provided us with contact numbers for a local taxi. It is in the middle of nowhere - so be prepared to drive and keep driving till you find the place! Internet was a bit sketchy, but our host helped sort it out for us.

+1
The 3 room guesthouse was very nice. It was clean and had a full kitchen. The beds were comfortable and there were blackout shades. The restroom had a washer, a wall/towel dryer, and a good blow dryer. To reach the house you have to drive down an unpaved road, which is fine if you go slow in a small car. There are horses near the house and a stables. It was a peaceful, quiet, safe house. I would recommend it if you’re stopping after the Golden Circle and Vik.

The Ármót guesthouse was fantastic. Self check in was a breeze. The room was clean and inviting. The more were washrooms on every floor and ours was huge and had a lovely shower.
Small extras like chocolate in the room and a welcome note were appreciated.
There was a sitting area with complimentary tea and coffee the room had tables, leather chairs and great views on three sides from large windows. You got the sense that you were being g welcomed into the family and encouraged to relax.
In the morning, the complimentary breakfast was lovely. Fresh brewed coffee, yogurt, toast vegetables cheese and meat were on offer. Toast and waffles were available and the room was well appointed and bright.
Checkout was as easy as walking out the front door.
Would be back in a heartbeat and highly recommend.

Armot is a secluded, very large horse farm with only 6 guest rooms. Five share 2 bathrooms, but we had the junior suite with our own very large bathroom and a balcony. We loved the fact that we could go to the stables and visit and pet the horses anytime. They had a very large room on the second floor for people to gather. It was beautifully done, and you could relax and view the horses in all directions. My only complaint was the breakfast. There was not enough food for all of the guests and the selection was very limited. This is not the place you want to stay in if you want to be in the middle of a tourist area. It is about 5 miles off the main route and perfect for relaxing. The guest house in on the left in the pictures.

Room Tip: The best room is definitely the junior suite. It is private and large.

Superb accommodation, amazing common room, very good communication with the hotel. Breakfast is served only between 8-9:30am, otherwise I would definitively give 5 stars. Location is a bit remote, but quite and with beautiful surroundings.

Stayed for one night (would have loved longer!). It was perfect- spacious room and great bathroom with a power shower. I chose the room with the private bathroom but the place was spotless so I am sure sharing would be no issue. Great breakfast. Horses in the stables are just incredible!
Amazing self check in - personally the road to the bnb was fine to drive (and i was driving for the first time abroad) but we did have an automatic 4 wheel drive. Amazing birds and wildlife everywhere- don't hesitate and book!

We stayed here for one night on the way to Vik. The check-in instruction was clear as we arrived after hours. Just be aware that there is nothing around the property, so one should get dinner before arriving here. The closest area for food is in Hvolsvollur (about a 12-min drive away).
The property is beautiful, and you can see horses hanging out on the property as the owner has a ranch. Just be mindful when booking the rooms, as they offer rooms with ensuite bathrooms and rooms only.
Breakfast was the highlight of our stay - plenty of food and very nutritious.

Great guesthouse, very clean ang modern facilities. Breakfast was excellent and Alba the housekeeper from Barcelona was so nice and friendly. Location close to Hella perfect for us attending Landsmot 22. Host Hafliði supernice and busy taking guest fishing, hunting and on exciting four wheel bike tours in the area.

It was clean and very nice. The area was beautiful and we had a great time. The owner gave great directions to get out there and we had no trouble finding it. I would definitely recommend staying here. If I ever come back to Iceland, I plan to stay there again.
