Absolutely amazing experience! The owner and staff ensured we were taken care of and were so friendly! The rooms are immaculate and loved the common areas as well! Very very clean and inviting! The breakfast was an absolute treat! Homemade warm bread and a very nice selection along with music! One of my fav’s this trip!

The room was clean, well furnished, had a comfortable bed and bedding, was well lit, and room temperature was managed easily.
We were accommodated via an owner who allowed us early check in; we were able to take tea and coffee to our room; and, the owner reminded us that if we needed anything, call her (her number was available).... she was “just down the road.” She and her husband exceeded our expectations with an apparently great hospitality mission and vision.
The breakfast was fabulous with yogurt, cereals, home-made jeans and jelly’s, bread, juices and more. All good, all fresh.
This is a perfect place to call home for a week or so while visiting Iceland. Make it your home base while traveling through this wonderful country visiting with wonderful people.
We have been to Iceland three times and this was the best hotel accommodation we’ve experienced. We feel fortunate to have found this gem.

We really loved this place. Comfortable and cozy, this is a small hotel where we really felt good. The owner is very nice, she baked gluten free bread especially for me for breakfast the next day (the breakfast was homemade and so good!) We only stayed one night, but we would definitely have liked to stay longer. We didn't arrive in time for dinner (homemade fish), but if we go back to Iceland we will definitely go there to try it.

We chose Vos based on the high reviews here and also proximity to everything we wanted to do on the way to Vik (about an hour drive and a half from the hotel) and yet have a shorter drive heading back north on the final day of our stay as opposed to be driving back from Vik - and from that perspective it couldn't work out any better, given I was surprised how far from the main road the hotel itself is - not that it's a problem but just quite a drive to make it back and forth if you stay for longer than 1 night, like we did.
The hotel is cozy, clean, on a smaller end - for some reason I expected a much bigger property - the rooms therefore were on a smaller end, probably the smallest rooms we had during our 10 days - it wasn't an issue of course as there was still plenty room for 2 big bags to open up.
Breakfast was tasty, fresh and complimentary hot tea/chocolate/coffee 24/7 was also a very welcome thing - especially at night when we stayed outside longer in the cold waiting for the northern lights :) honor bar was also a nice touch if beer (prices very comparable to everywhere else) or wine or soda/pop was something you wanted to grab (no walking distance store, nor one for quite a long drive either so pick up things before you settle in or use the honor bar)
We were excited for the dinner but ultimately skipped as it's a very limited menu (understandably) - in a retrospective that wasn't the best idea as there are no really great dinner spots in this area of Iceland until you really get closer to Vik - and that is way too long of a drive just for a meal

I loved this little hotel and only wish I’d had more time to stay and talk with the host and learn more about the farm. Room was cozy and well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. The hot tub is a great amenity! Loved the honor bar with drinks of various kinds. The breakfast was awesome - the host put on a full spread even though I was the only one staying that night. Fresh bread, selection of jams, various veggies and lunch meats and option for make your own waffles or pancakes (can’t remember which). The atmosphere is very personal and warm. Definitely recommend to stay here if you are in the area!

We originally booked a stay through Airbnb at “Hotel Vos” but soon received an email stating that the business had been sold and we were offered to be rebooked at “Homestay Vos.” After looking it up, we agreed to the rebooking, as the hotel seemed nice.
Upon arrival at “Hotel Vos,” however, there was no one present. Despite trying to contact them the day before to ask about kitchen facilities at the Homestay, we received no response. It turned out that “Homestay Vos” is actually a staff accommodation for the hotel, with empty rooms being rented out via Airbnb. While the room itself was fine, the kitchen, bathroom, and common areas were not clean and didn’t meet the standards one would expect from a guesthouse. It was clear that hotel staff lived there, and there was no interaction or welcome from anyone.
We decided to cancel our stay and contacted Airbnb for a refund, which we received. The host even offered a cancellation right away. Strangely enough, employees confirmed that this happens regularly, with the host claiming the business is sold and offering rebookings to this “Homestay,” which is simply a staff house. While renting out empty rooms isn’t inherently wrong, the host should be transparent. The whole setup seems like a scam, and I hope Airbnb takes action to prevent others from going through the same experience.
Attached are some pictures showing the actual state of the “Homestay.”

We stayed here a few nights when touring this area and the Westman Islands. Reviews were great, but we were a little disappointed. The room and bathroom were very small, with furnishings expected at a budget hotel. The room was exceptionally clean, however. There were a lot of marks/damage to the walls from previous guests. The fire alarms must all be connected as one of the guests set off the fire alarm in his room one night and it took a few minutes for someone to turn it off. (We're guessing that he was trying to smoke in his room.) The breakfast buffet was modest but adequate. We ate dinner one night in the restaurant and it was very good. It is located a bit of a drive from the main road.

Super friendly staff and a very nice, clean bedroom and bathroom. Loved the hot tub and we ate a couple of times at the restaurant. Breakfast was a good mix, especially enjoyed waffle making. The small tiny change would be I like my potatoes (especially), carrots and brocoli cooked a little longer, they were a bit aldentee. Superb chicken salad.

Very cozy hotel! We were late to check in and it was raining and they made us feel right at home. It was too late for dinner (so we ate car snax). We used the hot tub in the rain - felt amazing. Breakfast was lovely. Staff was great. It was nice to stay in a true small hotel as opposed to a corporate operation.
