While in New Orleans, I visited the Park View. This charming hotel was in wonderful location adjacent to Audubon Park and Tulane University. It was nice to be along the St.Charles Streetcar line that leads into downtown New Orleans, and the French Quarter. The rooms...More

Beautiful, stylized boutique B&B. Amazingly comfortable bed. The most delicious jambalaya at breakfast (among other, more traditional breakfast items of course).
Free wine in the afternoons/evenings. Nestled in a quiet, beautiful, safe neighborhood, across the street from Tulane University and next to Audubon Park. Not...More

To say that the folks at Park View treat you like family, might actually be an insult.
Sadly, many families treat each other will less compassion, kindness and supportiveness than the incredible "staff" treat their guests at the Park View Historic Hotel.

The Park View Historic Hotel and Guest House is one of the oldest inns in our city, dating to 1884. We have 22 beautiful guest rooms decorated in a traditional New Orleans style. Many have antique tester beds (with …Morenew mattresses of course) and period furnishings. Every room has its own modern and well appointed bath. All rooms have flat screen TVs and daily maid service. A delicious complimentary breakfast is served daily in the Audubon Dining Room overlooking the famous Audubon Park on Saint Charles Avenue. Owned and operated by tenth generation locals, the Park View is the place to stay if you want a true New Orleans experience! Less

Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s
outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
