The Park View Historic Hotel and Guest House is one of the oldest inns in our city, dating to 1884. We have 22 beautiful guest rooms decorated in a traditional New Orleans style. Many have antique tester beds (with new mattresses of course) and period furnishings. Every room has its own modern and well appointed bath. All rooms have flat screen TVs and daily maid service. A delicious complimentary breakfast is served daily in the Audubon Dining Room overlooking the famous Audubon Park on Saint Charles Avenue. Owned and operated by tenth generation locals, the Park View is the place to stay if you want a true New Orleans experience!

Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.

I don’t think there is enough room on this site for me to say everything I want to say about this stunningly beautiful bed and breakfast. My husband and I stayed here as a “getaway” for our seventh wedding anniversary. We stayed in Room 7: a lovely room with a balcony and

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your wonderful review of our historic hotel!!!! We are so grateful you chose to spend your seventh wedding anniversary with us at Park View. I am particularly thrilled that you enjoyed some quiet time on the balcony. So often visitors to our city fill every minute of their day with activities and thus miss out on the simple pleasure of watching the world go by from our front porch or hotel room balcony.. I am so glad you took some time to savor the moment. We look forward to welcoming you back on a future visit!

I have stayed here with my family twice so far. Right across the street from the main entrance to Tulane, so if you are visiting a student like me it is perfect for that. Also situated right on the street car line and next to Audobon Park, so it is easy to get places by street

I’ve stayed twice at this beautiful hotel and I cannot recommend it enough. The antiques throughout the Park View give it a particularly unique touch that can’t be found just anywhere. Breakfast has been delicious every time and often comes with a touch of that creole flavor
