It feels like you are in a completely different place, after you travel trough the busy city, this place is so peaceful. Nice view on the lake with the houseboats. The hotel adds to this feeling, it is completely build constructed in wood. Very friendly staff, anything you ask they will assist you. And my wife was asked by the owner to teach him a Jamaican song. I love this place.

The Best Resorts and thanks too Jeswin and other too. We been there for 3 days and we took 3 rooms for our entire family and full stay we felt we are in the home. Hotel was very beautiful and the room are made by wooden and next to Lake and we sit outside watch the beauty and the boats pass by all day. If we want make memories it is right place to stay. Room rate was good and tea and coffee they are offered really good and homemade. Myself and my wife took massage for 1 hours and we felt very Relax. Only we did not get late checkout however they arranged something else which appreciable. Cheers.

Firstly I would like to say that Jeswin is a fabulous host, in fact all the team are great. Everyone was very helpful, helping us order food, arranging the Scooter and Ayurvedic massages. The room was fine… however the constant steam of houseboats passing with not only noise but incredible pollution makes it very uncomfortable. To be fair if you just staid one or two nights you will have a lovely time. If you want to experience the backwaters it’s great. You are quite a way from town so having transport is a good idea. The massages are good and a very good price. Internet is excellent and lots of hot water.

Very bad....me and my wife booked the room .because of the photos in social media in reality it was very bad even this hot climate they don't have any air conditioner. We don't like the room I ask him to checkout he told to give me 1000rs for stay in room for 10 min.....bad hospitality...

This place is something more than gorgeous. It is directly overlooking the backwaters so one can get the perfect feel of being in Alleppey. You can sit there and watch the beauty and the boats pass by all day. Jeswin and team were very hospitable and welcoming too. The only problem is that it is a bit on the inside and there are only few lights at night time. Please note that this place is for adventure lovers and not for people who do not like to be near nature as there are insects. This should be avoided by old people because it has a lot of walking and dark entry at night time. Otherwise it is just beautiful and has left a memory of a lifetime with us. Just book here, do not think twice. Go for it. Unfortunately only 5 star rating is available, I would have given 10 rating. It was just amazing. …

To the best place to stay in Alleppey and I call it my home in Alleppey the " Malyalam lake resort". Run by the very cheerful and happy living family I have ever seen. Jeswin the owner was just like an elder brother (Chetta) who guided us in everything we did during course of our stay, I say Jeswin Chetta was our once stop solution in Alleppey. He arranged us everything A-Z. The food he served us was heavenly 😍. Jeswin's family always brought smile on our face. Special thanks to his mother for making us the best chutney of our lifetime. His little nephew (aniyan) was a gem💙. His father, brother and sister in law were extremely supportive. I love their family and the hard work they are doing. Their work inspired me a lot. Lots of love to them, May God bless their family and their business to reach heights. Can't wait to see them all over again and go back to my home in Alleppey.…

We are so very grateful to the team at Malayalam Lake Resort. We arrived Saturday as the Coronavirus kicked off big time in UK and India.We were very worried and on arrival made the decision cut our holiday short and fly home immediately . Team were so understanding and helpful offering us their computer and arranging booking of flight ✈️ tickets. We were sad to leave this wonderful place which is set back of the river so peaceful and chilled. Our room was perfect and spotless overlooking the water. We will definitely return to this incredible homestay. Thank you once again to the team.

Everything you could want right on the Alleppey backwaters. Malayalam is magnificently run and has an unparalleled warmth to it. Rooms are extremely clean and location is excellent. We had the most peaceful 3 nights stay - thank you for absolutely everything, you are wonderful!

Such a friendly and authentic place. Beautiful wooden house. Welcoming staff and great service. Gorgeous food too. Very close to/from Allepey HB jetty. And most of all, so peaceful with an amazing view on the backwaters. No words to describe sunset/rise there. We fully recommend.
