We came from Northern Indiana and wasn’t sure what to expect. The rooms were very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Very quiet and peaceful. We will stay again in the future. Thanks, very pleased!
This is a great place to stay when you are in the Gatlinburg area. The hotel was quiet and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside in the fall evening enjoying the outdoor fire pits while sitting in a rocking chair. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, and made us feel like we were welcomed. Another plus is that there is a Trolley stop on site, making it easy to get downtown without having to take your car. Hot coffee at all hours, and fresh baked cookies in the lobby were another plus.
We have nothing but good things to say about The Appy Lodge! The staff was kind, quick and helpful in every way. A wonderful breakfast bar is included. The rooms are spacious and have very comfortable beds. And even though the Lodge is not on the "strip" there is a convenient trolley stop on site so for $2 per day one can travel all over Gatlinburg! A fun bonus is the AT theme. Will definitely return to The Appy Lodge!
We have visited Gatlinburg almost annually for the last 18 years. This was one of our favorite places (other than a cabin) to stay. The location is great! We loved that we didn't have to battle Pigeon Forge traffic to get into Gatlinburg. It isn't downtown in the middle of the noise and "hype" but certainly "walkable" or if that's too much then the trolley stops right in the parking lot every 20 minutes! The rooms were lovely and the rest of the hotel comfy and inviting. Loved the outdoor firepits! Derek, the manager, was great.
Very nice hotel for the price. Not sure if it’s a promotion or if that will be the permanent price. Would stay at again if this was the permanent price. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Only knock of the room is that the door doesn’t block much sound so hallway noise gets into the room easily. Can tell they still have some kinks to work out with the hotel. One of the times we tried to leave the front door the sliding door didn’t work and needed to be reset. We had a first floor room but we noticed an out of order sign on the elevator one morning. Most of the attractions in Gatlinburg are not walking distance but that is also good because traffic isn’t as bad in front of the hotel.
