Great place to stay!! Good location for Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I go to the cabins 2 times a year and stayed at several of poplar ridge cabins. The last one was Cabin #2 Springtime Retreat. Always a great experience. Cabins are always clean, beds smell clean. No bugs or spiders!! Yuck!! Great place for 2 people or family. Kids love the BIG jacuzzi tub in a room by itself. We always enjoy the fireplace in the fall of the year. Owners provide wood. One of the nice things is you can always get ahold of the owners if there is a problem. They are great!! We like sitting out on the back porches and relaxing after a busy day. I would recommend you staying at Poplar Ridge cabins.

We rented the Reagan's Retreat cabin (Poplar Ridge Log Cabin Rentals ) for 4 nights 2-23-2023 through 2-27-2023 for my boyfriends 60th birthday as a getaway. I had to clean the kitchen, dishes, bathroom and the washer, there was so much dust and dirt it made my allergies so severe I had to keep the outside doors open for fresh air and limit are time in the cabin. I called the office and asked for a credit for the cleaning service fee they were charging me, and I was told they couldn't do that because they have to pay the cleaning service no matter what and said they were sorry it wasn't up to my standards. The kitchen cabinets and draws had food from previous renters and dead bugs in them. The window seals also had dirt and dead bugs, there was so much dirt and dust on the curtains and baseboards like this place hasn't been clean for a year. The TV in the bedroom came on but couldn't change the channels, I'm uploading the pictures I took of all the dirt and bugs. This place needs to be sited by the board of health. I filed a complaint with the BBB and whoever is managing this property is now stating that there was cigarette smoking in the cabin, which is a lie, my boyfriend smokes but it was always outside as I explained to this several times in a email to Lester, we had to keep the doors open at all the times except when we were sleeping because of all the dirt, dust and the filth was really affecting my allergies. I couldn't stay in the cabin for long period of times. They are just making things up since they know they are in the wrong, please look at the photos.

Yes we were there during the arctic freeze over Christmas 2022 and totally understand how that affects things & we did EVERYTHING we were told to do to help the situation. But, we stayed in Majestic view, and had heat issues as well as a critter in the wall. We could not keep the cabin warm until the last night we were there. The gas fireplace stopped working on Christmas Day and when I called the people that take care of the property I was given an attitude about it. Now I understand I had called them multiple times up until that point due to the heat and I understand it was Christmas Day, but the attitude was not necessary! When the husband came over to help us with the heat we showed him ALL places cold air was coming into the cabin from and about the critter(to which they had us turn on this box thing that was supposed to repel the critter), which didn’t work! I said all that to say this, I called today to ask for at least a nights refund for the issues we had and I was treated with total disrespect and the man who answered the phone(also the same man who we showed everything to), told me that there would be no refund, the cabin was solid, and there was no critter and informed me that “not even Jesus Christ could please us”. He was extremely rude and hung up on me. I only had their number to call and only called when we started having issues with the heat, the critter & when the gas fireplace stopped working. I will NEVER stay with Poplar Ridge again and I will make sure everyone I know, knows about our experience. I don’t know anything about any of the other cabins through them but this was our experience with majestic view. That cabin and the (I’m assuming property managers) have ruined us from ever using them again.

We stayed at Reagans retreat in February of 2022. It was a pleasant surprise. When we first arrived we had to drive up a steep driveway to reach cabin but can be done with any vehicle. Winter time could be a challenge though to to the steep grade. We were driving a 2021 Dodge ram truck so it was easy. At the top of the driveway is you arrive on a slight mountain top overlooking Gatlinburg Tn. It is a great view of downtown but far enough for privacy. The cabin itself is dated somewhat but adds to the charm. The bottom unused part of the cabin is unfinished but did not affect our stay at all. So if you are looking for the latest modern features this is not it. But that is what we liked about it. Clean and a nice layout. The furniture is older but in good condition as is the kitchen that functioned well. There is a hot tub on the front porch which we did not utilize for reasons I will explain. The cabin is located right off of the main drag and easy to get to. Easy access to grocery stores, restaurants gas stations donut shops etc. and close to the Green briar forest area and streams. This is one of the best trips we have had to the smokies in years and the cabin was just right for us. Some mishaps though[not the fault of poplar ridge cabins] WE had a taste of all the seasons in 3 days...Winter , summer and spring... our 2nd night 80 mph winds that ripped down part of the underlayment on porch roof over the hot tub which made it not safe to use, I reported this to poplar ridge and they promptly offered to come out but we did not seem to need the help at that time .Our 3rd day consisted of SNOW! and a beautiful drive through scenic iced winter smoky Mountain park. It was great. a few issues were limited TV channels on whatever we were hooked up to and the Tv in bedroom did not pick up anything after several attempts. But that did not bother us really at all. The internet was good which is what most people want anyway as most folks stick to their phones for entertainment these days. So to sum up Reagans retreat is great for its simplicity and location if you like being near downtown .Even for us as we prefer the mountains and scenery and not the downtown commercialism.

We stayed in Winter Haven. Beautiful log cabin. They had everything you needed. They have a fireplace with wood but no newspaper, wood starter or a lighter to start it. Had to find sticks in the woods and use our pizza box, buy a lighter. Everything else was great!! Highly recommended!!! Very clean!

We stayed at this property for the fall break. We had a last minute plan so by the time we searched for available cabin properties nothing was available. Our choice was to stay at hotel properties. At the last minute, I called Poplar Ridge and was informed that they had a cancellation and booked it. I had booked for for nights and when I got the reservation details, it was booked for 5 nights. I called the property and was told that they have a 5 night minimum stay which was never discussed when I reserved the property and that the rate per night will be higher if I still choose to stay 4 nights. Because we did not have any more time to book for any cabin property I said, go ahead and charge me the extra rate. When we got there, the bedrooms smelled like mildew and urine, it was disgusting, disinfectant spray did not even help. The following day, we choose to make breakfast in the cabin we leave for our activities and my stomach turned to see the insides of the microwave. It was disgusting, it was not clean and looked like dried food and rust combined what present in the microwave door. The grill was also very nasty, was not cleaned up prior to our arrival and you can see what was left out when you used a grill. I called the property office and spoke to a gentleman and informed him of all these issues we have at the property but what I got was just an excuse, saying, whatever is in the microwave is just a stain. if you can't remove that nasty stain in the microwave as you claim its a stain why not just buy a new one which does not cost a ton of money. The property itself seemed like it was not built properly. You can see the light pass through from the other room and there is no noise barrier. We have rented cabins in Gatlinburg before but this was the first time we have stayed at a dump. Not worth the money.

My family loves staying at this Cabin, it is very quiet, clean.... Nice people to do business with! It is off the main road but that makes it quiet! We have never seen a bear but there are a lot of turkey's grazing in the early morning!! We will always stay there "Aunt Boo's". Love it

BED BUGS!! Do not suggest anyone to stay in these cabins and expect much the owners and not very nice when you point out a horrible situation like they had. They had no other cabins available and wouldn't compensate for what I had to spend on a hotel room at 2am so we didnt sleep in a infested house

You feel like you've known the owners the moment you meet them, such great people! We were in Summer Song, cabin #2. The cabin is quaint with two bedrooms, one bath (that included a washer/dryer), a 2nd bathroom with just a jetted tub, a livingroom, kitchen and back deck with a hot tub. One suggestion I have to improve the stay would be to get a new mattress or have a mattress topper available as I thought the bed was pretty hard. I slept on the couch more than the bed. Other reviewers have talked about the outdated furniture, and I'll agree, it is an old couch and recliner, but they were in good shape and comfortable. It is in a very convenient location. There is an adolescent bear hanging around, so be on the watch for him. We got up close and personal one day without knowing he was right there!

We stayed at Poplar Ridge several years ago so we thought we would return for 4 days. It’s the cutest rustic style cabin and the location is so close to downtown Gatlinburg. The owner is the sweetest person ever. Plenty of white fluffy towels in the bathroom with lots of hot water in the shower. Clean kitchen with nice appliances and plenty of cookware. We love this cabin so much, but it pains me to write the rest of this review. First of all, all of the living room furniture in the Springtime Retreat cabin needs replacing. The green recliner was literally thread bare and had a bad odor. The glider rocker needs cleaning. The couch is just plain worn out. All of the lamp shades need replacing as they are either torn or stained. The cabin is very dark from being up in the trees, so replacing some of the lamps with bright lamps would help. All of the valances need replacing as they are faded and outdated. The quilts need cleaning and pillows need to be replaced. The carpet in the bedrooms and hot tub room need replacing as there is a distinct mildew odor. Lastly, please remove that macrame’ porch swing. It is has mildew and pollen on it and smells badly. The porch would be so cute with some chairs and maybe a small table. We did not use the outside hot tub so I can’t comment on that. The darling little cabin has so much potential. Just some updating of furniture and flooring will go a long way.
