What a wonderful experience it was to stay for a week at TownePlace Suites Portland Vancouver. From the moment I arrived, the lovely lady at front desk was so happy to welcome me and let me know that my new husband had left keys for me. I told her that we had just gotten married and wow - the people at TownePlace went out of their way to make our stay so special. A bottle of wine was delivered with a card to our room as well as a gorgeous decoration outside (saying Mr & Mrs) complete with 'rose petals'. We loved it.
I have to personally thank Alison and Megan. Alison recommended a great place for me to get my nails done and Megan arranged our Uber to the airport. I have to thank Mark the complimentary shuttle driver who was so gracious and wonderful to take me anywhere I wanted to go. He has great stories.
I recommend this hotel suites more than any other - and I've stayed at The Bellagio and Shangri La - I loved everything about the Townesuite Place. Thank you to the wonderful team who work tirelessly to make their guests feel welcomed.
Oh and the coffee is the best in the world.

Solid TownePlace Suites in a popular (and newer) area of Vancouver, WA. Very convenient to a number of eateries and there are three French bakeries nearby! Within a couple of miles is a Chuck's grocery store where you can source all types of fresh produce and grocery. Room is just OK and the check-in staff is friendly. Be aware that they charge $ 10 for about an overnight parking even though it is nowhere near busy part of town...

This is a very nice hotel in a wonderful location. Surrounded by a park and office space, it's very quiet and private. A short drive to stores and restaurants. Room was clean and looked to be in good order. Everything was neat and looked fairly new. Our two bedroom suite had a rare for Towneplace, and very nice, second bathroom. Kitchen was well-stocked with utensils. Dog friendly too, which is a bonus. Be sure to consider this hotel when in the Portland/Vancouver area.

I was dissatisfied with my stay for a few reasons. The pool wasn’t heated or cleaned during our stay which was disappointing. Saying you have room service but it’s actually just restaurant delivery is misleading. Charging 20 dollars at check in for “incidentals” but then saying they charge 10 dollars a night for parking. WTF!!! The free breakfast wasn’t great but edible. The room was really clean so that was nice. The front desk people didn’t wear masks which was strange when they expect guests to wear them.

I have stayed at this TownPlace Suites many times because they have done a nice job at keeping the rooms clean and well maintained. But this stay, during the virus, was very disappointing as they staff was not following safety standards that the Marriott brand is promoting.

First, I requested that my room not be serviced during my stay. But on the third day of my stay I returned to find my room had been serviced. It seems that my request was not honored. Also, during my stay there was a letter than stated there were going to be fire alarm testing and that all rooms were going to be entered.

The above is a concern as for my entire visit, the front desk staff never wore masks when greeting or meeting guests. While the state of Washington was not in a mandatory period of wearing masks, one would think that the staff would take the precautions in doing so. I had visited a Townplace Suites in Redding, California the night before and their staff was always wearing masks. Again, if Marriott as a brand is stating they are doing everything they can for safety, then their properties need to follow through.

During this period of the virus, I would give serious thought about staying at this property again.

I’ve never been treated such disrespect in all the hotels I stayed in. I had multiple things that happened staying at this hotel. The manger jasmine has harassed me and I am 16 years old. Some of the things has happened is when I was babysitting a little boy the manger came up to me and said I can’t have any guest, and I said is there a law I can’t babysit a child then she called me a pet and told me to put a mussel on my mouth. Another thing that has happened I went to go get water in the workout room she stopped me and said I have to be 18 and I said I’m just getting water she didn’t let me then I look at the sign and it said you can be in the room 14 and older. More things has happened but that’s just a little. After everything she kicked us out the next day when my mom is a traveling and only gave us a few hours to move all of are stuff. We talked to the main manger he did nothing about it and after all of that she charged things on my moms card like 20 bottles of wine and double charged are stay.

We love coming back to stay here. It is in a great location and is always clean and so well-maintained with wonderful service. Staff are excellent--they are all so friendly and accommodating including the front desk, housekeeping, food service and even maintenance (who gave us chocolates after he fixed our sink drain!) We stayed here with our guests 8 years ago for our wedding at a local winery and returned this month to celebrate our anniversary which staff took the time to recognize. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay once again!

We have stayed here several times. On one visit
My wife left her favorite pillow. We thought it was gone forever. On our Current stay, she asked housekeeping to look for it. Jojo, hospitality member, successfully found it and returned my wife’s pillow. Jojo went above and beyond and exemplifies the word service. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel, very nice staff, great location. We are platinum members & were upgraded to a 1-bedroom suite. Very quiet on the 4th floor. Great location to shopping & restaurants. Looking forward to breakfast this morning. Taking a tour of Multnomah Falls today.

I found this property through the Marriott web site and stayed twice within a week. I kept checking rates for the time around Christmas and ended up with a Marriott's Reward rate of $87 for both of my stays.

This is a new property and the rooms are for longer stays because they have a small kitchen in them. My room was on the 4th floor with a king bed. The only thing I didn't like about the layout of the room was that the bathroom door is right at the head of he bed. There is a walk through closet that can be entered through either the bathroom or the kitchen. The refrig is a small full size so it was nice to have the freezer to have ice all the time. I was there during the holidays so wasn't making any meals. I found the shower excellent, with steady hot water all the time and a good strong shower head that was at the correct height. Once concern is that the tub doesn't have any no slip features on the floor so it was a bit slippery when first stepping in.

The free wifi was great and I watched Hulu on my iPad with no troubles. They don't require any passwords so it is nice to start up your computer or tables and be connected right away to the internet. Even after a couple of days there was no logging in. There is plenty of storage and the bed was comfortable.

The down side was that this place has a newer climate control on it that I could never get it to work. I like the room to be cool when I sleep and this system never ran continuously. Neither with a fan or the heater or cooler would they run and the room never reached the temperature I set. I asked about this and one person at the front desk said that it is set to shut off after a while with a motion detector in the room. This doesn't seem like a good idea for sleeping. I was able to open the window a bit as it had a blocker on it to cool down the room. But I don't think the currently control is very user friendly. All the lights had motion controls on them and there is lots of blinking lights around the room. It is like living on the Star Ship Enterprise!

The breakfast in the morning is good with hot food! One morning it was a sausage scramble with peppers and taters. The other was sausage patties. They serve both scramble eggs and fried eggs with fully cooked yokes. There is also pastries, waffles and cereal. The eating space is large and ran well by the friendly lady in the morning. One thing is they only had one salt and pepper shaker for the entire breakfast place which wasn't very convenient for everyone. Most places use the salt and pepper packets and this place should do the same.

Some have mentioned the place is dog friendly but I agree the dogs should be kept from the same area as those without dogs. They people next to me had a dog and it would bark when I opened and closed doors. I was on the 4th floor and one would think folks with dogs would want to be on the ground floor to get outdoors easier.

They staff was super friendly and on Christmas they placed candy canes on our doors. That is a super nice treat to do!

If they can fix the climate controls this is a really great place to stay and close to many things in East Vancouver. I would stay here again when I am in the area!
