Detailed Reviews
They are just completing a remodel. That said the only negative I experienced was the granite on the check in counter wasn’t installed yet and it was wood when I checked it. Doesn’t bother me! Room I had was freshly remodeled, you even had a faint smell of fresh paint! Room was clean, modern. Breakfast was typical SpringHill affair with the waffle machine. The kids loved it though! Pool was open and enjoyable. AC worked well but was a little loud. A plus was the second bed was a pull out trundle type hidden under the sofa. I didn’t personally sleep on it but I would imagine that would be more comfortable than the folding pull out types. Also it’s close to a nice park if you got kids in tow.

Thank you for sharing your experience with is! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the SpringHill Suites. It sounds like the remodel has made a positive impact, and I'm happy to hear that the room was clean and modern. I'll make a note about the check-in counter granite and the loud AC to pass on to the hotel staff. It's great to hear that the breakfast options were enjoyed by the kids, and that the pool was a nice amenity as well. The pull-out trundle bed is a clever use of space! Let me know if there's anything else I can assist you with.

Decent budget hotel stay for an overnight before a flight home from PDX. Found the room to be a bit small if you were there on extended stay. Room had an odd odor (smelled like onions....previous tenants sandwich garbage?) and there was an odor of cigarette smoke in the hall...coming from outside. Also found it a bit noisy with noisy from upstairs neighbor. Breakfast was pretty basic and not as good as, say, at a HI Express. For the ladies...lighting at the sink was terrible so might be rough doing makeup. Front desk staff was courteous and welcoming. internet worked fine. Bed was quite comfortable and the heating cooling system was in full operation (was able to cool my room to a lower temp when so many places lock out cooling in the winter).

I've stayed here several times and when rates are affordable (the place is often overpriced) it's one of my favorites in the Portland area.
That said, it's not perfect and I noticed a slight decline in hospitality and service but nowhere near what some people wrote below. I also had an instance here where I left a watch in my room and they did find it and hold it for me. I didn't see any rudeness but the staff was a bit less friendly than in the past.
I don't think it would be fair to say that this place is going downhill. Maybe at the most I saw a 5-10% decline, so-to-speak, and hopefully the hotel's owners will use this feedback to assess what's going well and what isn't. If they don't then it might wind up that it does start going downhill and that would be unfortunate.

I checked into a room that had not been cleaned by housekeeping. Problem number one. I received a new room. I got into a new room. Upon showering I noticed a massive amount of mildew on the shower curtains. First of all, plastic liners nor shower curtains should exist in a hotel room in 2021. Only a shower pan or tiled shower should exist. No one bathes in a tub anymore. Tubs are tripping hazards and if tubs are excuses to exist for children, well children should be left at home with Grandma while their parents enjoy a trip away in a hotel room with a proper shower with a glass sliding door.
I’ve stayed in two different rooms in this hotel. Both times I experienced old, hardened, and over-washed bath towels that felt like sandpaper on the edges.

Stayed here and they charged me a deposit 3 times. And over charged me for all 4 nights. It was only suppose to be $59 a night. I got charged a deposit for 3 days in a row. The staff was not welcoming. I paid $700 for just 4 nights. And the house keeping would just push their way into my room especially when I didn’t give consent. Worst stay ever.

The location is good with access to a wide variety of restaurants. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. We were traveling by motorcycle, so I was happy to hear there is security patrols throughout the night in the parking lot. The front desk staff even allowed me to park under the front awning.

I had a reservation and canceled it before the specified date of not returning the deposit. The reservation was made in June and I didn't contact them until November because I thought the deposit would automatically be credited back. In November, the front desk staff told me he would transfer the case to the manager. Based on my trust in Marriott and the hotel, I just waited. And till Jan, I made contact again, finally till February I got an email from the manager telling me.
"I wanted to address the cancellation of your stay back in July. Despite the passage of time, we haven't received any communication from you regarding the charge until the middle of January. Regrettably, our system retention period has elapsed, and as a result, the charge is no longer recognized by our system. Consequently, we're unable to issue any credit in this regard. "
So they are taking about 800 dollars deposit from me because they didn't refund me on time? How ridiculous that is! Based on this experience, I don't think they can provide good service. Because they don't care.
(I called them 5 times. Every time they told me "I will transfer to the manager" but no one handled it. I even emailed Marriott Customer Service several times but the hotel did nothing. The customer team confirmed the deposit should be back)

We were a family of 8 booked 2 rooms we are elite members as well. The front desk girl was the RUDEST person I have ever encountered in a Marriott property.
#1 I booked an ADA accessible room as I am in a wheelchair. She said sorry we had a baseball team come in I gave your room to them. So no bathroom the wheelchair wouldn’t fit between the 2 beds so I had to have my son and husband physically moving beds around. But no access to the bathroom after we specifically called and confirmed!!
#2 One of the lightbulbs was burnt out we asked for a replacement she said and I quote We don’t have lightbulbs! Really??
#3 Asked for extra towels same answer
#4 We are elite members didn’t even get acknowledged or points
#5 She hung up on my husband when he called. We have NEVER been treated so poorly
I am just appalled they would let someone work the front desk that treats customers as she did and what’s the point of making a reservation if it’s wrong anyway?

Dear Shawnee2486, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at our Marriott property. We deeply apologize for the series of disappointments you encountered during your stay. Your feedback is truly valuable to us, as it allows us to address and rectify the issues that impacted your visit. We understand the importance of a comfortable and hassle-free stay, particularly when guests entrust us with their special moments and family gatherings. We sincerely regret that we fell short of your expectations, especially as esteemed elite members of our loyalty program. The situation you described concerning the ADA accessible room allocation is completely unacceptable. We understand how vital it is for such accommodations to be available as requested. We deeply regret the inconvenience this caused and understand the frustration it must have caused to you and your family. We will review our room allocation procedures to ensure such instances are prevented in the future. Regarding the lightbulb replacement and the request for extra towels, we apologize for the dismissive response you received. This does not align with the service standards we aim to provide. We are taking steps to ensure our staff is equipped and ready to promptly fulfill such requests in the future. We are equally disappointed to hear that you did not receive the acknowledgment and recognition that elite members deserve. Your loyalty means a lot to us, and we understand that this oversight was hurtful. The incident of your husband's call being disconnected is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. We deeply regret the frustration this caused and assure you that we will conduct a thorough review of our communication procedures to prevent this from happening again. Your feedback has been shared with our management team to address these issues, enhance staff training, and improve overall guest experiences. While we understand that this experience has left you disappointed, we hope that you might consider giving us another chance to demonstrate the high level of service we usually provide. If you decide to stay with us again, we assure you that we will do everything in our power to provide you and your family with the excellent stay you deserve. Please reach out to us directly if there is anything we can do to assist you further. Thank you once again for bringing these matters to our attention. We are committed to learning from this and improving for the benefit of our valued guests. Warm regards, Cassie Owen cassandra.owen@marriott.com

I have family in town, 5 minutes away. Just great! Brand new remodeled suite! Paint smell was gone by the time I showed up. Maids were great and stocked me up with coffee. Yes, tip the heck out of them and they will take good care of you! Free breakfast in the morning, 7 to 9am. Slept great! I love thick hotel mattresses! Lots of USB ports to charge electronics, I stayed 3 nights, played hard with my family and stumbled up to my room every night to sleep. Laundry service!
One thing that's really important to me, air circulation! Sometimes a unit can be very loud. Not so here, very quiet and efficient. Need to stay in town? Check it out! Sure worked for me, and I will be back next year! Thanks everybody!

This was a *Next Level Cleanliness* FAIL. For the first time in over 442 lifetime nights with Marriott, the mold/mildew growth experienced with the shower and liner was beyond disgusting and completely unacceptable. This was Friday night. It is now Monday night and not a word from the GM or Marriott Customer Care. They were both sent the horrific pictures. Avoid this location if you're able. #MarriottIsImploding

Hello - check in time is at 3pm. Have a great day!
Good morning Cooldjworld,
The sofa beds are size full. I would sleep one adult or perhaps two small children on them. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions. Have a great weekend!
My guess is that they do not but I'd call the hotel directly. Information on the web isn't always accurate.
They provide shuttle from Hotel to Airport and some other places around the hotel. To go from airport to the Hotel you can get a shuttle in the airport. It is easy, you get in the area where all shuttles are parked.
