The front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly. Check in and out was very easy and smooth. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. The room had an amazing view of the east river, Roosevelt Island and queens Boro Bridge. I would highly recommend staying for any occasion.

The Bentley is a great value for a stay on the upper East side, located close to several hospitals. My husband was scheduled for an emergent biopsy/ surgery at MSK. I initially booked 2 nights based purely on geography. The hotel is walking distance to the hospital & located next to a parking garage. I sent a note that I would need a prompt 3pm check in. Coming from southern NJ the hotel is located immediately on the right after the parking garage when you exit the FDR. I arrived at 11:30 to drop my suitcase & was told I could have my room early for no additional charge! I left my car at the MSK lot for the night & walked to the hotel without a problem. TV was not digital but that was not a priority. The room was musty at 11:30 but much better after letting the ac run & returning later. The sheets were clean, toiletries & soap were adequate & there was an excellent diner up the block. Yes, they don’t have coffee in the rooms but they offer full breakfast for $25 on site. This hotel is a great, albeit no frills bargain! After the biopsy it was determined in the early AM that my husband’s surgery was not required, . Initially he planned to spend the night with me in the city. When we got back to the room at 9am he felt ill & wanted to go home. I explained my dilemma to Jaria at the front desk & she arranged a credit! I was very anxious throughout my stay and the staff went out of there way to make a very difficult time easier. What more can you ask for - I would definitely return.

I was transferred to this hotel from Marcel at Gramercy. Bentley hotel looks better on pictures. It’s quite old and not that clean. I would say, we only slept there so I did not care that much but for some people it might be a problem. Overall, all the staff was beyond nice, friendly and kind. The beds were very comfortable. We had a beautiful view from the window as well. But the carpet had some ugly stains, it did not look clean at all so I had to make sure I had my shoes on all the time. Some buildings around were under construction including the road so it looks odd once you arrive. Area is quite safe. It takes about 40 minutes to walk to the Times Square so we mostly had to use Uber all the time. Hotel offers the breakfast for an additional charge. There is no shop inside of the hotel if you need to buy some snacks or drinks. The bar was also closed.

We were given a room at the Bentley after our booking at their sister hotel was cancelled at the last minute. The staff at the front desk were a real credit to the hotel - always friendly and welcoming. The room itself had maybe seen better days. We were upgraded to a king sized room due to the issues with our original hotel. The room was clean with no major issues however there were a few issues that would probably not be difficult to resolve - for example wallpaper beginning to peel, carpet not fitted correctly in areas. As other reviewers have mentioned, rooms aren’t cleaned every day but this was mentioned at check in and wasn’t an issue for us. Lack of restaurant/bar isn’t great but there’s so many lovely places nearby that it doesn’t matter too much. In general a decent hotel that from our experience doesn’t totally merit the recent bad reviews. Not too far away from Times Square and Central Park. Clean room and friendly staff but could use a bit of time spent on decor.

We have stayed for 8 nights at The Bentley, mived from our originally booking, The Hendricks, due to overbooking. The hotel, supposedly a 4-star hotel was understaffed. We observed several problems in our stay. First, although check in time was 3pm, we couldn’t get into our rooms prior to 4:15pm. The room itself was reasonably well furnished except for the TV, too small and outdated. Bathroom was small and lack amenities, like showercap and face towells. Air conditioning was not functioning properly and took 4-5 days to fix it. There is no daily housekeeping service. In summary, If I had to resume in one word our stay at this hotel, It would be a disappointment.

Wasn't that bad, good if traveling alone. Pros- close to the hospital, it across the street from each other. Comfortable bed, plenty of lighting in the room, full length mirror and blow-dryer in bathroom. Rooms, hallways lobby all looked clean. I had plenty of towels and 1 wash cloth, dint hear any outside noise or neighbors next to me. Helpful staff , was able to check in early and get a late check out as well. Cons- no restaurant/bar or room service on site, had to order food through an ap or the call local place that would deliver. No microwave or coffee maker in room. It did have a mini fridge though. Tub did back up while taking a shower, could use a good drano cleaning. Ac didn't get that cold only down to 69 degrees. TV Wasn't the greatest but it worked and I had sports channels ( MSG SNY ESPN) All in all Wasn't that awful place could a facelift with furniture, if you need a place to stay over a night or 2 it's not bad... would not stay with more than 2 people. 3 stars 🌟

The hotel is dirty. The carpet is placed on an uneven floor, like a temporary camping. They do not make up the room daily and even forgot to put towels in the room. Very noisy, big street work are happening and they do not pre informe their guests. No amenities, No gym, no coffee or any food available in the hotel.

This isn’t even a 1. Everything about this hotel says “cheap”. The rooms are dirty, the towels are dirty, there are no lights, the buttons to get an elevator are missing, 2 bath towels, 1 mat for the bathroom. No clock. The TV is a 15” job. No bar, no restaurant (luckily or the roaches would be obese).

NO, I repeat, DO NOT book at the BENTLEY Hotel. It's dirty, overpriced, lousy customer service, shoddy rooms, ripped beds, ripped curtains, and housekeeping only comes every other day. Nobody tells you that your room will not be cleaned every day, and getting tired at the end of the day and finding everything dirty is depressing. Pictures of the hotel online are fake. My best advice is DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL.
