Upper West Side
Nestled between Central Park and the Hudson River, the Upper West Side offers iconic architecture and a quiet, residential respite from the buzzing energy of downtown. Along Central Park West are many of the city’s most iconic apartment buildings, as well as the American Museum of Natural History, which has been welcoming visitors to its historic exhibit halls for over 140 years. Culture fans will love Lincoln Center, home to some of the world’s best opera, dance, film, and theatre performances, all centrally located around a beautiful fountain. Spanning the entire length of the Upper West Side, Riverside Park is ideal for a long, leisurely stroll in a quiet green space.

If you've researched hotels in Manhattan you know that you'll be paying a lot of $$, for a really small room and probably very few amenities. Well, this hotel is right off of riverside drive (so great for walkers and runners) and a $15 Lyft ride from the theater district and

Nothing fancy, very basic but very clean and reasonably priced. The only issue was being awakened in the middle of the night by partiers down the hall. Would definitely stay here again when in New York City.

I booked through the hotel and I did not need to make a deposit. Believe they put a hold on your credit card when you check in and process it when you leave

We didn't have a car when we stayed in NY, but the area around the Riverside Hotel is, like the majority of the city, safe. Good luck driving in the city though, I would opt for the subway or walking any day!
