Location wise is very good, check in was lovely the guy was lovely check out was horrible reception staff were so rude and obnoxious. There was no hot water in the shower we were having to have a body wash at the sink we were there for 5 days and room wasn't cleaned once we had to use the same towels the bathroom was filthy dirty the window in the room didn't open we were staying on the 7th floor that was the only room on the floor and there was no lift we had to walk up cement creepy stairs the fore exit door was left wide open. The bed was very comfortable and was a good location to view the city the room was very outdated needs a good over haul. I wouldn't stay here again
Reviews have been mixed but I had a great stay here. The front desk people were friendly and professional. There was always hot coffee in the lobby area. The elevator is slow but I used the stairs since my room was on the 2nd floor. While small the room was clean and fresh smelling. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of towels and toiletries. No problems with water pressure or temperature while taking a shower. I didn't notice any loud street noises even with a bar across the street. Could not beat the location for theater going and plenty of shops and eateries in the area.
Wonderful stay with the family. Location was perfect walking distance to Times Square and very accessible. German Pimentel was a generous gentleman and made our stay a delightful experience!! He was very helpful and made our stay in such a big city easy and enjoyable. Thank you, kudos to him!! Kids loved the hotel and enjoyed the proximity to Times Square, a worthy experience.
Arrived with my son got told tui haven’t sent payment over an I would have to pay another 740 dollers….. because I questioned this it was soon sorted…. I got sold bed and breakfast with the holiday to find there was no breakfast all I had off the man was we stopped it when covid come. Room tiny full of damp bath stinking dirty we just got on with it as it was our first visit to the city… the one woman behind the counter I didn’t get a name was absolutely amazing very helpful with directions. Location is perfect but in all honesty the hotel needs fumigating oh an I’m still waiting on my deposit back and it’s 14 days
The rooms are NYC small (do the luggage shuffle and take turns in the bathroom small) however very clean and very convenient to Time Square, Rockefeller Plaza, Radio City Music Hall, Broadway, etc.. Staff was friendly and helpful. Also pretty quiet location on a side street - yes bar across the street but if you run the window AC/Heat at night, it blocks out all sounds. Bed was comfortable and pillows were great - even though the queen bed is tight in the room, none of us woke up with sore backs which is unusual. Carve, the pizza place on the corner, had great pizza. Times Square Diner is 1 block away and Krispy Kreme and Junior's 2-3 blocks away. Yes, the rooms are small -- dorm room small/smaller than some people's walk-in closets small and fun to reminisce about how small - but if you are trying to save money on hotel stays in a safe and convenient location, then the Econo Lodge is a great choice. …
The staff is very nice and really make the place . Tamika has been wonderful. As well as the rest of the team. The elevators are a little slow. And the towels seem super overly used. But for the price and the location I really can’t complain. They really tried to make you feel comfortable and safe. The beds I will say were super made up nicely the housekeeping is good and they really dress up the bed nice .. overall I think it’s a good price during the week and a comfy bed with a nice tv :)
Super close to the subway, and attractions. Loved it. A nice hotel to stay if you are just looking for a hotel to stay while you explore NYC. Nothing super fancy, just a great location. Loved that there was coffee and hot water available by the front desk.
I checked in here with my boyfriend on October 14th. I checked in right at 3 and got the room right away. They let us store our bags there before check in since we arrived early. I was made to pay a $100 deposit and was told it would be refunded when I checked out. The bed and the rest of the room were clean except for the bath towels. They had dirt and stains on them so we couldn’t use them. We didn’t complain about it because it wasn’t that big of a deal. My main issue is the deposit. I only stayed there 2 nights, checked out October 16. It is now November 3rd and I STILL HAVE NOT gotten my deposit back. I called almost two weeks ago on October 22nd and was told it would be a couple more days. It’s been almost 3 weeks now but when checking out I was told UP TO 10 days??
I don't think I've seen a worse hotel in my life. The filthy carpet in my room on the prestigious 6th floor had holes cut in it, and they tried to cover it by taking the big "Econo lodge " door mat from the front door of the hotel and put it on top. The furniture was at least 30 years old and all scratched up. The air conditioner was something out of the 1970's type of window unit. With tax the room was over $400 !!!!
This was my first time visiting NYC and I wanted to be close to Radio City without breaking the bank. This was just the place for it. If you are still reading this- you have probably read the other reviews. The rooms ARE tiny- like everyone says. Don’t expect yours to be any different. My room was too warm, so I opened my window. As to not be disturbed by outside noises, I put in my earplugs. You are paying for a cheaper hotel, you are going to get a cheaper hotel. If the price was right, I would stay on my return trip.
