My stay at the Westgate was amazing! Nestor was very nice and helpful. I appreciate him a lot. José, the doorman was incredibly helpful and so nice! Tony was also really nice. They both looked out for me and ensured I had what I needed. José got me a water after a long day out in the sun. Both offered to get me cabs whenever I went out. If you stay there, look for Tony and José, who always had a great attitude. The hotel itself is beautiful, the room Nestor gave us was very comfortable and had a balcony with a great view. I can’t wait to come back! Im a Westgate owner in Orlando and they’re good.I have to say though that the service here was absolutely amazing, and everyone went above and beyond to make our short stay feel special.

Hotel's Favourite
After months of looking and panic at the constant reference to how small NYC hotel rooms are we decided to book the Westgate, it’s clean modern formally the “Tudor”. It has had a nice facelift, things you need to know “free wifi” this can cost you in NYC so good to be free also 24hr prior free cancel so with pandemic it’s good to have this option. The hotel Is about 500m from Grand Central so perfect for access across tele city, $5.50 gets you out and back to most areas with minimal issues. It’s a 20-25 minute walk to Time Square, Broadway, the Chrysler building is about 400m away 20 Mins to Rockafella so near most places,. The room 1616 was spacious big floor space closet (wardrobe) and average bathroom, hot water took a few minutes to build up and maintenance sorted it within 5 mins of asking. We’ll worth a stay and we’d use this place again if we came back to NYC.

In June 2022, I visited the hotel with a group. It was interesting that non of our 5 rooms were the same. The rooms were comfortable and pretty basic. But the rooms were clean and the staff was nice. Chafik stands out for being extra helpful. The only issue was the the website let us book a 2 bedroom suite and when we arrived the hotel staff informed us there were no such suite in the hotel.

The hotel was nice and well ocated. The guestroom was little small but confortable. We regretted that there is no restaurant in this hotel. The Market place has not a lot of things to offer and it was very expensive. The personal was kind and competent. Special mention to Chafik, the janitor. We thank him because he helped us for reserving a taxi. And he speaks french, it was cool for us. We thanks also José who helped us with our luggage. We recommended thid hotel in NYC Mohamed and Isabelle

A Must Stay!! Great staff, location, and hotel! Check-in was quick. The staff members were professional, attentive, and kind! I recommend that you upgrade to a room with a balcony. It's worth it! I will be returning and recommending it!!!!

Excellent location; great price. Half mile walk to Grand Central (subways) and Times Square. But, far enough away for a quiet night. The resort fee is the lowered star rating… what resort, guys? However, good, large-ish room, clean, good amenities, helpful people (especially Jose the bellhop).

As was a first-time hotel guest May 30 -June 3, 2022, I shared a pleasant 2 queen room and a spacious bathroom with a travel companion. The room, while not large, was very clean and adequately comfortable. My review is a sincere thank you to hotel staff: in particular Jose the Doorman, Dennis the Bell Man, Chirstina at Reception and Jamie in the cafe. Jose and Dennis seemed genuinely glad to see us return in the evenings and made us feel welcome, attentive without hovering, anticipating what we needed. Christina was most accommodating to our requests, generous with helpful information answering our tourist questions. Jamie was very amiable and kept a busy cafe efficient (grab and go food, not breakfast) and quick to serve lots of hotel guests in the early a.m.. Overall, a terrific location ((42 St and Third) and a great stay away from home.

Excellent property and very convenient to Times Square. The valet/doorman (Jose), was pleasant and extremely helpful. Mr. Jose provided high quality customer service. Please give him a reward. The Property is clean and has a fantastic old time charm. Overall, I had a great experience with the Westgate New York Grand Central NY; staff was incredibly helpful (Doorman) and the amenities were great.
