Detailed Reviews
I stayed at the Bowery for a recent work trip. The client chose it so I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, it exceeded any expectations I would've had. It was beautiful and quaint, and the service was impeccable. The turndown service was particularly special with sparkling water, desserts, and slippers. The bar downstairs was a great place to meet up with friends and coworkers. And the location could not have been better. They were also super accommodating to any service requests like printing or room service. Would definitely stay again on my next trip to NYC!

We stayed at the Bowery last month for 3 nights. We really enjoyed the convenient location. There are tons of restaurants and shopping that you can walk to and to be honest we did not even want to leave this area. We had a suite room which had a gorgeous view but we were a little disappointed it was not a tad bit bigger, although having stayed in NY many times we are fully aware that the rooms are generally small. The lobby is very comfortable and nice with a fire place and couches. It is usually pretty crowded with people on their computers and having drinks in the area. The customer service we received was very good especially the hardworking doormen. The hotel feels like a really old hotel even though I am not sure it is really that old. We also learned it is at the location close to the old CBGB which we found really interesting & like learning all about that. Overall its a very cool hotel and nice place to stay and would def recommend.

The Bowery is true to their NYC history because the vibe matches the aesthetic.
Their room product is so cool without compromising comfort, with thoughtful accoutrements in the room, teddy bear, stationary & pencil! Bathroom amenities are generous, you’ll share a pair of Bowery slippers so you can bring the second pair home. The minibar prices were reasonable, who has M&m’s for $3.00 these days?
And Speaking of “These days” The Bowery delivers the NYT to your door. When a hotel delivers the weekend paper, it pretty much guarantees I’m ordering room service for breakfast. And I loved the Avocado toast from Gemma.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will definitely return

As a weekly traveler for business, I am very picky about hotels and this one is now one of my favorites! This unique building that is relatively new construction with and old world feel inside is both beautiful and intriguing. In the heart of a wonderful neighborhood, the rooms are peaceful even with the floor to ceiling windows that reveal the beauty of NYC - if you can get an eastern facing view, the sunrise is worth getting up for! The service is perfect - just enough to make you feel cared for, but not overbearing. The restaurant and special events venues are stunning and the food delicious. I would be remiss not to mention the FABULOUS shower.. in many NYC hotels, water pressure and temperature are less than desirable... not here... I looked forward to every shower! As someone who spends almost 100 nights a year in hotels... this one is a gem!

The reason I refer to our experiences at The Bowery Hotel as "pleasant surprises" is because every hotel promises great service but they don't always deliver. The Bowery is a grand exception in that, for us, they got all the little things right.....every day, every time.
Room made up AND turn down service each day at the requested time? Check. Extra half and half with room service order? Check. Extra ketchup for room service French fries? They brought the whole, unopened bottle (not the typical 'extra packets' of Sysco stuff). Would you like a newspaper delivered each morning? Could we have both the Times and the Post? Check...same time every morning.
Everyone we interacted with on the staff was pleasant, engaged and genuinely helpful. Like every other business on the planet, I imagine they are challenged by staffing shortages but from our experience, you'd never know it.
We just enjoyed our stay so much and highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Stayed at The BOWERY to celebrate my Husband's special Birthday... We were so well looked after! We stayed in room 911, a corner room with double aspect windows, if you looked to the right, you could see the Empire State Building! We were welcomed with a bottle of fizz and a card to say happy birthday! The room had everything you needed for a 5* stay, from robes and slippers, nice toiletries, turn down service, and 24hr room service! The whole team really go out of their way to look after their guests, and are very strict with covid guidelines. (You can't get in without proof of vaccination). The hotel lobby bar is strictly for residents, which gives an exclusive feel. There is also a bar area for non residents, and you can order food from Gemma next door (Italian restaurant) and the whole place feels like an exclusive Gentleman's Club of old. It's such a relaxed atmosphere and the reception team are are so knowledgeable of the best places to eat and drink!
10mins walk from the hotel is Katz Diner, go left from the Hotel and 30mins walk takes you through Chinatown to the Brooklyn Bridge, go right, 30 mins takes you through Union Square to the Empire State Building.... if you're looking to stay away from the tourist traps of Times Square, then the Bowery Hotel is the place to stay....

The Bowery is the quintessential NYC experience. I lived in NYC for 8 years, and now I visit the city every 5 to 6 weeks for work. I won’t stay anywhere other than the Bowery Hotel. The location couldn’t be better; you can walk to anything you need and have easy access to uptown, Wall Street, and Brooklyn. The rooms are unique, and the bar and lounge downstairs are perfect for getting work done or catching up with friends over drinks. The fireplace makes it cozy during winter, and the patio is ideal during summer.
Honestly, the only problem with The Bowery Hotel is that I don’t ever want to leave when I am there. It feels like home, and it is an absolute NYC jewel.

We traveled to NYC on the 22nd of December and for the first time, we stayed at the Bowery Hotel. As soon as we entered the hotel we knew we made a great decision. Check-in was perfect, we had our suitcases delivered immediately and got a perfect room for our stay. The view was impressive (12th Floor Corner Queen Room), the size was just right, the bed was super comfy, good space cloth, great closet, and a super modern bathroom. The mini bar had snacks, lots of liquor, and a champagne bottle that we immediately opened. We were very happy with our decision.
The room service was incredible, the food from Gemma is delicious, the breakfast was delivered on time, tea was excellent. The newspaper came every morning (you get to choose) and service to the rum was immediate. Every night you get cookies and freshwaters.
The lobby has a unique bar, with a fireplace, where you can share snacks and drinks. The doorman was super friendly and helpful and all my deliveries (secret gifts for the wife) can quickly to the room.
Location, Location... for us, is about the less crowded part of the city, near the east village, west village, Soho, Little Italy, and the lower eastside. Walking distance from the subways, with a few options: Bowery/Lafayette (orange), 8th Street (yellow), 6th street (green).
Lots of nice restaurants and bars within walking distance, great shopping also.
We will definitely go back!!!

I was nervous for the stay b/c I know NYC hotel rooms can be so small. This place blew me away. The room wasn't massive, but larger than I expected. Space for 2 nightstands, small table w/2 chairs and a desk/dresser. But it was the staff and the details that leave me with such great memories. The front desk staff of Joseph, Calista & Marley were amazing. They were friendly, approachable, fun and incredibly helpful. They answered all of my questions and gave me great recommendations. 10/10 for them! I also loved all of the small details that added so much charm to this hotel. A vintage rug (or seemed like it) in the room, the teddy bear on the bed, the room keys, embroidered duvet, the lamps, the service/clean my room signs - even the mini bar and towel holders were charming! And a self-addressed stamp envelope on the desk for feedback. Every detail was thought of. Even when we called the front desk twice for things we needed they were up within 5 minutes. And there was the most charming bar and lounge room. I love every part of this hotel and would love to come back!

This is a 5 star hotel with all of the creature comforts and none of the pretenses one might expect in New York. Service is impeccable, rooms well appointed and restaurant/room service devine. The lovely parlor and bar area with fireplace and gently worn cozy seating beckon a leisurely afternoon with friends, a book or an adult beverage! The location is perfectly situated on the Lower East Side, with SOHO, West Village and Union Square all within easy walking distance. My favorite New York Hotel.

I imagine you can. I didn't drive a car, but they did offer to take my luggage prior to check-in. They were very accommodating.
Unsure but you can smell
Marijuana up n down the halls of the room floors. It’s New York, they do what they want.
Yes but they are not Guaranteed
I asked and was told they were having a hard time keeping them in stock. But , that might have changed.
