Let me start by saying this hotel is comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious by New York standards. Guest services was professional and friendly. However, the hotel isn’t inexpensive so you’re paying for all the little niceties.

Yes, there is a small mart on the corner of 50th & 2nd but if you go down 50th & turn right into 2nd there is a large 24 hour supermarket that sells EVERYTHING. It even has a huge takeaway area up until about 7pm which has hot food, soup, salads, dessert etc. Just ask one of the friendly door men at Affinia if you need to know anything.
