I was catered to by a gentlemen named Golden. He made offered fun ideas while in NY, he made sure my room was to my liking and he had great mannerism. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel if you want a great experience while on a budget.

My wife and I stayed here 2 years ago and stayed here again during our recent trip to NY. This hotel has everything a tourist needs: great location with easy walk: to multiple subway lines, to Chinatown, to Little Italy, to the Tenement Museum & the Lower East Side. The desk clerks are friendly and helpful. The rooms (for a NY hotel) are a good size, have a wonderful dual head shower (great for easing the muscle aches from all that walking) and are pretty quiet (yes sirens penetrate but little else does). We were (both times) at the far end of the hall from the elevator. The WiFi signal was good, the beds were comfortable, adequate towels and good lighting in the bathroom. For a three night stay for 2, there was enough drawers and hanging space to unpack. And the off season Feb. price was really good!

If you’re looking for a four-star property with a high-tech room to hide in the whole weekend, this is not the place for you. If you’re looking to rest after a long day of shopping the streets of Soho or eating your way through Chinatown this may be more your speed. First thing to know is, the property is very small with only 50 or so rooms in the building. That being said, it’s relatively quiet and other guests don’t really get in your way. The location is worth every penny as it’s only a few steps away from all the subways stopping at Canal St. The rooms weren’t the biggest but it’s no problem if you’re traveling with people you like. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions & finding good spots in the area to shop and eat. (Thank you so much Fernando!) Reading some of the reviews before booking did make me a little skeptical but the price for the location was just unbeatable. I would definitely recommend this cozy spot for solo travelers, couples, or friends just looking to experience NYC as it is.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Solita Soho hotel. The entire staff was incredibly warm, friendly, knowledgeable and so accommodating. We stayed there for 10 days, and when we left, I felt like I was leaving a part of my family behind. The rooms may have been on the smaller side, but we expected it for New York. Still, four of us had no problem cohabitating in the space for 10 days so it worked well for us. The beds were ultra comfortable and each night I looked forward to a great nights sleep in our home away from home. Our room faced the street and yet we heard very little noise at night which was a major plus too. The hotel is in a perfect location and near so many amazing places to visit, eat and shop. The access to the subway was also a very short distance from the hotel. Another plus for the hotel is their manager Keith. He is a truly one in a million. My husband and I wanted to extend our reservation a couple more days and stay over Veterans weekend. Keith literally worked tirelessly to accommodate us and locked in a rate that was truly cheaper than what we expected. Plus, we were able to stay in our original room!! Service like that is a rarity nowadays but at the Solita Soho hotel, it seems like the standard!! Keith has set the bar high! There are pastries and coffee for guests in the morning available in the lobby ,and lemonade and cookies in the afternoon. Such unexpected treats that made our stay even more perfect! If we ever find our way back to New York, I won't hesitate to book this hotel again, and I will definitely recommend it to everyone I know!! YOU will not be disappointed!

I booked this hotel because I got a good offer (all other hotels in Manhattan were much more expensive), so when we arrived, I was surprised that it was a very nice place. Our room was small but really confortable and the bath was modern and nice. We got a room on the 12th floor and the NY view was amazing. The área the hotel is located is great, in the Soho, but Chinatown and Little Italy were blocks away, and Subway stations very close. I know where I'm saying my next trips to NY.

I had to book a hotel very last-minute for a recent trip and didn't want to spend a bundle. I'm so happy I chose the Solita! The room was small, but clean, with a great shower and view of the city. The front desk staff was consistently friendly and helpful. There was also free coffee and pastry at the front desk around 7am each day. The air conditioner worked great and I could not hear any noise from neighbouring rooms. Only con was that the windows were not very sound-proof, so street noise could be heard from up on the 10th floor. Despite this, I still slept great. Would definitely return!

Disappointing. Room was tiny. Service was terrible. We returned to the room in the evening to find our room had not been serviced. The front desk told us this has to be requested. No one told us that when we checked in. When we requested service the next morning for that day, we were told you have to request the night before. We stayed 3 nights. No room service. No trash removed. Nothing. When I made the reservation, I paid for late checkout. The day of checkout, the hotel called at noon and turned off our keys. When I stated I had paid for late checkout, they responded it was my responsibility to let them know. Very frustrating. Lobby is worn. No A/C in lobby. No place to hang long clothing. Lots of street noise. Wouldn’t return.

We're disappointed your stay with us was less than ideal. We care about the comfort of our guests, so it's disheartening that you were not advised at check in that room service must be requested . It's also disheartening that our front desk was not aware of your late check out. The happiness and satisfaction of our guests is important to us, so we'll be sure to address both of these concerns moving forward. Regards Keith Front Office Supervisor

The location is good if you need to be on this side of Manhattan - it's very close to/next to Chinatown and Little Italy. The subway station is a 5-minute walk away so that is convenient.

Staff we encountered was quite friendly, if a little green - the effort is definitely there.

Rooms are pretty tight and fairly basic, but we didn't mind too much. Our door would get stuck and we would have to really push it in order to get it open. The lock is a little suspect and didn't feel secure. We were on the top floor (I think) and it was a little strange it that there's only two rooms on this and so it's a very small space. The "hallway" outside the room was about 5 feet wide and 10 feet long? So it was a very very enclosed space. Which leads us to...

The clientele wasn't great. For example, the people next door to us were extremely loud and combative. It seemed like everything they could slam, they did, and you could hear them arguing and it made us uneasy. One night around 2AM they came back and we were awoken to what sounded like someone trying to ram their door open. I think their door got stuck like ours but instead of just pushing hard it sounded like they were either throwing their body against it or kicking it open. It was actually really scary because if we left the room the people would be right there. Remember, the "hallway" wasn't really a hallway at all, just a very small space. I was very glad to have only booked here a couple of nights.

We stayed from July 1-5, 2023 at the Solita Soho Hotel. This has become our hotel of choice when we visit NYC (we come into city 4-5 times a year). The price is excellent. It’s 2-3 blocks from shopping, walkable to best food & the subway is 4 blocks. The rooms are clean and the staff are terrific. Keith and the rest of staff are very helpful and friendly—from the best place to watch the fireworks to hey, I just brought in these cookies, please have one—they are the best. We are already planning our December trip & will be back with our friends at Solita Soho Hotel again.

Quite a basic hotel, but very clean, comfortable beds, handy touches like hair dryers and irons. The best bit was the wonderful staff.

This is top down, led by Keith.

Such a warm friendly welcome. So very helpful, Keith gave us great tips on how to get about, Keith also lent us umbrellas- boy does it rain hard in NYC

Great location, wonderful places to eat nearby. Breakfast at Maman, Butlers and Coffee for Sasquatch was a real treat.

Soon to be renovated. Will definitely book again we felt so safe and looked after.

Absolutely. Under $200 a night for that location and quality (decent/ clean, nothing fancy) is a great deal. It's right next to Chinatown and within a 2-4 block walk of several subway stops.
