Nestled in the bustling heart of Soho, the Nomo Soho Hotel is a hit for its prime location close to myriad eateries and shops. Guests commend the hotel for its pristine cleanliness and stylish, artistic ambiance, though the charm is occasionally marred by reports of thin walls and a few tired elements.
Opinions on service and amenities swing from praise for room views and a unique entrance to critiques on additional fees and basic provision shortfalls. Room experiences also diverge, with accolades for cleanliness and views set against grievances regarding space and outdated decor.

Now that I resumed traveling for work, Nomo Soho is my go to hotel.
It’s conveniently located for me, and I enjoy having breakfast in their cozy, yet large outdoor seating area which really feels like it’s part of the restaurant.
The hotel has a modern vibe. Facilities have always been clean in my experience, and I am someone who is concerned about hygiene and COVID safety. The rooms all have little sealed welcome packs with complimentary face masks, etc.
During the week, I can usually find street parking fairly easily.
The reason why I’ve returned over the last few years is the staff who have been kind and patient. I’ve seen them keep composure as they deal with challenging clients who are rude and entitled.
In my experience, they have been professional, courteous, and kind to me.
In particular, Jeffrey provides outstanding customer service. He remembered my name after my first stay! When he asks how I’m doing, it’s not perfunctory. He truly wants to know and listens.
If I mention I’ll be traveling to a different state, he always seems to have a good restaurant recommendation!
And, if I need anything, he’s happy to quickly assist!
Thanks, Jeffrey :)

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
I have stayed at the Nomo Soho about five times, and each time had such a memorable stay. From the atmosphere, to the rooms, to the dining options at the hotel and nearby, this hotel is a true gem.
I would highly recommend this hotel Under normal circumstances, And amid the current pandemic, I think the hotel has gone above and beyond to be a super clean and stunning home away from home. Whether you're visiting the city for vacation
or just doing a staycation. Here are a few reasons why I love this hotel.
The service: during each of my stays, but particularly my most recent stay, I've been impressed with the hotel's team - they are truly five star, The hotel service has been phenomenal. I recently encountered one of the hotel managers Tenzin Basnet, He went above and beyond to ensure my stay with my newborn baby and husband was comfortable and enjoyable. We felt we were in great hands and an unforeseen issue with one of the rooms we had booked was seamlessly taken care of, putting us at ease. We had such a great time we even extended our stay an additional day. We enjoyed breakfast vouchers - breakfast and coffee arrived at our room hot and delicious.
The rooms: I have stayed in different room types around the hotel - all are lovely. Base your stay on what you need. I’ve stayed in a standard king, the Crosby suite, and one of the suites on the higher floors. Each room was impeccably decorated, including all the essentials and some cozy items like a bathrobe for maximum lounging. It was really great to have Chromecast in the rooms so we could log into our streaming services. It was like an upgraded version of our home experience. If you can, I highly recommend splurging on a room with a terrace so you can enjoy some private time outside and an incredible view.
The location/vibe: this hotel is flanked by the best neighborhoods in New York City for dining, shopping, art, culture— good vibes all around. There are so many cute shops and boutiques that are open, and you basically get a private shopping experience if you go during a week day. If you were coming from out of town it’s super easy to get a cab. If you’re driving in, it is possible to park in a nearby garage or street side. I think it says a lot that I stayed at this hotel as a treat for 30th birthday party, but also with my growing family! It's really versatile.
Thanks NoMo and especially Tenzin for an incredible stay!

Although this hotel has some strengths in terms of location and an attractive restaurant it doesn’t fulfill the basics you would expect of a 4 star hotel and should really be reclassified as 3 star until they address the small things that matter.
You simply can’t have a 4 star hotel that doesn’t serve breakfast 7 days a week. You can’t not offer coffee machines in the room and not serve coffee downstairs certain days of the week. You can’t have rooms tight lack basics like a cup to drink water from and similarly a gym that doesn’t offer stocked paper cups. You can’t offer a $15/day restaurant credit in a restaurant that may not have space to receive you due to external guests dining there and limited opening hours to accommodate the guests you’ve offered the credit to.
I booked without doing my research because frankly you shouldn’t have to. Those things should all be given at a 4 star hotel but sadly here they are not, which may be a function of it being an independent hotel that has got a bit sloppy and doesn’t have to adhere to brand standards of a chain with established standards.
I would avoid the hotel until they address the basics …or just reset your expectations for the stay until management address these small but consequential things that add up to a poor experience.

Visited for 5 night stay, hotel is located in a great area on Crosby St. When we arrived around 7pm with 3 large bags and carry on, there was no one to help with bags or guidance where to check in. After standing around in reception we were advised to use elevator to go up a floor. Check in was quick and easy. Room was compact but very nice decor and clean and comfy bed. We had a great stay until we had to check out when we found a hidden extra $45.90 per day per room which BA or check in staff failed to advise when we purchased the package and checked in, the fee which seems totally excessive when there is no turn down service, no real concierge or help in main reception. The few times I had asked for information regarding a day trip to shopping outlet I was made to feel a inconvenience by the front desk, and all I got was a fairly short response. Also not sure if they have smoke detectors in room but to be woken up by a pungent smell of weed 2 days running it seems not. If there wasn’t the high amenity fee I would have given a better review but the amenity fee for the lack of hospitality we received really spoilt our trip

We stayed at the Nomo Soho as part of a trip to New York City and found it to be very well located. We were able to walk or catch the subway to wherever we were going easily.
The rooms were quirky but clean and comfortable. They were able to arrange us having adjoining rooms as we had requested in advance. The check in staff were helpful but when we wanted to have a drink in the bar/restaurant area one night, it was made clear that we weren’t really welcome to have a table unless we were eating. Because of this, we went elsewhere.
The wine hour was fun to have although we were only around for it twice during our stay. In my opinion, the amenity fee isn’t necessary or worth it for guests and should either be built into the room rate or scrapped entirely. Things like WiFi should be included - not paid for as an extra as part of an amenity fee.
Overall, it was a good stay and we would recommend this hotel. The entrance is very pretty and was good for photos.

I very rarely write reviews, however felt after this experience it was necessary. I recently stayed here for one night with my significant other over Valentine's Day weekend for a fun staycation as we both live in the city. The hotel itself was beautiful, the room was clean, and we had a great view of the city. Unfortunately, the service was far from enjoyable and quite frankly unprofessional.
Sunday morning, we were awoken by someone trying to intrude into our room without any warning. There was no knock and they used a key to open the door. Luckily, we had the top lock on so they were unable to enter the room. Shortly after, we received a call from the front desk asking if we were still in the room. We said yes, and then were informed that it was security who had tried to come in. Confused as to why security would be entering our room while we were asleep in the first place, we asked, and were informed that the hotel's system said we were checked out. So, instead of knocking or simply calling our room first to confirm if we were still there, security chose to attempt to sneak into our room without making themselves known. It is incredibly unprofessional and quite honestly frightening that hotel staff would try to enter your room unannounced while you are asleep. A hotel should be responsible to some degree to ensure the safety of their guests, and that has seriously been called into question if you employ security that attempts to barge into a guest's room without simply knocking first.
We then decided to order room service, as it was still Valentine's Day weekend and we wanted to salvage what was left of our stay. After an hour of waiting, our food finally arrived. However, the coffee we ordered was spilt all over the meals and we were missing several pieces to our order. We contacted the front desk and they informed us that the restaurant manager would be coming up to our room to inspect our order. After opening both boxes of food to ensure we were not trying to pull a fast one on them (despite the bag blatantly dripping the spilt coffee on the floor) the restaurant manager stated he will take it back down and have our order remade. However, he stated it was going to take at least another 45 minutes.
At checkout they informed us that they would be waiving the $45.90 resort fee due to the inconvenience (but not the bill for our food). Unfortunately, after leaving and checking our credit card statement, we were still charged the $45.90 resort fee.
I have stayed in many hotels and have never had an experience like this. We came into this expecting a fun and romantic evening, with reasonable expectations of NoMo SoHo (ie, feeling secure in your room without strangers attempting to enter unannounced while you are sleeping and eating food without coffee spilled all over it), but this was apparently too high of a bar for them to meet. I cannot say I would return after this, especially due to the lack of empathy or concern the staff seemed to have when we brought up these issues during the stay. This is New York, there are plenty of hotels for the same, if not cheaper price, that I would recommend over this establishment. Look around and find somewhere else.

Due to covid, my husband and I decided to do a staycation and spent a night celebrating our wedding anniversary. Across our entire stay, we felt that service was subpar and were disappointed with our stay. Upon check in, we were told they were sending up a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary. We never received it. We never received any type of congratulations. The next morning we tried to order room service and for about 10 minutes of calling “room service” and “front desk”, we were not able to reach someone. Eventually, we reached someone but our breakfast sandwich and coffee took an hour to get delivered. I usually don’t mind paying for resort fees but I really felt like $46 per night was steep considering there are no amenities and subpar service. Since we were celebrating a special occasion, I debated quite a bit between different hotels and I really regret picking this one to spend our anniversary.

The location is ideal, the room is basic (nothing special), the room could have been cleaner, definitely quiet location, so you'll get a good nights sleep. Walking distance to many things (food, subway, shops). The on site restaurant is H O R R I B L E... just save yourself the trouble and upset stomach and don't eat there.
I might stay there again, just because the location is ideal, but the overall experience was MEH.
