I cannot imagine a more sophisticated, elegant boutique urban oasis. Set inside NUCs very busy and interesting SoHo neighborhood, the Crosby is an extremely special and surprisingly quiet place. Our room on the 7th floor was beautifully appointed with wonderfully unusual headboard and wall finishing. Our queen bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and functional and the water pressure in the very nice shower stall was very powerful (welcome change from most hotels).

The staff were all very friendly and professional. The bar and public areas were among the most eclectically charming I have ever seen. The bar was something not amazing - great food and a terrific selection of wines and mixed drinks.

We had dinner at the outside garden restaurant which is reserved for hotel guests. The menu had a smart variety of choices and the food and service were both excellent. There is a private sitting area for guests that we did not try but will on our next visit. When you step out the front door you are in the middle of everything in Soho.

Truly this is special place.

This is still my favorite hotel in NYC!! Why?
1) The whimsical interior style of the rooms, restaurant and lobby are so fun and will make you smile
2) The location is in the heart of SOHO and you are in walking distance of amazing shopping and restaurants.

While pricey, this hotel is special and always worth it! I will come back everytime!
The staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are large and luxurious with carpets, upholstered headboards and full shower, marble bathroom, closet and drawers.

The wait staff are amongst the best I have encountered. The food is fresh and no change or addition is denied. Best brunch in NYC. I have not stayed in the hotel but plan to soon. I highly recommend and will return often.

We came to the city to move our son into an apartment. This was our third time staying at the Crosby street hotel. We love fabulous hotels and this hotel has a lovely garden and small but pretty rooms. We booked a room that had amenities including upgrades. We typically use platinum am ex and have really enjoyed the perks with the am ex card. We realized that the Crosby didn’t accept am ex, but we thought given the amenities we booked that we were entitled to an upgrade. We checked in (had to bring in our own luggage because no one was around which was fine, but given the attitude of the hotel is kind of comical) and the man who checked us in, who was absolutely lovely by the way, said check back tomorrow. So tomorrow came and the person I spoke to was definitely and sort of ambiguously saying no upgrades were available. The grayness of it all led me to speak with the manager who was rude and told me that for 2,000$ additionally we could upgrade to a suite in such a snotty way. I think next time we will stay at the Bowery or even uptown at the Carlisle where we have been treated with such gracious manners. We thought we would try the Crosby again, but it was clearly a mistake. I know covid has been hard on hotels, but our experience has been that the best hotels have stepped up their game and have tried everything to make their guests happy. Unfortunately, this is clearly not the ethos of the Crosby street.

This is a truly great hotel. Take a breath and spring for the price, because it is totally worth it. The service was warm, professional but not pretentious. The design is so on point and the attention to detail is amazing. Great beds, great shower - even the linen fragrance spray makes you feel more relaxed. Friendly and well stocked bar, always willing to accommodate you. I’d move in permanently if I could afford it!

We arrived on a Wednesday. When i made the reservation, i had asked for a West facing room. I booked through Grand Luxury Hotel service. Part of being a member through them, you're guaranteed a room upgrade, which was available, breakfast for 2, and a bottle of champagne. After a 5-1/2 hr flight to NY, you'd think when you come thru the door, someone would have helped us with our luggage,,,nope. No welcome, when i walked up to the desk, just a "credit card and ID" I first asked if i could get a West facing room. It would have been on floors 8-11. On 4 floors, you couldn't find us a West facing room. Never saw anyone on our floor, until the weekend, except for the staff coming in and out of the service elevator. Housekeeping skipped us, so we had no water replenished, no towels 1 day. Just a lil disappointing after being out all day, and the room is not refreshed. I guess if you don't book thru them, you don't have the same service, and they stick you right next to the service elevator.

The hotel is eclectic, and it's on a great street, but for the price, we probably would not book there again.

What an amazing oasis of charm and class in NYC. I loved it from the moment I walked in. The fabric and decoration are superb and it really feels like home away from home. The room was so comfortable with an amazingly powerful shower and floor to ceiling windows with the sun streaming in. Staff were.very charming and helpful. The bar is great and the restaurant a great location for a fantastic breakfast and dinner. Balthazar is steps away as are the shops of Soho and the subway to get all over town so a great location. I will definitely return

Where to begin? This is a gem of a hotel in a fabulous location in SOHO. Bright, fresh and welcoming - as another reviewer stated it is « a feast for the eyes » with approchable and whimsical art to admire around every corner. Our room was gorgeous and very quiet for sleeping. Comfy bed, chic fun decor, phenomenal mini bar (try the animal crackers!) and some truly thoughtful details like a full length mirror, buttons on padded hangars for dresses etc, salon quality hairdryer, and a fantastic make-up mirror. I would go back for the crazy good water pressure alone.

The gym is small but has everything you need including Woodway treadmills that are a joy to run on ( and I usually say that I would rather poke needles in my eyes than run on a treadmill). However, there is an Orange Theory steps away on Crosby St and Soul cycle Noho is a 10 minute walk away if you need a couple of workout options.

The staff were outstanding, friendly and professional. Michael and Ruth in the bar and restaurant were standouts as well as Megan at the front desk. We received excellent restaurant recommendations from Thomas who could not have been more helpful and is a great ambassador for the hotel.

We can’t wait to go back!

What a joyful haven this is - a perfect location in Soho, with ultra-comfortable furnishings, floor to ceiling windows overlooking Crosby Street, and a shower with the best water pressure ever! The happy staff meets your every need... and then surprises you with a treat when you least expect it. The restaurant (the Crosby Bar) has a wonderful menu and great service at affordable prices. But, the most unique part of this hotel is that it is an art museum unto itself. The lobby, restaurant, elevators, courtyard and guest rooms are filled with Kit Kemp designed furnishings and art - even the dinnerware is art. The blasts of beautiful colors in every space surround you with joy. For a special trip to NYC, this is the place!

Third time at Crosby Street and really enjoy the hotel. Great staff, great breakfast, great location. Rooms are on the small side but as long as you are traveling without kids who spends any time at the hotel outside the bed anyway?

I asked for twins but they said they only do doubles. However, the double bed was larger than normal so it was ok.

Hi, lovely outdoor space that is well lite for the evening,at the back of the hotel, so off the street. Antique Garage, a five minute walk away, has a fab outdoor space with live music. Check it out to for even just a coffee. my favourite is late afternoon snack with a glass of bubbles. also just a few minutes away is NoMo Soho> this has quite a large outdoor patio. Younger crowd and sometimes a tad loud. I do however plan to stay there when I take my young adult kids to NY. hope this helps.

Some of the rooms have a sofa beds and if necessary they will swap out a sofa for a day bed. I have 3 kids so we book 2 rooms and they share one room together. If you can get the corner rooms they have a sofa bed. Just call them, they are very helpful with all kinds of request. It is the main reason why we stay there and we have stayed at most of the high-end hotels there over the course of 20 years.
