I stayed one night at the Delta Hotel for a quick visit to New York. I had a relatively pleasant stay. The rooms are spacious by New York standards and the staff was accommodating. Rooms are modern in design though tend toward generic. Beds are comfortable. The hotel has a decent restaurant on site where I had a good breakfast. Depending on your perspective, the location is either the best or the worst. It's on a busy block situated with many other hotels. Not really picturesque but especially convenient to the bus station. I'd return to the Delta in New York again for a future New York visit.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this hotel.. As a Canadian, I like this brand but I'm not sure this hotel is a good representation of it. I don't know what Marriott name I would give it but it probably wouldn't be a Delta.. Service was fine - the staff were friendly and polite. We checked in early and were offered to have our blocked room later or another one right away. I appreciated that. Any further interaction with staff was minimal. I'll give credit to the room size - it was large for New York (or maybe we just got lucky with a corner room). Two doubles and plenty of space - though the bathroom with the non-enclosed shower gave me serious dorm room vibes. Actually, I'm not sure when this hotel was built but I thought it was new-ish and it looks dated and tired in the hallways. Location wise, south Port Authority isn't glamorous but it's a great location for midtown. I don't get the creeps here like others but it is certainly something to be aware of. Lastly, the elite offerings.. Oof. There was a pantry in the basement with grab and go snacks and coffee except there was one major problem - it was never really stocked or monitored. We went in later in the evening to find it had been stocked but was fairly bare bones and what was in there was literally being stuffed into bags by other elite members - almost like grocery shopping. I would have loved some chips or a granola bar..I apparently just wasn't fast enough. This was by far the cheapest hotel for the area for the night and I guess I see why. I didn't hate it but I certainly didn't love it and I didn't feel compensated as an elite member.

STOLEN PROPERTY DO NOT BOOK HERE! I stayed at this hotel property December 11 and 12. When I returned home, I noticed my Chanel sunglasses were missing, as well as my Tiffany prescription eyeglasses. I contacted management who has refused to return my calls!!!

Avoid. At all costs. 1. The service is laughable. The front desk will argue with you, get confrontational and aggressively respond to simple requests. We valeted. They never locked the car. We called and asked to get it locked. We were met with policies and a bunch of excuses. For $70 a night, I expect a secured car so nothing went missing. They said well you can just file a police report. We went down to try and get more information and a resolution. And the entire staff got involved in a calm conversation - raising their voice, gesturing violence. They gave us the garage address and told us to go lock it ourselves. We waited hours to see if they would. They didn’t, we had to arm it because the valet team never locked it. They gave me a business card of someone who is no longer employed there after I asked for the GMs information. 2. Spoke to their ops manager, Paul. He said he’d take off the valet after I had to ask for some compensation because the entire situation was insane. I still paid for valet. I asked for a follow up phone call, and that never happened. I explained my dissatisfaction with how staff spoke to us. I was frustrated that no one apologized, had solutions or were willing to be hospitable. And still no apology from him. I explained hospitality to him— because I’ve worked in luxury resorts— and he said it was just 50/50. So this explains why his staff is unhinged and unprofessional. Like why work in a hotel if you have 0 interest in being kind? Even when I walked by witnessing them help others, there was never a smile from the staff. But staff will do what management allows. 3. The shower design is crazy. Water floods the bathroom. 4. Our room was dirty upon arrival so I just cleaned it myself. 5. Location is close but honestly there are so many hotels in Times Square that this one doesn’t even need to be considered. 6. Housekeeping staff is very kind. The only nice part of my trip was the interaction with them.

I stayed at this hotel twice and found it to be good value for money, close to Times Square, it has a good sized room, the coffee is satisfactory and it is close to the bus station too, to me it was a very good deal.

Great price for the location, clean and safe enough neighborhood. However, there are a few things you should know. As others have stated, sometimes the elevators take longer than normal and if in a high floor, you should bake in extra time. Also, you cannot get an Uber or Lyft to pick you up in front of the hotel so when leaving you can try your luck with a taxi or walk to the bus terminal. Not my favorite thing. The last one was the doozie for me. When I first checked in, the room they gave me was already occupied. Luckily, no one was there when I opened the door but the woman’s purse was right there. So, needless to say, I was terrified that would happen to me as well. I was there on business and therefore staying alone. So I would not recommend taking or leaving anything of value to this hotel.

Pleasantly surprised! Enjoyed our 3 night stay. Nice hotel, room large, comfortable king size bed. Staff was courteous. Restaurant in lobby is pretty but very limited menu. Great location near Times Square, easy walking distance. Would return.

in my reservation I had to pay $374 for two nights. the hotel tba time square first withdrew a $180.20 installment from me on august 7, 2023. then on august 28, 2023 at check-in another installment of $235.62 was withdrawn from my card, telling me that was the last installment of my reservation and that the excess price compared to the reservation was due to the deposit. however on September 1, 2023 I found another charge on my card for another $196.84. I ended up paying a total of $612.66 instead of $374. this is just insane. the property doesn't even reply to my messages.

The location was good for the places we wanted to visit but that was the only plus point. Reception staff were rude & unfriendly. Really couldn’t be bothered. We had to wait until 5 ish to have our room cleaned which ment we couldn’t get ready to go out in the evening as we had to wait downstairs. The house keeping manager was lovely and helpful. Lifts not good enough for the amount of people wanting to use them.

My husband and I stayed in one room, and my daughter stayed in another room for seven nights. The receptionist we interacted with was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The first morning, we had to wait for the elevator, and it took so much time. Then we made a strategy on how not to wait for an elevator for a long time, and it worked! ( don’t use an elevator on check-out time). The hotel room was not big but comfortable enough, and the breakfast had few options. However, the food is not bad. Perfect location, restaurants, bottleshop, empire state, times square, central park, all of these places are just a walk away.
