Join us for Joie de Vivre's New York debut, an all-new neighborhood gathering place in Chinatown. Our new boutique hotel is crowned with a rooftop terrace lounge overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Where diverse cultures have come together for centuries. A springboard to some of New York City's most vibrant neighborhoods, from here in the heart of Chinatown to the Lower East Side, Tribeca, Soho, Little Italy and Brooklyn. 50 Bowery is a boutique hotel that captures the energy of NYC, inspired by the cultural crossroads of our location on Manhattan's oldest street, where diverse cultures have come together for centuries. With this hotel's convenient location on Bowery near Canal Street and the Manhattan Bridge, getting anywhere in NYC will be a breeze. We celebrate the joy of life, where General Washington communed with his men at the Bull's Head Tavern, where actors once took the stage at the vibrant New York Theater, and where new Americans from Europe and Asia brought their optimism and ambition.

Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.

I took my 3 young daughters for a girls night last night. Once Maria at the front desk knew we were on a girls night she did everything to make our stay amazing! We walked into the room after lunch to find slime packs and cookies and lemonade. Everything was done with a smile and

I’m in the middle of an incredibly busy time, but I decided to take the wife on a vacation for some much needed “us” time away from our kids and my work. Hotel prices in New York in December are no joke and many of the spots we’ve stayed at in the past were just not competitively

We stopped at the Bowery for 4 nights from 30th November. From arriving to departure there is nothing we could fault with our stay. All staff were superb, from the bell boy grabbing our cases out of the taxi on arrival to the check in staff, all were superb, they are a young b

Upon booking I was hesitant about staying so far downtown since I normally stay in the Chelsea area, however, it was a great experience. We were able to spend time in a different part of the city which we enjoyed. The hotel was very nice. The room was a good size especially for N

The rooms in this hotel are great! They all have an amazing view of the skyline. The rooftop bar is fab as well, and quite hip. I used the very basic fitness centre which was quite busy at 7am already. 2 treadmills, 2 step machines a bike and some weights. The breakfast was at th

Hello what's the best way to get to this hotel from Newark airport?
There are two bus shuttle operators that run from Airport to all Hotels. It means sharing a small but ok van which sits about 16 people. They seem to wait till they have a full bus but wait time varies from 20 -40 minutes depending. We were the first ones off so worked for us and fine if you are not in a rush . Price was 22 US pp. Can buy tickets in advance or from ground transportation area .

Are there rooms separate for pets? I’m highly allergic to pets. Some hotels have only rooms or floors dedicated for pets only. Thanks in advance for any info.
Sorry - I didn't see any animals while staying there, not sure what their pet policy is I'm afraid. Best to contact the hotel directly.
