This was my first stay at The Colonnade Hotel and it was outstanding. The accommodations were perfect and the hotel staff was beyond courteous and helpful. I would like to specifically mention Deneke, who was helpful and thoughtful. Deneke saw me waiting in line at the Reception Area and asked if I needed any assistance. I shared that I was checking out and he saw I was attending the conference in the hotel and offered to keep my bag. What a relief! I appreciate Deneke being attentive and helpful. You don't find that kindness everywhere--but you will find it at the Colonnade!
The Colonnade's location can't be beat - steps away from the train station, The Prudential, restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. The rooms are comfortably appointed (though adjoining rooms can be noisy at times) and the staff are friendly. However, one of the gems of The Colonnade is Norman, their doorman for the last several years. I've been visiting regularly for the last decade and his recall of guests, over-the-top courteousness and level of attention and service are unparalleled. Norman has a strong sense of ownership. I look forward to seeing him every time I visit because I know he will appreciate my business, help with whatever is needed, and always greet everyone with enthusiasm and professionalism.
I’m amazed by the perfection in quality of room/location/staff. I choose the hotel from its location and you have other hotels like Hilton and others within the same price range. My recommendation for all of you is go for The colonnade for all above and I highlight Jordan Wimberly and his staff for my weekly stay and I hope to see you soon again!
I have stayed in Boston easily a dozen times over the past year. I have tried pretty much all of the Back Bay hotels and I keep coming back to the Colonnade. The reason is simple: excellent service. They always make you feel like they genuinely appreciate your business. At the helm is Jordan, the hotel manager, who has repeatedly gone above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Housekeeping is pleasant and does a great job. Even parking is easy here. The hotel has a classic charm about it. The rooms are spacious enough to be comfortable no matter what type of stay (though I often book adjoining rooms when we travel as a family). For this reason, they will continue to earn my business. In the summer, the rooftop bar and pool are great too! Their staff is friendly and their drinks are great.…
I am so pleased we chose the Hotel Colonnade for our most recent stay in Boston. When we pulled up, Norman was so kind and helpful with parking and logisitics. He is one of the reasons I loved staying there. He was thoughtful, professional, and greeted us every time we came and went and gave us great advice about navigating the city. The room was beautiful and having a table with 2 chairs made it possible for two of us to sit and get some work done when we were in the room. I hadn't realized how helpful it is to have space for both of us to work. All the staff - from the front desk to the cleaning staff were kind and helpful.
I met some friends recently in Boston for a couple of days of golf and some fun in the city. We stayed at the Colonnade Hotel and it was the highlight of our trip. They were so warm in welcoming us including a creative and personalized amenity that was unexpected but very much appreciated. The recent renovation to the hotel was special in every way. The lobby has been reimaged and beautifully appointed with cozy and modern appointments. My room was simply beautiful with modern amenities including eclectic shades that at the touch of a button opened up to offer beautiful views of the city. They anticipate your every need and their kind and caring team was there at every turn to make you feel special. The location of the hotel is second to none and we enjoyed all the surrounding shopping and restaurants although we also stayed home now and again enjoying their awesome new restaurant Lucie which was hip and fun and the food and service simply terrific. Boston is a special city and The Colonnade is the perfect hotel to settle in for some fun. I look forward to returning soon and to making it my number one choice when I visit the city. MJ…
Stayed at many hotels while visiting the city of Boston over the years. None have come close to the level of service and accommodations this gem has consistently offered. While on business or pleasure, as a Red Sox fan, there is no equal. The Colonnade was recently redone and is even better now. Comfort, quietness and the feeling of safety are paramount in my book and they manage as if they wrote it. Highly recommend and the only place in the city I will lay my head down.
First time back to Boston in a LONG time. Stayed at the Colonnade on a biz trip. The rooms are spacious and clean. Good lighting and work space. The shower was the star. I could have stayed in There all morning.
We landed in Boston and stayed at the colonnade overnight. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a lovely concierge called Norman. What a lovely, kind and gracious man. There is nothing that he wouldn't do for us. Our suitcases were delivered to our immaculate room. It was bright but cosy. The linens were beautiful, crisp, clean cotton. The next morning we had to go and pick up a hire car. Norman was our concierge again. He hailed us a cab and directed the driver where to take us and to treat us well. We returned to the colonnade again after our road trip for one night. Norman was again our concierge. Again, happy, cheerful and so very helpful. When the first employee that you meet treats you like you are someone special, that gives the hotel a very good first impression. The staff at check in were equally as helpful and engaging. The ladies restrooms are palatial. The common areas again, spot less. When we are in the great city of Boston again, we will definitely stay here.…
Lovely hotel, nice and clean, room wasn’t huge but big enough for what we needed, it had a big comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities and a nice clean bathroom. We had booked a room with a view and it didn’t disappoint. The hotel is very near restaurants and shopping malls and right outside is the entrance to the metro which we used constantly, perfect for getting round the city. Would I stay there again … yes
