I had the pleasure to stay at XV Beacon in early November 2022, in town for a public health conference. This boutique hotel is elegant and quiet, tucked on Beacon St away from the main hustle/bustle of the park but close enough to walk to the North end and all the historic sites. Just three blocks from the metro. There were only six rooms on my floor so it was very quiet. I loved having the fireplace in my room. Bed was comfortable, bathroom of marble. The antique elevators gave it a Parisian feel. They also offer very personable drivers to take you to museums or restaurants. Just exquisite service! This is an elegant place to stay and I highly recommend it. I will stay here every time I'm in Boston!
Full disclosure… we didn’t stay at this hotel. But I CAN tell you that Ivan at the front door is wonderful. I was curious about this historic hotel and Ivan not only told me so much about this impressive and beautiful property, but he seemed proud to do so. It made me walk out their door not only wanting to stay there the next time I’m in Boston, but his friendliness put a smile upon my face : )
Having lived on Beacon Hill for years and now returning as a visitor I always wanted to stay here. I was not disappointed. My short stay was perfect from beginning to end - and in spite of some major street work being done. The hotel reminds me of the best small hotels in London with gracious kind workers who actually listen to their guests. The decor is beige and black - the rooms substantial and the beds very comfortable. As a former Bostonian I don't think the location can be beat for walking in either direction to Newbury Street Shops (through the Common and Public Garden) or to the waterfront. Mooo - the on-site steak house made an excellent Ceasar salad with chicken and the service there was equally efficient. Like many (apparently), I will return to this hotel as my first choice.…
We absolutely loved XV Beacon. This luxury boutique hotel is on Beacon Hill and in the best possible location. The gold-domed Massachusetts State House is right next door. The Boston Commons and Boston Garden is right across the street and this is the beginning of the Freedom Trail. (So many cool historic sites.) We walked everywhere - to the North End (a fantastic Italian neighborhood with tons of great restaurants) to Back Bay (trendy restaurants and great shopping) to the Boston Public Library, to the Charles River, and to Fenway. We loved Boston and it’s a great place to end your New England leaf-peeping trip. (Aim for the second week in October and book your hotels and restaurants early.) They also have a great subway and you can always get an Uber in just a few minutes. The concierges were outstanding and we Mark, the Lexus courtesy Car Chauffeur is a wealth of information. We stayed in room 602 and the views down Beacon were lovely. Our room was fantastic, loved the fireplace and the bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get out of it! Posh and perfect for an anniversary celebration. The Room service breakfast was excellent. Website photos are 100% accurate.…
Again, we are back. Again, we were glad we chose XV Beacon. Again, XV did not disappoint. Our 20th anniversary and we are back for an overnight get away. Everything was great. We have been coming to this hotel since 2013, celebrating our anniversary milestones, 5, 10, 15, and now 20, and everything in between. We were here for New Years as well. Love this special place, it’s home away from home. Thanks Mark for taking us to our dinner reservation and picking us back up again. We appreciate seeing you every time we are back.
This hotel is the BEST. Room was great. Definitely an "old school" experience. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone from the front desk, doormen, town car drivers, concierge and housekeeping had the best attitude and really tried to accommodate our every possible need. The "car service" is a wonderful added benefit to provide rides around town to "in town" sites, restaurants, etc. They even arranged for us to have complimentary use of a Lexus 500 car for the day so we could go explore the mansions in Newport Rhode Island. I would highly recommend that you look no further than the XV Beacon for any trip you may have to Boston. I only have one recommendation. The hotel should provide complimentary coffee in the lobby during the morning hours.
As a hotelier and consultant for five star hotels and resorts all I can say.....expectations exceeded! Great job from arrival to departure. Will be our home away from home every time we fly into Boston with all the luxuries and pampering you could every wish for!
If you're in Boston and are looking for impeccable service, comfort and convenience this is THE place to stay!. We absolutely loved our stay at the Beacon. The moment we drove up, we were greeted by professional and helpful staff. From the valet to doormen, front desk and especially the noteworthy concierge, David. He happily helped us with dinner recommendations and reservations both nights of our stay. He also guided us on how to best see the city and with transportation. The hotel offers complimentary car service if your destination is within 2 miles, which was extremely helpful. The location is prime and within walking distance of Freedom trail, trolley tours, restaurants and landmarks. The room was STUNNING and beyond comfortable. The bedding was cozy and the bathroom lovely, with marble shower and notable fixtures from Leroy Brooks. Amenities in the room included mini bar, stereo system, fireplace and of course T.V. We also enjoyed room service one morning which came complete with white table cloth and cloches. I've stayed in a number of hotels on the East Coast over the past 2 years and have to say this was my FAVORITE. The service, class and amenities should be the standard for all else to go by! It will be my go to destination anytime I am in Boston! …
Exceptional. Don't look any further when considering which hotel to stay in when in Boston. We looked at so many options, read all the reviews and I feel like that we chose the XV Beacon. Perfect and beautiful location. Beacon is a great, central and walkable neighborhood. The room- I wanted to move in and live there. The bathroom was so wonderful that I took a shower every chance I got. The bed, linens and pillow, oh my. Slept like a baby. High ceilings, every amenity and detail, perfectly attended to. They even placed a pillow topper on our mattress when we asked. The staff was wonderful- We really enjoyed and appreciated the service from all the front desk staff. David, the concierge for all his help with reservations. Frank and his kindness. Mark, the house driver was exceptional. Took us to dinners and picked us up with all the information we could ask for in the city. They all made us feel at home. I truly didnt want to leave. I cant wait to stay there again in the future. The hotel has an in house car service to drive you 2 miles around the hotel, a rooftop deck to catch incredible sunsets, a gym and every comfort you would want in a room. I highly recommend the hotel.…
Had a wonderful long stay at XV Beacon! The room is extremely clean, the location of the hotel is unbeatable! Easy access to everything around. The amenities are well branded and the staff is highly professional.
