Tripadvisor gives a Travellers’ Choice award to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor.
With an unbeatable location in the heart of Boston, America's most walkable city, Oasis Guest House offers a great value in a historic neighborhood. We offer several types of rooms to accommodate travelers needs and budgets. Take a stroll to nearby shops or restaurants, or ride the subway to historic sites throughout the city. We offer very comfortable rooms, a free daily continental breakfast, free satellite TV, free Wi-Fi throughout our properties, outdoor lounge space, central air conditioning, affordable parking, and complimentary use of a guest computer. We are a short walk from the shops on Newbury Street, Fenway Park, the Hynes Convention Center, Prudential Center, the Public Garden, and Boston Common.
Oasis Guest House is true to its name; a quiet respite in the midst of a bustling, vibrant city. The staff are warm and welcoming and attentive both to their guests and to details that enhance the operation of the facility. Reservations were simple online. Communication was prompt and direct – a welcome email with guest house information and an on-line registration link, allowing for swift check in upon arrival. Due to my schedule, I had the opportunity to stay in two different rooms, and both were immaculate and comfortable. Accommodations are simple, but functional. A light breakfast is available -- fresh-cut fruit, assorted breads and pastries, cereals, yogurt – a good start to the day! The website accurately reflects the nature and condition of the guest house. The neighborhood is quiet and feels safe. A block off Mass Ave, two blocks from eateries on Boylston, three blocks from Hynes Convention Center and the T, within a 20-minute walk to the Museum of Fine Arts and Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum along the Fenway, the location is ideal. As an older woman, travelling alone, I felt safe and comfortable. Clean, peaceful, convenient, and served by a lovely staff. I highly recommend Oasis Guest House. …

This place is a gem! From the warm, welcoming greeting to the continental breakfasts, to the spotless bedroom and, although shared, the freshest bathroom ... couldn't have had a better experience. Its location is convenient for shopping and a short distance to city transportation. A friendly, positive staff was ready with recommendations for food and entertainment.

This clean, well-maintained B&B is run independently, like a family business. They’re keen for you to know it’s not a hotel, and, archetypally, they have a fair number of rules, mainly to protect their property (e.g. from hair dye and strong scent) and the peace of the other residents. The location is superb: MFA and the Public Garden are within a walk, Harvard too if you’re fit, and a good choice of restaurants and bars is close by. Rooms are kept at 70F, which is warm enough; the bed was comfortable, and the street outside was quiet. They are serviced on alternate days. My double was on the small side, but this is midtown Boston. My en suite bathroom (with bath/shower) was big enough. The main downside for me was the absence of coffee/tea making in the room: there is a communal kitchenette, but you’re not allowed to use it overnight because there’s a guest room next to it - problematic for early risers who need a hot drink to wake up. It has a microwave, “boiling” water on tap, and a fridge, and this is where the simple breakfast is laid out. The welcome is friendly, and you won’t find a standard hotel this comfortable for this price at this location. I would certainly stay there again - with a vacuum flask.…

Thank you for sharing your rating and feedback, we're very happy that you had a good stay with us! Most guests agree with you, the location is absolutely ideal, near to many area sites and attractions, public transportation, etc. Yes, we have a few rules in place - hair dye, as you mentioned, is one, because it takes a very long time to clean the stains from showers, sinks and tile/grout, not to mention the towels and linens that get ruined - and thus it's not allowed. As for coffee/tea makers in the rooms, we have considered them, as well as refrigerators, but we have deiced not to. It's not worth the investment in additional circuitry, the added cleaning, etc. There are many area properties that offer those amenities, and we do our best to let guests know in advance what we offer, and what we don't. We're finding that our advance communications are working very well, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Thanks again, we hope to see you in the future!

This was my second stay and it was just as great as the first! Super convenient location in a quiet neighborhood. Quick walk to the T, and just around the corner from many conveniences. Hosts were super friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was just what we needed, comfortable bed, good temperature and super clean. Breakfast was perfect selection of fresh fruit, breads, pastries , yogurt etc. Highly recommended Oasis Guest House!

Really enjoyed the convenient location and cleanliness of the facility. I like having the option of paying for a private bath or sharing one in the hall. We were lucky to be upgraded as a couple to a room w/ private bath . The bed was comfy and the staff very helpful. The cost was half of what most hotels in Beantown charge. The building is older and nicely restored, but still a bit creaky. Breakfast was simple but adequate, not industrial like the cheap motels. There is not any real dining area, so we took trays up to our room.

Great little place at which to stay during a trip to Boston! Located about a half-mile from Fenway Park, on a quaint residential street near Berklee College of Music, so there are lots of college kids milling about and places to eat nearby (yet it’s not too loud). Pretty close to a “T” stop as well. Only for the able-bodied—there are a series of curving stairs to navigate to get to the rooms, and no elevator. Nice continental breakfast, but just a small sitting room (this whole place is a little tight on space) so we brought ours to the room on a tray. Would definitely stay again!

Many thanks for your wonderful rating and candid feedback Christine, you described us exactly as we are...a small, friendly, accommodating BnB on a residential street in a great neighborhood. And yes, our rooms are a bit smaller and space is tighter. That's the nature of our properties, and for a segment of travelers such as yourself, we're the right fit! Thanks again, we hope to see you again in the future!

We were heading to a concert in Fenway & just needed somewhere close by. This fit the bill nicely. Room was clean & the bed was comfy. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Staff were friendly and the check in / check in process was smooth. We didn't try the breakfast as we were heading to the North End to eat. Really the only demerit was the email we received from the manager the next day. Apparently there had been a lamp stolen from the property so he sent out a totally unprofessional email with expletives in it to everyone who had stayed there the night before.

Thank you for sharing your rating and feedback, we're very happy that your stay with us was enjoyable. We're sorry if you found our email about the stolen property (one piece was valuable and a gift, and the other belonged to me). We have little patience and zero respect for thieves. Thanks again.

Absolutely perfect for a one night stay for the Sox game. The man at the front desk (I believe he's the owner but not 100% sure) was so friendly and helpful! The location was perfect, super easy walk to Fenway, and the room was clean and quiet. On the small side so maybe not ideal for a long stay but just perfect for a night or 2.
