Loved this hotel and we will be back. The staff was fantastic and attentive and remembered our names. The food was good. The location is perfect and the rooms have beautiful views. Dave, the driver is awesome and gave us great info. Looking forward to staying here again.
We stayed for 2 nights in a harbor view room - it was exceptional. From the moment of check in and throughout our stay - every person who works at the hotel gave above and beyond service. We were late in the game in securing dinner reservations for a Saturday nights in the North End - no problem - Nathan at the concierge desk made recommendations and then followed up with saying "we'll get you in" and they did. Maps and directions to the best donut place around (Kanes) were given with a smile. Get a harbor view room. The window in the room is almost floor to ceiling and there are 2 small windows that open up for fresh air and and the sound of seagulls - almost sounds like you are at the beach. The view of the harbor activity is mesmerizing as well as catching a glimpse of the occasional plane taking off in the distance. Lots of attention paid to detail in the room. I left my reading glasses on the nightstand and housekeeping left me a cleaning cloth with the hotel logo on it - a nice souvenir. A sturdy rubber cord organizer was left with our charging cords. Small items that show the hotel is paying attention. Awesome Diptyque bath products from Paris. The room had a Nespresso maker. Turndown service was back in play with slippers left bedside. The room had an Ipad loaded with magazines and newspapers along with dining suggestions and other hotel info. There is a lap pool and a good sized fitness center with plenty of equipment. We did not get a chance to dine but the harborside restaurant was busy. The bar which just reopened looked like a good place to have a drink especially as the temps get cooler. The hotel was spotless in all the public spaces. Be sure and check out the map collection with beautifully framed maps dating back to the 1700s. There were Adirondack chairs placed on the dock for outside seating. The hotel is in walking distance to the North End, Freedom Trail and Fanueil Hall - great location for walkers as the hotel sits between the Harborwalk and the Greenway walking path. I think this is my new favorite hotel in Boston!…
Super dated and not worth the price. Location is not the best either. Paid more than $800 for a suite for one night. Which I wouldn’t mind if it was nice but the furniture was old and stained. The location is not that great and the view was mediocre for Boston Harbor
Stayed at this wonderful Hotel for four fabulous nights. I can’t rate it highly enough. The room was beautiful, with great views of the water. Good food especially breakfast. Recommend the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. I sincerely hope to return one day soon. Keep up the excellent service.
I had to travel to Boston on business this past week and decided to stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel again as my wife and I had such a great stay in November of last year. Well, they did it again! They gave me a room on the 10th floor that had an amazing view of the Boston Bay. My wife was jealous when I showed a picture from the room. The staff at the hotel are awesome. Younes and Saad in Room Service were fantastic...so nice. And Abraham behind the bar at the Sea Grille was so nice. And, Mary Ellen at Rowes Wharf bar is simply the nicest person around. I would highly recommend this property to anybody looking at staying at a luxury property in Boston!
Rarely found, a large corporate looking hotel but with service that is small and personal. Everyone makes you feel special and at home. Staff hugely helpful and friendly without being over familiar. Book room overlooking harbour - worth it. Huge well equipped rooms. Bar is convenient and cosy but on the tiny side. Excellent snacks and good cocktails generously poured. Free tea and coffee in the breakfast lobby in morning
I have stayed at the Boston Harbor Hotel for work probably 5 times. It always delivers. It is safe (travelling as a single woman), consistently clean and beautiful, amazing service, and phenomenal. Views of the city or harbor are equally awesome. Have also visited the spa - serene and an escape. You won't regret your time spent in this iconic hotel.
The great location was made better by our room on the 15th floor. Stunning view of the harbor, Logan Airport and water front where Anthony’s Pier Four used to be. Our room was a mini suite with sitting area and business desk. The hotel found out it was our anniversary and sent up a bottle of excellent Champaign and coc covered strawberries. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and one dinner at their restaurant and all were excellent. The only slight downside was there are many business travelers meeting with clients that it got a little noisy. A caution about walking, the city seems to be under construction and the sidewalks were a mess. A walk to our dinner at Legal Harborside should have taken 15 minutes, but with the detour took 30 sweaty minutes. This is in the location of Jimmys Harborside, back in the day. We took a bus tour, but that was a bit of mistake. The traffic was horrible and there were so many detours that we missed 6 stops. The hotel is a short block from the Aquarium, having been there many times before we skipped it. If you wanted a boat tour, there were many options behind the hotel. …
We arrived late but I confirmed in advance that limited dining would be available when we arrived. That was not the case. Shortly after we arrived we were told it was "last call". We ordered a glass of wine and within minutes were told by the manager that we needed to leave in 2 minutes. When we mentioned that we had just responded to the last call and had just been served our wine, he said too bad and most places would simply collect our drinks. Unbelievable.
Clean, comfortable hotel located on the harbor. Great location for exploring much that Boston has to offer. Great staff. Somewhat disappointed with hotel dining; limited options for dinner and breakfast was pricey.
