When checking in I was greeted with a smile by valet and Nisha Oli was helpful and did a great job making me feel welcome and at home , the room was lovely had everything I wanted while staying and I feel refreshed for my continuing travel home today ! I would stay here again great staff and lovely hotel , and location . Sincerely Patricia
I would not stay here again, it’s more like a motel but is advertised as a hotel. The AC wasn’t working so the room was so hot I couldn’t sleep. It was mentioned if I went through my third party booker id get some money refunded since the stay was so bad and now they’re saying no- stay anywhere else. spent the second night sleeping on a friends floor and would say it was the same
The worst “hotel” I’ve ever stayed in. It was sooo dirty, run down room. We stayed one of the four nights we paid for and never looked back. We booked a new hotel within minutes but unfortunately had to wait till morning to leave. It is more like an outdated, run down motel. I am so surprised that the city and department of health didn’t close them down long ago. Don’t waste your money.
So, we arrived and the Hotel at night and they said they were fully booked and had no rooms available even though we had our prepaid reservation (with Agoda) for 7 nights since 3 months before. After a while Teresa de employee who was there; did everything and beyond to help us (she was truly amazing). She managed to put us in one room, however since the hotel was fully booked that night, the system would not allow her to assign us a room for our 7 nights. Therefore, she asked us to come to the front desk in the morning and that the desk employee would help us to arrange the situation as many rooms were checking out the next morning. So, we did; next morning we went to the lobby and since the beginning the experience was terrible (Keith) I think he was called that way (the manager in turn) after explaining him the situation did not stop yelling, cursing Teresa (calling her “IDIOTA”, in Spanish in a derogative way) (I don't know if it was that way because Teresa is Latin or because I am Latin). Saying that what she did was not allowed and that we could not get a room assigned for the next 6 days. Any way I asked this person that I did not know whose fault was it, but that I needed the situation to get fixed since I had already booked and paid for the hotel a couple months ago. Long story short this person (Keith) had no intentions on helping. He said they had no rooms available (even though the hotels webpage said they did). When together we called Agoda to look for a solution. He said he did see the reservation in Agoda's system, but something had happened in their internal system and that they could not accommodate us. (Instead of asking Agoda to resend the reservation or look for a solution). His negative way and zero intention on helping were so big that at some point Agoda told him that if they did not receive us the hotel was going to get a fine from Agoda. Still, he did not care (it is too bad he does not pay directly for those fines). At some point during the call of Agoda he mentioned another coworker that they did have some rooms available. At that point I told the Agoda agent they did have rooms and KEITH started yelling at me. (Kindly) I asked him not to be rude and he even started yelling more. (At this point I started recording what was happening since I could not believe it. (I regret not recording before). Since I needed the situation to get fixed even, I apologized to him since he was really mad and thought that if he saw me cooperating, he would too. As expected, he did not want to help us. We asked Agoda for a rebooking in another hotel (at that point he even suggested us to ask from Agoda a refund and offered us to stay directly with them) (this means get Agoda's money back and directly pay to the hotel for our 6 nights left.) IT IS A PITTY THERE WAS NO ONE LIKE TERESA IN THE FRONT DESK IN THE MORNING. IM SURE THE SITUATION WOULD HAVE BEEN SOLVED IN A PROPER WAY AND IF NOT, AT LEAST SOMEONE WOULD HAVE TRIED TO SOLVE IT. As you can see this was a terrible experience and I DO NOT RECOMEND THE HOTEL AT ALL…
Location is good. 2 blocks from the Green Line Train/University of Boston/Boston College. Internet was good. Building is well lighten at night. Near Whole Foods Grocery Store and excellent restaurants and pharmacy. Neighborhood seemed safe. 2 levels/stories old motel. NO elevator. Not sure if rooms are handicapped accessible. Water barely came out of shower. No breakfast but had coffee in lobby. No coffee maker in room. No smoke alarm in room. Electric cord for microwave in room did not reach electrical outlet. Refrigerator was clean. Bath towels had large holes. Telephone in room did not work. Not sure if lobby had computer or printer. No ice in the lobby. Saw rats outside in the evening. We had to pay $25.00 a night to park our car. AC did work but a strong musty smell. This place has had terrible reviews since 2013. Not sure why this place is still open except that the location is great.…
This hotel advertised free breakfast and coffee maker in room... neither were available. We had to ask for clean towels, because housekeeping never serviced the room. Room was dirty. Tissue box fell off the wall when trying to get tissues out. Several plugs in room were not functioning and light bulb was out in bed lamp . Poor customer service as well.
Though the customer service at the front desk was great, other things weren’t. When we arrived in our room, we immediately noticed gross stains on the lamp shades and walls. We had a lunchbox with a few snacks for our toddler and when we woke up found chewed holes from mice in the lunch box and multiple bags of food. The bathtub would fill during a shower and took about 20-30 minutes to empty afterwards. Half of the outlets in the room didn’t work. And Convenient for out of staters the breakfast area was closed. My fiancé and I agreed that it’s not worth saving money and from now on we are sticking with Marriott or Hilton!
Granted it's on me not researching better, this one time, due to a college deadline. The Pro's- A comfortable king size bed and clean linen. A small fridge and a good size closet with ironing board- iron. The Con's- The tub was dirty, the sink was almost clogged. The window shades in the bathroom were old, dirty and broken. The musty smell of of the room permeated all my clothing. The thermostat can't be controlled- it's sealed. No elevator and no breakfast. The lobby it's dark and rundown. Walls are paper thin, lucked out there were not many people staying at this place. Early in the morning, I heard the very loud phone conversation of the next door guest.
I chose this hotel because it is conveniently located between BC and BU. I was visiting with my daughter to tour colleges. We were concerned when we arrived about how empty it seemed. Around 9:30 at night while my daughter and I were lying in our beds watching TV a man literally pushed through our locked door! I thought it was someone trying to get into the room next door but when I heard banging that seemed to be right at our door, I got up to find the door opening into our room and a man starting to step into the room 😱 When I yelled, the man backed out. I had locked the door from the inside and put the chain slide on which he broke and was lying on the ground. We immediately packed and left. Receptionist said it was the maintenance man. What was the maintenance man doing breaking into a room unannounced at 9:30 on a Sunday night!! He didn’t knock, announce himself or anything and when the door didn’t open he had to use force. WTF!!…
Ac don’t work 81 in room. Didn’t have hot water one night. And dirty. Only one towel in room, no wash clothes. No fan for the hot room. Have the door wide open for ac. Airbnb false Advertising. Do not recommend.
