Nestled on the waterfront, Boston Yacht Haven Inn & Marina garners praise for its excellent amenities and location. Travelers appreciate the complimentary treats and the charm of breakfast delivered to their rooms. While the rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and stunning views, there have been isolated comments about water temperature inconsistencies and slightly outdated decor.
The hotel's cleanliness generally earns high marks, though a few guests have mentioned bathroom maintenance issues. The personalized service and serene atmosphere contribute to its reputation as a welcoming retreat with exceptional value.

Detailed Reviews
My wife did not want me to write this review for fear "everyone will want to stay here and we will never get a room again!". Well, sorry, too good not to share. This inn/bed and breakfast is perfectly situated on Boston Harbor near the Marriott Long Wharf on Commercial Wharf. We scored the "penthouse" for what I would consider a reasonable price for what we got. Our room was well appointed, clean and beautiful. But the drop dead gorgeous feature was the wrap around deck that had virtually 360 degree views of Boston Harbor and the city. The views were incredible both during the day and night. We had breakfast outside and felt like the rich and famous whose yachts were docked at the marina run by the inn. We are talking serious yachts. The people are incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple but delivered to the room at your specified time. They take COVID seriously here and we felt completely safe. You can walk to the North End in 1 minute, the Greenway, Faneiul Hall, downtown and more in an easy walk. We are excited to have found our new "go to" place to stay in Boston!

Not many lodging options offer the experience of this very special inn. The location is perfect if you want a quiet retreat that’s just feet away from all the city’s attractions. The property is truly 5-star; great views of the marina/harbor, extremely comfortable and clean rooms with every amenity, a delicious breakfast every morning delivered to your door, and a warm and attentive staff. It was like a home away from home. We were fortunate to secure parking at the inn, which is first come first serve, but wouldn’t be an issue with other parking close by. Definitely one of finest stays anywhere, and consider yourself fortunate for finding this hidden gem.

Last week (June 2021) my wife and I spent three nights at the Boston Yacht Haven Inn and two nights at the 5-Star Boston Harbor Hotel.. Our stay at the Boston Yacht
Haven Inn was more intimate, more enjoyable and priced very reasonably.
We had a spacious, recently renovated room, with a large bathroom, equipped with a dual (rain/handheld) shower and a deep free-standing bath tub.. We highly recommend room (203) with its large private outdoor deck/balcony to enjoy the harbor views, outdoor breakfast, and sunbathing..
The Inn is centrally located. The Seaport, Downtown, Historic Freedom Trail, and the North End with its Italian restaurants and cafés, are just a short walk away.. It’s a family owned and operated Inn with only 10 rooms.. The staff (Nancy, Mike, Wesley) make you feel at home.. They go the extra mile to make sure your stay is most enjoyable.. Mike provided sightseeing tips, and recommendations regarding North End Restaurants and Pastry Shops.. Nancy reserved a handicap parking spot for us, even though we were a late arrival.. We reserved our room with little advanced notice and Jack the General Manager worked closely with us during the reservation process to secure a room that met our needs, for the days we desired..
When we return to Boston this we will be the place where we will stay

I made a booking with Boston Yacht Haven Inn & Marina on 1 April through the inn’s website. The promotional rate was for a specific room, and the completed booking was for one night in August 2021. The next day I received a call and email from the inn’s general manager. The email stated the rate I booked through the hotel website was an error, and I could either pay the hotel 5 times the rate I booked, or they would cancel my reservation. I replied saying that I regretted their booking system had an error, but I would like to keep the booking I paid for at the rate that was agreed to when I booked it. The Yacht Haven Inn’s general manager replied back and reiterated that I could give them 5 times the rate (implying that I should be grateful for even that deal), or he would cancel my hotel reservation if I hadn’t paid the additional amount within 24 hours.
Needless to say the experience felt like a hustle, and it is not one that I would wish on any guest or customer. Boston has a lot of options for hotels, and I recommend choosing one of the many others the city has to offer.

From the first moment we arrived at the Yacht Haven Inn, we knew we found a true gem to stay while visiting Boston for 4 nights! From the stunning views of the harbour, the incredibly comfortable and spotless room and for all the special touches, that made our stay so memorable. There was a bottle of wine and biscotti cookies in our room when we arrived and chocolates left every night on our night stand. A tray of cookies were left on a table in the hallway for all to enjoy! All the special touches that makes a stay so wonderful. Breakfast was ordered on a card that you leave outside your door the big before and delivered precisely at the time you selected. Always fresh and delicious!
We were always greeted by smiling faces by either Mike or Nancy. They were incredibly helpful in making suggestions for restaurants and our daily activities! All their suggestions helped to make our stay in Boston so perfect!
We look forward to a return stay at The Yacht Haven Inn!

My daughter and I just spent 3 wonderful days at Boston Yacht Haven Inn. This has by far been the nicest of all the places we have stayed in Boston (and we have stayed at many of the top hotels in the city)!
Let’s start with the welcome…we were greeted warmly by Joe who checked us in early and brought our bags up to our room for us. Joe continued to be a great help with fabulous dining suggestions and always happy to answer any questions. The little touches throughout the inn were numerous. From the coffee and fresh lemonade in the Captain’s Lounge, the fresh baked cookies left out each evening, chocolates left in the room each day, and more. The complimentary bottle of wine in the room was so very nice, and a great complimentary breakfast delivery each day. These are just some of the things that make this inn stand out.
The room itself was gorgeous and impeccably clean. The deck overlooking the harbor was huge and wonderful for watching the sunrise and sunset each day.
The location couldn’t be beat either…steps from the North End and Faneuil Hall. I highly recommend making the Boston Yacht Haven Inn your next Boston stay!

The room was exceptional, as was the bed. Joe (reception) was particularly friendly and helpful. The views over the water from the lounge and room were wonderful. The hotel was within walking distance of many of the must see locations. We only once had to use Uber to get back. We were pleasantly surprised to have a complementary bottle of (good) Italian wine in our room along with bottles of water and plenty of capsules for the Keurig coffee maker. The rooms were obviously well insulated, as we heard almost nothing from the other guests, although the hotel was completely full.

We arrived late after Reception had closed but getting our room key was pre-arranged, easy and no problem. The Captains Lounge with it's views, free hot drinks, comfy sofa's and pool table was a great place to rest after a days sight seeing and walking.
Our room overlooked the harbour with lovely views and we ate breakfast on our balcony (just warm enough in April!) . The breakfast was of good quality but loses a little when its understandably wrapped in cling film. It would be nice if there was a place to top up orange juice etc.
The room was clean and well maintained, lovely lighting, exposed timber beams and big windows. Just short of a USB outlet near the bedside tables and a couple of glass tumblers in the bathroom. Our in room coffee machine only seemed to have decaf too!
Staff were keen to make sure everything was ok for us, (thanks Mike).
$25 taxi ride to airport, 10 minutes to the Freedom Trail.
Would definitely stay again!

Top Luxury with a view ! Don’t spend your money on the typical high end hotels when this quaint inn has the real personal touch with no hustle of people and traffic noise. Truly welcoming and relaxing . This boutique inn has a beautiful harbor view, less than a block to the BEST clam chowder in a small locally owned cafe, a block or two to Christopher Columbus Park, Quincey Market and easy walk to Subway Connections, Government Centers, Shopping and Fine Dining. We will definitely stay again and again ! Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Boston Yacht Haven is in a beautiful location (see pics), and run by a really welcoming team. The room was spacious, smartly decorated, and there are lots of nice amenities in the room and around the hotel. It is a comparable price to some of the more up-market chain hotels, but we felt that it was much better value for money due to the location and friendliness. The breakfast was also of a very high quality. We look forward to coming back!

Hello! Parking is very limited here on Commercial Wharf. Passes are on a first-come, first-serve basis, not reserved in advance. If one is available upon arrival, a pass on this wharf is $45/night. If they are all in use, you will be allowed to pick up/drop off, check in, and can move your vehicle to the 24-hour public parking lots/garages on Commercial Street, the closest being Lewis Wharf, right next to our wharf, less than 5-minute walk away. Thank you!
