Raffles Boston hotel garners accolades for its immaculate rooms and pristine facilities, with guests frequently noting the hotel's commitment to cleanliness. While the luxurious amenities and elegant design contribute to a sophisticated atmosphere, some visitors highlight that certain amenities, like the spa, are yet to be completed. Opinions on service vary, with reports of exceptional care contrasting with accounts of sluggish service. Room comfort and aesthetics receive praise, though functionality and size have drawn criticism. Additionally, the value proposition is contentious, as some guests deem it overpriced.

My stay at the Raffles Boston was nothing short of fantastic. When we arrived to the beautiful new building, our bags were taken from our car, and we were escorted through the first floor lobby, up to the sky lobby. Check in at the Writer’s Bar was pleasant and a nice welcome to the building.

Our personal butler then were showed up to our room where our bags were waiting for us. The room was very spacious and felt like an apartment. The butler showed us all the design details and functionality of the room. The bathroom had to be one of the bigger, more luxurious bathrooms I have experienced in an urban hotel. It featured a large rain shower, two sinks, and great Guerlain products. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Our favorite feature of the room was the beautiful glass mini bar filled with Raffles signature drinks and plenty of snacks.

All of the public spaces make this hotel feel like a resort, more than an urban hotel. The gym was very substantial for a hotel gym, with Technogym equipment and Peloton bikes. The lap pool and day beds were great for relaxation.

Lastly, all of our experiences in the numerous bars and restaurants was enjoyable. Breakfast at the Long Bar was delicious, and the room is stunning with views of all of Boston. The atmosphere was lively at night at Long Bar, and even more lively at the Blink Duck. Was really quite a scene, and the drinks were amazing at both outlets.

Overall, Raffles Boston has to be one of the best urban hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend!

I’m an Accor Diamond member (their highest loyalty status) and I’ve stayed at Raffles properties around the world. When I heard Raffles Boston was opening up (first Raffles in North America), I jumped at the chance to stay here. I booked my stay on the first day the hotel opened (I think the staff told me I was the third person to check in). I ended up having a fabulous stay, made a lot of great memories and met a lot of awesome people along the way.

My first impressions of Raffles Boston were that it’s modern with a bit of classical touch thrown in. This is similar to the other Raffles I’ve stayed in in other parts of the world (lots of marble floors, Greek columns, large windows). The location was convenient, it’s located right in the heart of downtown with lots of shops and restaurants close by. As soon I got out of my Uber, I was greeted by friendly faces and big smiles. I really felt right at home throughout my stay.

A couple of things, the hotel seems to still be under construction. Once the construction is complete, Raffles is going to be “the” place to stay in Boston. The elevator is missing directory buttons, the spa and pool areas aren’t ready and one of the restaurants in the hotel still hasn’t opened up. They also seemed to be shorthanded and some of the service experiences I had were sometimes lacking. I’m chalking this up to the fact that the hotel just opened up and they are still working out the kinks. Overall, I had a great time. I definitely recommend that anyone visiting Boston stay at Raffles if the opportunity arises and if you are able to do so.

Decided to stay at Raffles for my first ever trip to Boston after a great experience in their Singapore hotel. The hotel is located literally around the corder to the Back Bay train station so get off at that stop if you are travelling on the Amtrak like I did as opposed to the Boston south or north stations. Staff were incredibly attentive, nothing was too much trouble and the check in experience was a smooth as you are sat in a lounge and checked in over a coffee / tea as you bags are taken to your room. The room I stayed in was on the 12th floor and was very spacious and had fantastic views. Plenty of sockets by the bed (both USB and plugs) and main control for light and blinds. An extensive mini bar if you wanted and my butler made me up their signature cocktail as they showed me the amenities in the room. Bathroom was huge with a double sink and stand alone bath with a large walk in shower (powerful). Once checked in your butler will ask to add you to their WhatsApp group for any questions - most helpful this day and age rather than calling several teams you can ask any questions and they connect you to either housekeeping / concierge etc - I used this feature a lot, to let them know when to make my room do asking for directions / sight suggestions and restaurant bookings. Beyond breakfast (which had a large range of cold and hot food on the menu) I did not eat at the hotel but did attend the speak easy bar on both nights where a special mention to Marion the bartender who went above and beyond to make sure I had a great night (thank you). That said all the staff were very attentive and helpful during my stay. Lastly the gym was an amazing experience, absolutely huge and every machine you could ask for, including plenty of free weights and machine weights, runners, bikes, rows, Peloton etc. Did not use the pool unfortunately but did use the steam and saunas in the changing rooms - awesome after a days walking. Traveller trip (as I found out the hard way) hard to get a taxi in Boston, use Uber, additionally most taxis (non uber) will only want to take cash. Look forward to coming back to Raffles soon.

Had been to Raffles in Istanbul and Dubai and had high hopes but this was a letdown for many reasons. To begin- it was not possible to book a room for 3 people through the Accor App- had to call Accor directly. Upon check in no offer of upgrade even though Gold Accor (unlike Istanbul or Dubai.). Once in the room noticed that the electrical outlets between the beds weren’t working so we called for service. It took quite a while for maintenance to show up and once he did just agreed that the outlets weren’t working. We then asked to switch rooms. That took 40 minutes. Finally we were given the exact same room on a different floor. We’d asked for a room with a bath and a shower but were not given one. The next day went to try the swimming pool. Upon arrival noticed that the pool area temperature was cool, the pool itself was cool and the hot tub was lukewarm. There was no attendant to bring one’s attention. Finally another guest went to complain and whomever they found said that no one was on duty until Monday.
The experience was definitely not up to par with the other properties. When we relayed our disappointing experiences at check out we were told the manager would get back to us. We did receive a note from the manager acknowledging our disappointment. That’s it. We never received a follow up survey on our experience at the property. Never offered a reduction in our bill due to the numerous issues or an offer to return at a special rate. The daily rate charged was significantly higher than the rates at other 5 star hotels in Boston.
Overall a complete disappointment.

Hello,

I would like to provide feedback on my stay at the Raffles Boston. To be honest, it felt very expensive compared to the service provided. Upon arrival, despite having paid a substantial amount, I was initially given a very small room. I requested a change because it seemed like they were trying to take advantage of me. Furthermore, I was promised a complimentary spa service during booking, which was not provided upon my arrival, an omission I find quite dishonest. My package was supposed to include breakfast, yet every time I inquired, I was told I needed to pay, which was disturbing and inconvenient throughout my stay. Additionally, upon checking out, I was erroneously charged an extra $200, which was only removed after I pointed it out. Moreover, for two bottles of Coke and a chocolate from the fridge, they charged me approximately $70, which is exorbitant.. The overall experience was far from relaxing and contributed to a stressful, mentally taxing environment, which is unacceptable given the deceptive practices and overcharging.

The Hotel Accommodations and Service were truly 5 Star. From the moment we checked in, Nike Reid and the entire Butler service team, as well as David (young porter that attends Bentley) made our stay memorable. By way of example, my daughter had forgotten her I-phone charger and after texting our butler at 10PM, he immediately delivered several options for her to use. Similarly, they offered to shine her knee-high boots and upon their return, there was a pair of complimentary wool socks wrapped with a bow inside the boots. These little touches show great attention to guest services. The bedding and finishes of the furnishings were elegant and high end. Each night they also left a different treat for us: French macaroons, brownies, cookies etc. Also, Anya Uritsky, the guest ambassador was thoughtful and attentive to all of our needs. I travel all over the world and only stay in 5-star luxury properties and the service at this hotel exceeded my expectations. I simply did not expect that level of service from any hotel in Boston. I previously stayed countless times at The Newbury and Four Seasons Hotels in the Back Bay area and found the service at Raffles superior. It will be my new home when visiting Boston.

We booked the Raffles as it is featured on the Accor website.
Our first point of contact upon arrival was quite suprising (disappointing?!) for such a hotel. The staff seemed to be struggling (valet staff or reception) a bit and our room was not ready despite arriving later than the minimum time. I wasn't too happy about it baring in mind the cost for a night and as no real alternative was suggested.
Moments later however we were taken to our room by our dedicated butler. The room was absolutely beautiful, qualilty materials, attention to detail and one of the most comfortable beds we got to sleep in.
The room and its equipments were perfect except for the noisy and capricious air con.
We found out that the hotel has been opened for a little over a month, which can explain the few hiccups we got to experience.
We had a drink in the (very noisy) bar (opened to external guests) and had dinner at Amar, the portuguese restaurant on site. Staff were really nice and well informed on the various options which we appreciated.
Breakfasts are à la carte, again, very good quality for both sweet and savoury options.
Top gym and pool on site as well.

FIRST OFF....LOCATION! Perfect to get around the city. Trains, cars and by foot are all steps away. We stayed for nine nights and from the moment I arrived with my 16 year old daughter,, we felt taken care of. The staff are invested in making it feel like home. We were there to tour colleges and we were introduced to staff members who had attended a couple of the colleges we were visiting. Alex, A BU student who works at Raffles on the weekends, put together a package for my daughter that was waiting for her the first morning. Nick, our Butler, was on top of every detail and made a mean welcome cocktail! He was always available via text and so warm and welcoming. Most of the 17th floor (which is home reception and the writing room and stellar view) knew our names and took time to chat and check in on our time in Boston. Christa and Sanje, were exceptional with communication and wonderful suggestions for meals, coffee and places to explore. Anya, Client Relations, was a delight to sit and chat with! Each night upon returning to the hotel, the evening "treat"was waiting and there were always plenty of water bottles in the room. As for the spa facilities, pool and gym, they are beautiful, just a little impractical with very few hooks to hang robes or towels. That's also the one element missing in the room. Girls like hooks! The rooms are stunning and the beds make it hard to get up in the morning, they are heavenly! As the hooks are the only constructive thing I would mention, clearly that leads one to give Raffles a 10+! Looking forward to my next stay and seeing all their friendly faces again! And definitely hit Flour and The Friendly Toast, right outside the hotel, just steps way!

Having stayed at Raffles Singapore, London and Warsaw, the Boston hotel is a massive disappointment.

The rooms are small and poorly designed. The wardrobe is tiny and not suitable for leisure travellers staying multiple days. Even in the suites you barely get much more room. The beds are no larger than Kings. The bathrooms are small. The amenities are basic eg standard rather than Dyson hairdryers. The water pressure is mediocre.

Note also that many of the rooms and suites overlook a car park - as does the swimming pool.

Note also the corridors appear not to be air conditioned and are very hot on warm days.

The breakfasts are good but extremely overpriced - well over fifty dollars a person.

The spa is good but only does massage and facials. No manipedi, hair, other options.

The butlers and concierge are friendly but response times are slow relative to similarly priced hotels eg Aman New York.

I came back to my room today at 3 and it still hasnt been made up.

This is basically a well located nice business hotel with smaller rooms than the MO or Four Seasons. It’s not suitable
for a longer stay. It’s not a luxe product. I feel ripped off / mis sold on the Raffles name.

We were not staying but wanted to look around at this new hotel, since we had stayed prior in Asia at a couple of these sumptuous hotels known for their service. Beautiful Asian interior design reminded us of good times living abroad in China. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful until we sat at the Long Bar for drinks. We expected high prices, it is what it is, a glass of an average Sancerre for $24 and a white Negroni for $22. The bartender was not particularly helpful with my cocktail selection and certainly did not explain that my drink was premade in a small bottle. Very weird, yet tasty I admit. He simply was not interested in us and did not represent what we had experienced abroad. We think there may have been something wrong. was he ill, with his face, mouth, nose as he was constantly rubbing with his hands. A very nice view of course and an outdoor terrace is yet to open. The lounge bar was very busy mid afternoon.
