The rooms are big. we had two queen size beds which was great. It is situated at the intersection of main road. So walking was a bit of a problem. The front office and housekeeping staff were very friendly n helped me with directions etc. there is a coffee counter round the clock and they were offering complementary breakfast as i think their restaurant was under renovation. overall a comfortable stay. They allowed a late check out as well which was great.. bathroom was in good working condition so no complaining there.. mentioning this coz have had problems in other hotels before..

Hotel's Favourite
This hotel is in a great location. The subway is just out the door and most of downtown's attractions are within walking distance. The hotel is clean, the staff helpful, the valet service excellent, and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable.

Lovely clean hotel with very large rooms and beds as well as valet parking which is essential in downtown Boston. Breakfast was also very good. Shops were easily access and we were able to do the freedom trail easily. Lots of brochures are available for your Oy

Great stay pre and post our vacation. We had such a great experience on the front end of our trip that we changed our reservation at the end of our trip from another hotel to stay here again. Convenient to the T station and we could quickly get to all the major attractions in town. Seth at the front desk was awesome too, super helpful and greeted us warmly on each of our stays here.

This really is a Doubletree/Hilton in name only. The rooms are small and poorly maintained, see cracked shower surround and leaking ceilings. We stayed twice, in two different rooms before and after a tour of the NE. In one room there was the noise of a perpetual fan (not in my control) that sounded like grinding coffee. All night. The lobby is up one floor from the ground with one elevator that was out of service, forcing me to schlep luggage down a curved staircase. And, this is 2022, you don’t charge $300+ a night and then have the gall to charge for internet. Restaurant was small and understaffed and breakfast is not included. The plusses to this place, and what saved them from two dots, is the staff. All are friendly and helpful. They’re just great. I wish the hotel would invest in the building so it would rate as well as their employees. This hotel is convenient to Tufts, the T, and Chinatown (great food there). Location, great. Staff, great. Building and business model, abysmal.

First stay at this property. Staff welcoming and helpful. Rooms quiet, clean and spacious. Excellent location within walking distance to Chinatown, downtown, historic sites, shopping, Boston Commons and Gardens, TD Gardens and many dining options. Reasonable hotel rates for city. Definitely will stay again when in Boston.

I made the decision to stay at the Double Tree Hilton because is was listed as being close to the Shubert Theater - my teenager wanted to see some Anime dudes on tour with their live show. I was under impressed with the space and decor in our room, BUT when my head hit the pillow it made up for mostly everything else - Best Pillows Ever, relaxed my whole body! After a walking tour of Berklee in the morning we needed relaxation before the theater that night so close proximity was what I truly paid for, a short walk through the back parking area and we were at the Shubert theater in less that 2 minutes. The dinner was good but they were out of my top 3 choices so I settled for the Roast Beef Sandwich. Breakfast was good but they didn't have NON PORK breakfast meats. Overall, friendly staff and a really good Mother Daughter overnight stay in Boston.

Our room was 85 degrees when we went in. AC was off and the system was very old and barely seemed to be working. There was a brown, wet stain on the carpet. We immediately got a room change. Overall, the room seemed to be old and pretty beaten up. Lots of scuffs on the furniture. The bed was not very comfortable. Relatively close to most things in the city. Would not return to this hotel.

We decided to take a weekend getaway to Boston. As Hilton Honors members we were greeted warmly and even though we were early, we’re allowed to check in. The hotel was spotlessly clean and nicely appointed in all public areas. Multiple elevators were fast and secure (key access). Our room was extremely comfortable and quiet. The location is a very short walk to the Aquarium, Wharf, Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall and dozens of eateries. Fin Point Restaurant was wonderful. We only wanted some cold fresh oysters and they were excellent! The server was great and provided us with 2 coffees to go when we asked ( we wanted to stroll a bit in the neighborhood.) The next day, Check out (noon) was easy and Bell Service held our bags so we could enjoy most of the second day before heading home. We will definitely return and I highly recommend this hotel.

We checked in at the Doubletree Downtown Boston and received a room on the same level as the bar and breakfast area which was convenient. Unfortunately, our room was not serviced, having been out for the day, we were surprised when we returned to see that we needed to make our bed and request coffee. We did not have a ‘make up my room’ sign for the door so we assumed that was the reason it was missed but the front desk advised that rooms are not serviced anymore unless requested. Had we of known this when we checked in we could have advised that we would like our room serviced. We received a credit towards food which we used towards breakfast, we thought breakfast was expensive for what it was not great and it wasn’t very warm. Breakfast included one cup of coffee each which cost $5.00 no top-ups as when we had previously visited the USA. We found Boston very expensive, especially the taxi arranged by Doubletree front desk, we were advised that the taxi company would be Metro . When the taxi arrived it was shared with another couple which wasn’t a problem but we weren’t aware it would be shared. The journey from the Doubletree Boston Downtown to the cruise port was 10 minutes and we were charged $45.00 per couple so a total of $90.00 which seemed extortionate. If you are getting a taxi ask the price first, perhaps Uber would be cheaper.
