Hotel's Favourite
I stayed here with my 11 year old grandson and we both loved it. We came in on Amtrak south station and it was only one subway ride away, and the entrance to that station is directly next to Yotel. So, $2.40 for us to both (he was free) ride to the hotel with our luggage in a safe and convenient way. Ticket agent and Amtrak members helped us to figure out the ticket and way there. We went back the same way. Entered the station entrance next door to Yotel, went down the escalator, bought a ticket from the machine, went around the corner, got on the subway train in like 3 mins to the next station, which was Amtrak South Station. We walked to the aquarium and to Quincy Market and all around the Seaport area while we were there. Never used Uber or Lyft or anything. It felt very safe, even at night. We never felt threatened in any way. There are several places to eat outside and benches and tables to sit at. This could not be a more convenient place to stay if you are in that area. We had just left the gym on the 2nd floor and were headed back to our room and the robot was outside our door to greet us. He interacted with my grandson and we walked with him to the elevator. My grandson was thrilled! It was so cute. The room had a bunk on top and he slept up there, loved that. The bed was comfortable and the pillows as well. The bathroom & shower are each separated by a glass wall, and a heavy curtain from the bedroom. The room had a great view towards the water. The check in clerks were very friendly. We went up on the roof, PH, to check out the Deck 12 restaurant. It was pricy but great views and though it's not on the menu, they do have potato chips if you want just a snack. If you run out of anything, CVS is just on the next block around the corner and also has lots of outdoor seating in the back and side. I highly recommend Smoke house BBQ on Congress St., amazing food! And the whale watching cruise, $115 but well worth it. The only thing we had any kind of problem with was the ice machine, it has only less than a half cup of ice come out, in total, for 2 cups we tried to get lol. It was not a huge deal. They also will store your luggage in a room downstairs if you want to go out before your plane/train leaves or also have a complimentary 12 pm checkout as well. There is a also a secure feature where you have to scan your room card on the elevator in order to get to your room. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and I think you will love it!

City View did not deliver for the extra price. They need to update their TVs if they want to advertise as a “smart” tv. Location was the real star here. Literally next door to a bus/subway terminal. Blocks away from the harbor and North End.

The location is why I chose this hotel, but do not stay here if you want to get restful sleep. For the price the rooms are small without a fridge. The rooms are dark even with the lights on. The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbor's conversation clearly. You hear people talking in the hallway. You hear bathroom doors being shut. Unless you're surrounded by empty rooms or neighbors who go to bed at the same time as you, you will not be able to sleep in a quiet environment. I was exhausted after my stay here.

I was charged $2700 for four nights after already paying in full on hotels.com. The extra $2700 included an astounding $892/night base rate (pre-tax) for two of those nights. The price on htoels.com was $251/night. I am pissed. Yotel has not responded to me.

Had a great stay here! The location - Seaport - is great. It's very handy for the Silver Line and about a 10 minute walk to South Station. Very easy to get around from here. Lots of food and drink options in Seaport too, and there's a Trader Joe's literally behind the hotel where I grabbed snacks to have in the room. I found I didn't have to go far for anything! Anyone thinking of staying here really needs to manage their expectations - yes the rooms are small, they're called cabins, that's sort of the point. Small, really efficient with the space, cosy, just a great place to use as a base for exploring Boston. I loved it, but I was there solo. I can see how it would be a bit of a struggle with more than one person. You'd be climbing over each other a bit. Same goes for storage space in the room; it was perfect for just me, but with more stuff, I can see how it could get a bit chaotic. Especially if you're there for a longer period of time. Loved the mood lighting in the room. It was also nice and clean for the most part. One small negative - saw some reviews saying the air conditioning is noisy - they're right, it's VERY noisy! It sounded like a plane coming in to land! I decided to keep mine off. It would make me think twice about coming here in warmer weather. I heard it coming on in my neighbour's room too! Worth considering if you're a light sleeper. Also, weirdly, I was constantly battling with the mattress cover; even after housekeeping had been, it was always crumpled up underneath the mattress sheet, I had to keep lifting up the mattress myself to pull it over the corners. And let's face it, no one wants to see under a hotel mattress. It's just not what anyone wants to be doing. I wonder if it's a result of the adjustable bed... The staff were all friendly and helpful too. Overall this hotel is great, as long as you know what you're getting!

An attempt at “funky modern chic” that doesn’t really work. Automated experience leads to snafus and poor customer experience with unhelpful staff. Parking/valet is kind of a pain as it’s right on the main road with only a few spaces out front (plus the valet was hard to track down and slow).

The room was small, but that didn't bother us. Think the size of a cruise ship cabin, with a bigger bathroom space. We did love the feature of adjusting the bed to a seated position. We would have liked coffee in the room and the availability of a gym, but we knew upon booking those were not included. We would book a Yotel again.
