Organizing a stay is simple and easy, thanks to Terry. My partner and I were able to get our stay sorted without any issues or fuss. When we arrived, we realized the property was a real gem, and exactly as described. I loved being able to focus on the fun stuff, and then come home to a place with character. I loved that Terry was flexible, accommodating, and thoughtful. Without a doubt, a fantastic stay.
When I asked if I could have Amazon packages delivered ahead of my stay? The owner Terry said, "No problem. Here's the address" When I had a crazy change of plans? Terry said, "Let me take care of you." I'll spare you the details, but at every hurdle, Terry and his team were there for me. Maybe I'm just not used to people being civil, but Terry blew me away with kindness.
Every time you come back here it feels like you're coming back home. Great place for singles, for couples, and for families! What is especially significant about this place is the hosts who take care for every detail of your stay.
We stayed in unit 4 (one of the private guest rooms) and it looked exactly like it was presented. We had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. It was only a 5 minute walk to the Roxbury Crossing metro which we used everyday to get into Boston.
Three friends and I stayed in the 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment. It was a very nice apartment, everything one could need, and was very quiet. The furnishings were good, beds very comfortable. The place was very clean. The manager was easy with whom to communicate and responded quickly to our inquiries. There were just two issues which might not affect anyone other than four older women: (1) the stairs are very narrow and curve with the top flight being very narrow and steep at the top; and (2) once one walks 3-4 blocks away (toward the T station) the neighborhood gets rather sketchy. We walked to the station each morning but were not comfortable walking back to the apartment at night, so we used Uber.
We stayed at the Fort Hill Inn when we were there in May . Great change from hotel atmosphere. Had everything we wanted . Close to metro stop however we took Uber instead . No parking available but not a problem since we didn’t have a car . No elevator but they have lovely accommodations on First floor . Would stay here again if in the Boston area .
I brought my granddaughters to Boston June 15, 2018 and chose this condo to give us more of a historic flavor rather than the expected cookie-cutter hotel room. This condo did not disappoint. It is as nice as the photos. It is well-maintained, clean, and nicely decorated. There is a full kitchen with everything you would need to cook a meal. There is easy access to the T down the hill, but I admit we used Uber or Lyft for the door-to-door convenience. Very safe and quiet neighborhood. A short ride to the historic neighborhoods and the Quincy market (a favorite!). Terry was an excellent host, very friendly and made us feel welcome. My granddaughters are already missing their Boston home and want to know when we can come back. I have recommended this condo to my friends who are planning a Boston trip. Thanks, Terry, for helping make this a memorable vacation!…
We stayed at Fort Hill Inn in June of 2018. The studio apartment was very clean and very well appointed. Communication with the owner was easy and access to the studio was just as described. The bed was comfortable and the pull out couch with air mattress was great as well. We are a family of 4, kids ages 9 and 12, and we had plenty of room as well as plenty of great towels. Our favorite part of the Inn was the proximity to the T. We did not have a rental car, so we utilized the subway station that was only a 5 minute walk away.
A good location, only 5-6 minutes walk from the Metro. However, there are a lack of food options in the area. The Metro ride to Backbay was quick, and only a bit further to Quincey Market and the historic area. I purchased a 7 Day pass. The inn has good bathroom facilities, a creaky floor and narrow stairs. Don’t expect a large room and full service. The rooms have microwave, fridge and coffee facilities but no tea (sigh). The outside door and room door are coded entry. I didn’t see anyone the whole five days I stayed for my conference. Nice!
We stayed here for a week in October 2017 and could not fault any aspect of our booking or accommodation. The apartment was clean, exceptionally well set up with a great comfortable bed. Booking through Terry was easy and he provided ongoing advice during our stay. Fort Hill Inn is situated within a 5 minute walk to the subway and10/15 minutes to the shops and most restaurants. Could not recommend more highly.
