If you're looking to spoil yourself with excellent service, food, friendliness, luxury and fun, book yourself into the Langham Boston. This is, hands down, the best hotel I've ever stayed at, and far exceeds any Fairmont I've stayed in. The rooms are beautiful. The beds comfortable. The service in the restaurant and bar is fantastic and so is the food. The pool/hot tub are lovely and relaxing. There are beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers all over. They were so kind to my girls, providing tiny robes and slippers for them. The concierge was helpful with restaurant recommendations and tours. We had a small issue with some noisy neighbors which the manager quickly assisted with. The location is a short walk to the finish line and the busses. It's also really close to the wharf area and markets. Book your next stay here - you will not regret it!

We stayed at The Langham over marathon weekend and absolutely loved it. The hotel is beautifully appointed in a stylish modern way and the staff are all super friendly. Our room was lovely - bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was great. We stayed on the 3rd floor which was convenient for the pool and gym. Pool opened at 7am and was a good size for a proper swim. The pool area also has a hot tub and sauna for easing any marathon aches!! Not a cheap option but The Langham won’t disappoint. The bar (The Fed) was also fantastic and great for casual food and drinks.

Was a fan of this hotel up until checkout. Rooms were very nice as were the restaurants. My issue was with management. Up until the point of checkout we were having a lovely stay. There were charges in the amount of approximately $900 that were on my account that were not authorized. The front desk was kind enough to waive these charges and the room bill was settled with a zero balance. Several hours later I received a message alert from my credit card company that the charges were reinstated. I called the hotel and they were reluctant to waive the charges after the account had already been settled. I am now taking the issue up with my credit card company since the hotel was unwilling to stand by its initial decision. My daughter is starting college in Boston and this hotel could have had my loyalty for the next four years. What a shame. Please just check your room charges very carefully upon checkout as management is extremely deceptive and untrustworthy.

Dear Mr. Lubliner, It is with deep regret that I acknowledge the service failings during your recent stay, which did not align with the high standards we aspire to uphold. Please accept my sincere apologies for the confusion surrounding the charges to your account and the subsequent communication which lacked the requisite clarity. We intended to maintain established protocols for our Langham Club access, yet we fell short in executing these policies with the clarity and grace expected of us. This miscommunication is not reflective of our stringent standards, and I have personally overseen a review of our procedures to enhance our transparency. In a gesture of goodwill, we have refunded the additional charge for one day’s Club access amounting to $174.68. We value your loyalty highly and earnestly hope to regain your trust. Our team is prepared to address any further concerns, ensuring a flawless and superior experience moving forward. We are grateful for your feedback and look forward to the opportunity to host you again, demonstrating the exceptional service our guests deserve. Most sincerely, The Langham, Boston Management

Not quite a 5 star sadly, we have stayed in several Langhams around the world and this is not in the top 3. Booked the executive/club level and Michael Crenshaw was a very welcoming manager - thank you Michael, although I did feel it was a bit churlish to charge a full day rate for my daughter visiting us for one hour only. Food in the lounge was quite basic, not offering boiled or poached eggs for breakfast was a shame as the omelettes & scrambled eggs were not so good. No tomato juice unless requested....this is America.! Pasta dishes and Minestrone for light supper were served without Parmesan. Very disappointing. In other Exec lounges the food has been excellent and allowed us to dine-in rather than leave the hotel. The drinks looked to be a good selection for those who drink. Check-in was very slow and I was awarded $100 credit in the breakfast restaurant (which I didn't use as I had breakfast in the Exec lounge. The room had no bath, the audio in the bathroom did not work, I requested foam pillows when I booked but they did not arrive until Day 2, room had no fridge....it was the little details like this which disappointed. There are major roadworks taking place outside so there was a lot of noise (jackhammers etc) up until 23.00 each night and that was on level 6. Overall not quite up to other Langham standards.

Esteemed iSooz, I received your detailed feedback with a profound sense of dismay. Your commendation for Michael Crenshaw, whose dedication represents our service ethos, shines amidst the concerns you articulated. I offer my unreserved apologies for the shortcomings during your stay, which did not meet the high standards of Langham properties. We have taken your critiques seriously, particularly concerning the executive lounge and room amenities, and are currently reviewing these services to ensure they align with our commitment to excellence. The additional charge for your daughter’s brief visit, and the disturbance caused by external roadworks, have highlighted areas for policy re-evaluation and better communication. We are addressing these immediately to improve our guest experience. Your feedback is invaluable and serves as a catalyst for our continuous pursuit of perfection. We are eager to restore your confidence and hope to welcome you back under more favorable conditions, ensuring an experience that truly reflects the high regard in which we hold your patronage. Most sincerely, The Langham, Boston Management

We had a nice stay at The Langham Boston - we stayed for 1 night over Easter weekend as a family of 4 in the Family Room which had a King bed plus pullout sofa bed. We used to stay a couple times a year at The Langham Chicago pre-Covid, so that was our experience with Langham Hotels previously and it was outstanding. While I don't have any real complaints about our stay, I feel like this hotel is reaching for 5 star but isn't quite there. Largely I think the staff should have a more client focused energy. No one was rude or unkind, but no one knocked my socks off. I think at a 5-star property, all the staff should give you the sense that they are eager to welcome you, help with anything, make your stay awesome, go the extra mile, etc. 5-Star notes: beautiful decor in the room, historical architectural details - gorgeous double height ceiling and huge windows in the room, complimentary tea/coffee in the AM in lobby, turndown service (I had asked for some specific things and they got it right), accommodating housekeeping staff (I am high maintenance and usually ask for a bunch of stuff and they brought everything), tasty room service meal (expensive as expected) - roasted bone-in chicken breast with risotto was really good, Diptyque toiletries (loved this, most hotels have lame toiletry brands), nice linens/pillows, slippers, robe, great photo ops around the property, valet parking, full service restaurants and bar. What's Missing: there was no bottled water in the room upon arrival (I asked when I was talking to housekeeping and they said they leave it in the room at turndown service which they did) - I'm sorry, but there should be complimentary water in the room upon arrival at this level. The pool & hot tub area was clean but felt much more Marriott than Langham - just lacking a real luxurious vibe - my kids still enjoyed it, comfy chair for parents to watch but definitely no romance or opulence, the hotel provides inflatable toys which all the kids were enjoying, also the pool closes at 8pm which was lame as we couldn't do an evening swim after dinner. Also, there is really no hotel staff at the pool so no reason to close so early. No welcome amenity, no chocolate at turndown, nothing special for the kids at check-in. Overall this is a great property, but it's expensive and you just need to decide what's most valuable to you. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend but I think they just need to step up their hospitality game a bit with welcoming guests and some of those smaller details that set 5 star hotels apart.

Let's start with the positives - the room service was exceptional. The food was not only delicious but also arrived promptly, hitting the right notes for a satisfying meal after a day of exploring the city. The gym, equipped with top-of-the-line machines, certainly caters to fitness enthusiasts. However, it was a tad more crowded than my preference, reminiscent of busy fitness centers like Equinox. For those who thrive on the energy of a bustling workout environment, this might not be an issue, but it's worth noting for those who prefer a more serene exercise space. The room itself was a sanctuary of cleanliness and comfort, with ample space and thoughtful amenities. The staff at the hotel were consistently helpful, kind, and accommodating, enhancing the overall guest experience. Additionally, our dining experiences at The Fed for dinner and Grana for brunch were delightful additions to our stay. Grana, in particular, offered a stunning location to enjoy a meal. While we did encounter some issues with a server at The Fed and with the initial receptionist during check-in, the majority of the staff were incredibly accommodating and courteous. The hidden nooks within the hotel were picturesque and well-designed, adding to the overall charm of our visit. Unfortunately, the glowing review takes a hit when it comes to the Wi-Fi. Connecting to the network was a frustratingly slow process, testing my patience more than once. In an era where seamless connectivity is almost as essential as a good night's sleep, the subpar Wi-Fi was a significant drawback. In conclusion, this hotel offers a pleasant stay overall, with standout room service, well-maintained rooms, and friendly staff. The gym might be a bit too bustling for some, but that's subjective. However, the abysmal Wi-Fi experience prevents me from giving it a perfect score. If you can overlook connectivity issues, this hotel might be the perfect fit for your needs. I rate it 4/5, acknowledging its strengths but also mindful of the areas that could use improvement. NOTE: This Tripadvisor review comes after my earlier Google review. I'm pleased to report that The Langham has informed me that they have addressed their Wi-Fi problems since my stay. While my initial review and rating will remain unchanged, as they reflect my first impression, I appreciate the hotel's efforts to improve the guest experience. Despite minor issues, The Langham remains an excellent choice for accommodation.

Dear Mr. Yoon, We are deeply touched by your thoughtful reflection on your stay, encapsulating the essence of what we strive for in hospitality—a balance of comfort, care, and connection. Your insights eloquently capture the duality of our mission: to provide an oasis of solace and service that feeds the soul, while also recognizing the importance of flawless functionality in amenities like Wi-Fi, which are indeed as fundamental to the modern guest experience as the tangible luxuries we offer. Your forthrightness about the areas where we fell short is invaluable, serving not just as feedback but as a beacon guiding our improvements. It reaffirms our belief that true hospitality encompasses not only the provision of serene and beautiful spaces but also a relentless pursuit of perfection in every aspect of our service. Your words inspire us to continue refining our craft, ensuring that every facet of our guest experience—from the most basic to the most indulgent—meets the high standards we set for ourselves. Thank you for your graciousness and for joining us on our journey of continuous improvement and heartfelt service. With profound appreciation, The Langham, Boston Management
