We stayed at the Eliot Hotel as it was recommended to us by some friends who had previously stayed. The staff were really welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was fine for us, but it was a decent walk into the tourist areas, like the park near the cheers bar and the market. But it was no issue for us. We enjoyed the walk back to the hotel by all the lovely houses which were decorated for Halloween. Would recommend.
This hotel was great. As soon as you walk up we were greeted by the doormen opening the doors to a gorgeous entryway with a beautiful chandelier above. The front desk helped store our luggage and helped us with directions. While we were away they put our luggage into our adjoined rooms. They were very attentive. The rooms were very nicely sized. One with a king bed and a living room area with tv, couch, and chairs. The other room had two queen beds. All the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were very nice both had marble walk in showers. Plush towels and nice toiletries. All around a great stay!
What a lovely old hotel. It is pretty well located in Back Bay, about a 15 minute Uber from Logan. The staff is gracious and helpful. The rooms are unique - in a good way - due to the nature of the building. While on a busy corner, the windows are double so you really won't notice any external noise. You are within walking distance of lots of different things to do - from shopping to restaurants. The hotel does have a restaurant, Uni, but we got in too late to try. The menu looks delish. Compared to pricing of other hotels in the area, the rates are reasonable for this gem.
Well appointed boutique hotel located in the back bay neighborhood of Boston. Great location as close to Fenway Park and Newbury Street shopping and restaurants. Staff was attentive and mostly courteous. One bedroom suite was very comfortable and clean. Uni restaurant onsite was outstanding susi and breakfast buffet was a good value for $18. Overall, exceeded our expectations and will likely return annually.
Its been 2 years since we ventured from our nest. We knew the most treasured place to visit was The Eliot Hotel in Boston. We have visited here many times over the years and there is no place more special to us. Luxury is one of the first things that comes to mind. Old world charm, immaculate rooms, friendly and knowledgeable staff, (especially Hemant), terrific location...you can't ask for more. We always leave wanting more....so we booked another stay in November!
We stayed here during a college family weekend. This beautiful, quaint hotel is my new favorite in Boston! Everyone was pleasant and accommodating, the rooms were very comfortable and the location was great. I can't wait to return!
The room was lovely, we got upgraded on our honeymoon and it was really nice. The door staff were really helpful, as were the guys on the reception desk. Good location - really close to down town and the historical walks available. Really lovely, would recommend. Also would highly recommend the japanese restaurant for dinner - if you like pan-Asian food & sushi, you'll really enjoy this!! So good, though a bit more expensive than other nearby options, but you really get what you pay for. Not sure if good value because we paid as part of a package, so don't know what this particular hotel cost.
The hotel lobby reflects its former glory and the staff are very professional and polite but our suite was smaller than I expected and the decor, a little tired. We had booked it for three people as in addition to the very comfortable bed, there was a sofa bed in the separate living room. It was an old sofa bed model with a thin mattress which was very basic and proved to be as uncomfortable as it looked. Overall ok but disappointing as not adequate for the three of us. The friendly and courteous staff are the hotel’s biggest asset.
Wonderful staff, very accommodating, extraordinarily polite. Traditional hotel that knows how to make you feel special. Great location near Berklee, Northeastern and Fenway. We had the two double bed room. Very spacious and well appointed.
It’s a lovely hotel in a great location. It’s a very traditional hotel in the Back Bay and it was a pleasant change from the large modern hotels. The staff are so pleasant and helpful. I can honestly say they are the most welcoming hotel staff I’ve met
