Location was excellent. Parking lot and garage were not big enough. An employee had to move his motorcycle out of a garage parking space so that we could park. Breakfast food was cold every morning. There was almost no breakfast meat offered. There were no towel racks in the room. There was no full length closet space to hang something like a dress. There were no dining table and chairs in the room. Luggage carts were too small. The microwave and cabinets of dishes were too tall for us to reach. We were charged for daily parking when our reservation stated complimentary parking; this was later resolved. The building was very well designed and very attractive.

Really enjoyed this property so much! Very close to everything you'd like to do in Asheville. Room was very nice, amenities we're very nice. There is a very nice espresso/coffee/cappuccino machine that is always available 24/7. Breakfast is on the second floor away from the lobby (which I always appreciate) My only comment, the breakfast is lacking a bit. For a Hotel at this price-point and being an Element, the breakfast could use some more items, especially some proteins. Other than that, the Hotel is really great!

I don't understand any of the negative reviews. We stayed 1 night since we were passing through, in a double room with a kitchen. Every aspect of the hotel - lobby, breakfast area, common areas and most importantly our room and bathroom - were not only new and modern, but sparking clean! That is really important to me especially now with Covid. The breakfast is average and typical with some fresh fruit, yogurt & toppings, juices, cereal, bagels, etc.. but they do have an espresson/cappuccino machine that got quite the use from guests. Also the breakfast presentation is nicer than most places, so aesthetically it is appealing. All of the staff were very pleasant. I had looked at other hotels, some of which were slightly more expensive, and I am glad that I made the choice to give this one a try. If ever in Asheville again I will be sure to give them my repeat business. PS - the rooms are either on the tunnel side or the highway side. Yes there is some noise - you notice that as you enter the hotel, but we stayed on the tunnel side and really did not notice much once in the room. I really appreciated the modern and sleek decor in this hotel and that the room is partial carpet (where the beds are) and partial engineered wood (where the kitchen, hall and bathroom are).

A very clean, very nice hotel, great value for money. It is clearly not a full service hotel, but the rooms are big, there was a sofa, fridge, microwave etc. The staff was polite and helpful. The breakfast was not great, but better than not having any. There were no restaurants on premise. The location is OK, but not great. It is a 20 minute walk to downtown, on a hilly path. There are other hotels which are "in" downtown. They do have a free shuttle though , and Bill was very helpful. Although their site says parking is $12 a day, that is for the covered deck. They have a good number of free surface parking spots.

We (two couples) flew in from Florida to experience the Biltmore estate at Christmas and received a pleasant welcome from the staff at this beautiful new hotel. After checking in, we discovered our rental car would not start to get us to our ticketed tour of the Biltmore House. The emergency service of the car agency told us it would be a minimum of 4-6 hours before anyone could come help us and didn't want to be bothered with our problems at all. Unfortunately we didn't have that amount of time before we needed to be at the Biltmore for our designated tour time. Brittney, at the front desk, immediately jumped in with ideas to solve our problem, gave us much better options than the car rental people, and ended up calling a service to get us back to the airport for another rental car. At the same time another staffer worked to get the car started. The manager, Scott, also offered us water, advice, and a calm ear to ease our stress levels as time passed and nothing we tried worked, and we knew we would be missing the exact event we came to Asheville for. The staff all repeatedly checked on our progress, offered more suggestions as they thought of them, in between carrying out their regular duties, and, in general, were so helpful and compassionate that you would have thought they were your next door neighbors , not people you just met. Even the next day, after our dilemma was solved, the staff offered suggestions of where to go and what to see, so our trip wasn't a total loss. We have never received customer service like this at any other hotel ....what a wonderful group of people work here! In addition, the decor at the Element, complete with gorgeous Christmas decorations, is exceptional and the breakfast room is open, airy, and spacious. The outdoor courtyard has a fire pit, tables and chairs, and even barbecue grills! The roof top deck has a spectacular view of the city and mountains, and there are even bicycles you can use! Add in the superb staff and you have a quiet, exceptional place to stay in Asheville. Kudos to the manager, Scott, for creating an atmosphere where guests feel welcome and much more than just a number. Many thanks to Scott and his staff for all they did for us.
