- While I understand there was a “VIPs” presence at the hotel that necessitated certain security measures, there were no protocols in place to assist guests from out of town with their stay instead of barracking barricading them in for 2 days. - I faced difficulties obtaining food and transportation due to the heightened security measures, despite having multiple bags that hindered my mobility further. - Despite addressing my concerns with management, their response was limited to offering a lunch credit, which was ineffective as the lunch kitchen was closed at the time, resulting in missed meetings and events. - In addition, I live with a chronic illness, so the physical strain of navigating multiple hills with bags to attend meetings was not only inconvenient but also detrimental to my health. When I raised this concern with management, they dismissed it, indicating that it was not their responsibility to accommodate such needs. - Upon checkout, I inadvertently left my sunglasses in the room, but the staff claimed they were too busy to assist and directed me to send an email, to which I have received no response. - Retrieving my baggage from the concierge took an excessive amount of time, and one of my bags was initially lost due to improper labeling, further delaying my departure. - The breakfast offerings were subpar and repetitive, particularly considering the price point of the accommodations. - Additionally, the coffee bar service was the slowest I have ever experienced, with it taking an astonishing 20 minutes just to place an order for a single tea. -Furthermore, the soundproofing of the rooms was abysmal. I could hear everything from neighboring rooms at all times, which either kept me up at night or woke me up unexpectedly. I didn't anticipate being subjected to the conversations of other guests during my stay. -Lastly, when it started raining, I requested the use of an umbrella, as I was informed they were stored in the room. However, upon returning to my room, I discovered there was no umbrella available in the closet as promised, leaving me exposed to the elements without proper protection. - Regrettably, this experience at the Fairmont has been the most disappointing of all my stays, and I do not plan on returning and will not be recommending.…
