I stayed here as part of a conference block during a conference at Moscone. From a location perspective, it can't be beat if you need to go to Moscone West. I stayed here once before many years ago, but I didn't remember a ton about it. I'm in town often for conferences at Moscone, so I've met friends here for drinks or hung out in their lobby area several times. My room was amazing. I had a king suite and it was gigantic. I had a full bathtub and shower, two sitting chairs, and a long area that served as desk, dresser, fridge and coffee station. The only thing I can think of that needed a tweak was a towel bar on the bathroom by the sink. Note the do not disturb sign is a switch. I didn't switch it on when I arrived and staff almost walked in on my. To be fair, they rang the doorbell, but I didn't know what it was. Overall, I have no complaints about my stay here. I didn't dine here at all, but I would expect hotel prices. I would definitely stay here again. I can't comment on the regular rates, but as part of a conference block it was a steal.

Hotel's Favourite
we had a wonderful staycation at the InterContintal. some people wrote about negative experiences recently so I was prepared for disappointment but that was not at all the case for us. clean, modern, updated room. soundproof walls (always a must). friendly service. the valet parking is like $100 - check out options in the area on Spothero, or if you're here on a Saturday night then street parking is very doable. meters end after 6pm on saturday and aren't enforced on Sunday - just don't leave anything in your car that could cause a break in. (unfortunately this area is now a bit sketchy so wouldn't walk around after dark.)

Fantastic rooms with amentities and pool with a great lobby. Friendly staff and good gift shop. Gym was enough for a few days. Bar was good but a little pricey. Didn't use the breakfast buffet as it wasn't advertise anywhere so just be aware there is one.

We had a fabulous stay here...our room was stunning, a luxury bathroom, fluffy large towels, soft cuddly robes. Our bed was large and so very comfortable too! Beautiful white bedding, high quality thread count, really didn't want to get out of it. The location is good for Union Square, a trolley to The Piers.

Room Tip: Best order any taxis from the desk. They have the best prices to pier 27 if you're cruising.

I was in San Francisco to visit my sister and I booked here largely due to the low rate of around $96 on Priceline and due to the hotel's proximity to my sister's apartment. I ended up paying a bit extra for a room on a high floor. The hotel is conveniently located for Union Square and has good access to public transportation links (bus, BART, and light rail) for other important areas of the city such as the Embarcadero. The staff throughout my stay were satisfactory and upon check-in, I was offered complimentary bottled water, which remained available for the duration of my stay. The room was modern with a nice view of the city which was worth the extra $10. It was a bit small for a 4 star: it wasn't cramped but it wasn't very large either. It was, however, amazingly clean with not a blemish in sight. The beds were nice, but fairly narrow in width and the pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was, similar to the room, spotless and was fairly spacious. The tiled shower was an elegant glass door shower that was well maintained. I especially liked that the toilet, unlike many establishments, wasn't extremely low to the ground. The toiletries and soap were high quality and in liquid form, which is always nice. I had two minor complaints about the bathroom. Firstly, the toilet had a weird flushing mechanism, which to the flush handle being stuck in the open position and would keep the water in the tank running if left in that position. Fortunately, we were able to figure out the problem early into our stay. The second issue was that the water pressure for the shower wasn't great. The first floor restaurant, Bistro 888, has a very reasonably priced a la carte menu that is comparable to prices in the area and was very good. I especially liked the daily smoothie, although I was unable to see if it rotated as I only ate there on the final day of my stay. Given the location and the quality of the accommodations at the price paid, it's a pretty much unbeatable deal.

My brother is a disabled U.S. Veteran who had to take care of business at his home Veteran office in San Francisco. What should have taken 1 day ended up taking 2 weeks because of the holidays. He didn't have alot of money and being a trusting man he was soon robbed and left with nothing. I am an IHG Premium Elite member and made him a reservation at Intercontinental San Francisco on 1229/23 to get him out of the rain until he got his money on 1/3/24. As soon as walked into the lobby he was treated poorly. He was told he needed $500 cash or a physical credit card as security, even though they had my credit card and permission to use it. He was treated like rubbish and the manager even refused to come out and talk to him personally How dare they treat a combat Veteran like this. My brother was so humiliated, frustrated and soaking wet he walked out. I will NEVER again recommend or stay at another Intercontinental property. They should be ashamed of themselves!

I stayed there for a conference at the Moscone Center. It was very convenient, and is close to downtown and bus, BART, and cablecars. Our room was very quiet, with lots of room. It even had motorized window curtains, which worked well. The staff was very welcoming. The restaurant at the 888 Bar (not to fancy one) had excellent food.

Well that was a lovely surprise! I changed hotels after a terrible experience in my first location, and this IHG was a breath of fresh air. I was upgraded to a higher floor, employees were lovely, all amenities are there, comfortable beds and quiet rooms....what's not to love? Coffee in the room, toiletries smell nice, wifi is strong and the bar is a great place to hangout. I would absolutely stay here again - thanks all!
