Located in the heart of San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf, Argonaut Hotel exudes the true essence of a boutique hotel. With a name like the Argonaut, it's impossible not to speak of this hotel in grand, almost legendary terms. Inspired by the Greek legend and Gold Rush-era adventurers, it's one of those rare places in San Francisco that truly merits a term like iconic. Located in the historic Haslett Warehouse, the Argonaut's home is a grand building built in 1907 of exposed brick, Douglas Fir beams and so much seaside character; you feel as though you can almost reach out and touch the colorful Barbary Coast past here.

I recently celebrated my birthday at the Argonaut Hotel in San Francisco and had an amazing experience! From Stephanie at the front desk, who provided impeccable service, wonderful recommendations, and was incredibly easy to talk too, to the charming waterfront facing room, everything exceeded my expectations. I also want to highlight the thoughtful amenities provided by the Argonaut, such as the wonderful pet gift box included with the pet fee was a delightful touch, and the complimentary wine added a touch of luxury to my celebration. Can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories!

We booked one night (Valentine's Day) and loved the suite so much we decided to spend a second night. The views were amazing. As a result of booking a second night the room price was significantly reduced making it an even better value. We will definitely stay again in the near future.

This hotel’s location is unbeatable and is very walkable! It is right on Fisherman’s Wharf and very close to all the action like Ghiradelli factory and Pier 39. The rooms are very comfortable and cute and ours had a great view of Alcatraz. The entire hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the lobby was cozy. We would definitely stay again.

We had our company conference to reward the top sales performers. We stayed there three nights and we had 80 attendees. The event planning was excellent. Management gave us all the support and made our event a success. Food was great. Breakfast menu was excellent. Irfan who was the head of F&B gave us high quality service. His staff was amazing too. We are going to be back at this hotel in April 2025.

I was on the hunt for the perfect hotel in the fisherman’s area, and this one emerged as the clear winner. Since it's my wife's first visit to San Francisco all the way from Germany, I wanted to ensure it was unforgettable for her. Despite stretching our budget a bit, the location is unbeatable, nestled right in the heart of the wharf, providing a sense of security compared to options in the union square area. Stephanie at the front desk was exceptionally warm and hospitable, assigning us a room with a nice view. She even exceeded our expectations by surprising us with a thoughtful letter and a bottle of wine! Although our stay was brief, we truly appreciated the genuine hospitality extended to us.

We walked into the hotel & it was beautiful, clean & with a impressive nautical theme! Tenzin was very friendly, professional & helpful when checking us in. The staff was very friendly & nice. We enjoyed the view of the old Del Monte factory courtyard. Next time, we would like the ocean view. The nautical theme in the room was wonderful! The beds were comfy! Wendy did a great job cleaning up our room each day, which we did not plan on being cleaned each day! Javier, our friendly waiter in their Blue Mermaid restaurant, was very efficient. Our breakfast was tasty & filling to start our day of adventure! We will definitely stay again! Thank you for a memorable stay!

I feel like I found an undiscovered gem! Will always come back here when in San Fran. Perfect location that allows you to see the Golden Gate bridge, cable car turnaround, near Ghirardelli, etc. And the rooms are larger than I expected. A lot of space to spread out. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you can tell you aren't in a cookie cutter hotel like a Marriott or Hilton. Shortly after we checked in, we decided to cancel our plans to go down to Monterey as we wanted to stay here longer -- it's that awesome. The exposed brick in the rooms just adds to the charm. And the staff was so amazing and accommodating. I've been telling all my friends and family: If you ever are going to San Fran, stay here. One note: they charge a fortune for parking ($65+) but with a little creativity, you can find parking nearby without much hassle...there's a free four hour lot just to the west of the hotel and street parking options for free overnight (just pay attention to street cleaning days so you don't get ticketed)...but you can have a car and avoid paying to park at the hotel. You'll love it...so fun.
