We stayed for almost two weeks in January and had a great time. The original resort is a converted hotel, but is still very nice from mountain view to ocean front. We stayed in three types of units to start with as we added days...More

We booked a week here through a points on seller (we come from Australia where vacation programs are rare) and weren’t quite sure what to expect. We were more than impressed with Marriott - from the soft plush towels to the huge pools to the...More

We traveled from Florida to our favorite place! Had a 2 bedroom Island View in the Napili Tower. Room was very spacious. We prefer to have a full kitchen, and this room was perfect. We got in late and the front desk got our check...More

I pay $4000 flat fee for 7 nights. No added taxes or fees which are usually pretty high when you stay in any hotel. So that’s 571 per night all in. Well worth it for 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms plus kitchen and... More

Just an FYI to anyone reading this. I was an owner at the Marriott Ocean Club for years, when it first was opened. What you have to understand about this property is that there are THREE options. The original 'Maui Ocean Club' is the original Hotel that was converted to Timeshare. We owned a 2/3 so this was essentially 3 hotel rooms converted to TimeShare...with the central room, a living/kitchenette area (micro/dishwasher/sink). If you want a full blown setup like the Newport Coast Villas, Ko'Olina, Desert Ridge (Phx)...you have to book one of the new towers, Napili or Lahaina Villas. Those are the new units with full Kitchens, etc. Having been to this property about 6 times, I'll say it is awesome, one of the best pools on Kaanapli, great vibe. This last year we tried the new Westin Nanea Villas - just opened. The rooms were awesome, but the pool, the atmosphere, the location....not even close to the Marriott. Many of the complaints on this property are due to not understanding what they were booking. Perhaps Marriott needs to clarify so people don't think they are all the same, but you get what you book. I for one, don't care about the fancy room and full kitchen as I spend my time in the Pool with a Book, or in the Ocean.

I agree that the Marriott location is nicer than the Westin location because of its nicer pools and beach. Rooms and balconies in the original Maui Ocean Club are bigger than those in the newer Napili and Lahaina towers... More

The main central building where you arrive is the older tower. Rooms are ok, but rooms and in-room ammenities are smaller (this really does not subtract at all from your experience). The upside is the location vs. check... More
