My wife and I had a great stay, the hotel is in a great location and has great on-site amenities with multiple pools, spas, a bar/restaurant, shops, and stand for beach gear rentals. Rooms are spacious and come with a full kitchen and in-unit laundry.

Hotel's Favourite
Two bedrooms with two baths and oceanfront premium view. This room was extremely nice! Wraparound windows directly on the beige sandy beach front. We were there in February and literally every day watched multiple, multiple whales all morning long and turtles as well from our big balcony. So nice! Huge windows, opening up to a balcony with great ocean views from living room and from master bedroom, and then big window mountain views from the other bedroom. Full kitchen, granite countertops, full fridge, table, sofa and chairs, just really nice. Basic, no frills, oceanfront pool and hot tub, but still nice. AC. Multiple local food trucks in a lot just off the property on the main road. Our stay was really, really great!

This a great vacation spot for family. Very friendly staff, rooms are clean, and have everything you need. Location is awesome. Plenty of activities for kids. We had no problems. Prices are affordable.

BAD STUFF: Livingroom TV speakers made a crackling sound so watching movies on our vacation was annoying. Toaster only worked if you smacked it around. Fold out bed mattress was the most uncomfortable and noisy bed I have EVER slept on. While I understand the need for improvement, the construction that was going on during our entire stay was very off-putting. Trying to relax and have fun at the pool or enjoy a meal at our hotel table while listing to loud construction equipment machines was very disappointing, and we found ourselves having to close our beautiful patio doors to try to block out the noise in order to sleep or enjoy a family meal. Had to walk passed disorganized piles of construction crap and it was tacky - there had to be a better way to block off that stuff from guests but it looked like they maybe didn't want to spend the money to do so. GOOD STUFF: Literally everything not listed above! The Pool was beyond amazing and my 4yo grandson was obsessed with it. Beautiful beach as well. They have a goods and gift shop which had a lot of essentials (we appreciated being able to find most things we needed that we forgot to pack), however the prices were a bit ridiculous. The lady that works at the shop was very nice and friendly. We originally picked the Aston based on price, and it was a great overall value. Based on price and value we would definitely stay at the Aston again. GETTING AROUND INFO: We were there for a week, spent a lot of time in Lahaina, and we did NOT rent a car. There is no trolley (if you research and it comes up), however there is a bus service that was perfectly wonderful for our needs. $4/pp gets you a day pass and the bus system (route #28) is so simple, it's just north and south. There's a bus stop right in front of the Aston. Lahaina is literally a 10-min bus ride from the Aston. If you can uber to and from the airport (which we did) and forgo renting a car... it will save you a TON of money. We did not make it to the east side of the island, the only reason we would have wanted a rental for a day. SIDE NOTE: Go to the "Baby Beach" in Lahaina!! It's great for kids, and adults can walk out 100 yards and the water is only waste-high. We saw our only sea turtles on the trip there (didn't see them at Molokini, etc.). The 'Cannery Mall' bus stop gets you a half-block from there. USE THE BUS SYSTEM PEOPLE, CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH!! Hope you have a wonderful time as we did. Safe travels everyone :)…

The location is wonderful - resort is beach front - excellent Restaurant on site - grocery store and shopping across the street and the staff is friendly, helpful and have wonderful customer service! You cannot go wrong with this resort and the location.

Hotel is in a great location, one desk lady wasnt friendly and did not accomodate my reservations ended up in a room facing condominiums and a drainage canal on top of daily deliveries. Rooms 24-40 not desirable. Other than that this is a great place will be back again.

we stayed in a "resort view," aka overlooking the parking lot. which was fine because we didn't stay much in the room but to sleep. 4 starts because the room was super dusty to the point that the bathroom door was slotted and there was dust bunny's in every slot. the furniture was extremely out dated as well. We had about 2 night construction went on from 7am -10pm.. Commented to front desk and never heard it again past 5pm. The grounds are beautiful and the people working there are incredibly nice. I know we didn't pay for the best room (on purpose), but better cleaning would have been nice. Restaurant food was very good and the drinks at the bar. You could rent chairs and umbrellas at the hotel for the beach and beach towels were provided. Amazing fish market up the street and mix plates place 2 stores down. Grocery store also right across the street. shopping is only about 10 mins away. in my opinion this resort was very convenient to everything. 3 shops located at resort including a little grocery.. we ended up just buying all our gift stuff there. …

This was a Mother’s Day trip and overall it was nice. If the air conditioning had been working better it have made my sleep better. Also there was construction being done next to me during the day hours.

Booked this hotel based off of pictures and reviews. Booked an Ocean View Suite. I’ll start with the pool areas/garden are beautiful. But that’s where it stops. The parking lots needed a lot of help. Someone could be out there with a leaf blower at least. The hallways and carpet looked like something from an old Elvis movie. Carpet was wrinkled and needed stretched. Signs were old and outdated. Corners around elevators were patched, but never painted. Elevator doors and trim were beat up. Vents covered in dust. Our room should have been labeled as partial ocean view. We could see more of the pool than the ocean. The TVs are tiny. Flies in the ice machine. The bedroom was un-inviting and boring. Light switches didn’t work, so always had to use the lamp. You don’t travel to Maui expecting to stay in a room like this that cost over $500/night. …

They gave us a room with a full kitchen, stove full fridge, dishwasher and a washer dryer in the room. It was basically a one bedroom apartment. Living room was great, but bedrooms are a little dated. I would stay there again though if traveling on a budget.
