Kohea Kai is the definition of No Ka Oi. Hawaiian for Is the Best. I stay there twice a month for work and every time is awesome. The most polite and accommodating Staff you will ever interact with. No matter if you stay in their smallest, medium or full on huge rooms always super clean and comfortable. Perfectly located away from the busy and noisy Kihei tourist area yet a short drive to all the restaurants, Bar and grills and day and night activities. So quiet and peaceful you will want to turn off A/C and drift away to the sound of the ocean and waves. Directly across from the beach awesome Maui sunsets you can enjoy from your lanai or a couple of steps and enjoy it on the beach usually alone or maybe a few people(very rare) at any beach in Kihei. Pool and big hottub to relax in and if you get the deluxe room you will have 2 bedrooms a living room a full kitchen with full size appliances and your own personal hottub on the lanai. Centrally located close to Kahului and a beautiful 20 mile drive to Lahaina. Experience Maui without the insanely expensive hotels on Maui. Customer service and always so clean is what makes Kohea Kai different from any other place. Recommend for everyone single, couples or families. …

Hotel's Favourite
The resort is a gem with a friendly staff. During our stay, Carol, Tevita, and Luseane were very courteous and helpful. For example, they gave us pointers on major sites to see in Maui. They provided us ample, quality snacks in the lobby. It's a relaxing resort with a nice hot tub and small pool. Our room was nice and clean. Thank you for a superb stay.

Amazing staff, room, atmosphere, and location! The room was very clean and I was very impressed with the updated bathrooms. When I come to Maui for work trips I typically would stay at the Marriott, however, I found my new preferred place to stay when I come into town! 10/10 would recommend!

It was our first time in Maui and we were celebrating our 35 year anniversary. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. The room that they upgraded for us was very nice right by the pool. We recommend staying here, there is also a beach right across the street.

Penthouse pool view....WOW!!! My kids, teen, and everyone loved this set up. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only stayed one night but thought we should stay more next time. Can't wait to visit again!

This hotel simply was far above what we expected!!! It is in a GREAT location!!! It has easy access to the Kahului Airport and is right across the street from the beach!! The room was roomy, comfortable and more than what we were expecting!! There was a nice patio were we sat and had morning coffee. There is a pool and hot tub as well as laundry facilities on site. Staff was very friendly as well. We could not have expected more. Thank you you the staff of the Kohea Kai Maui for a fabulous stay for our anniversary!!! We will definitely be back!!

Excellent Location, Friendly Staff, Very Clean. Stayed for 2 night, room was small but had everything we needed . Nice little table and chairs outside, pool was very cold but refreshing, as well, beach is directly across the street. Rooftop patio is a little tricky to find but worth the adventurer. Not a modern luxury 5 star but still worthy of 5 stars. ⭐️

I stayed for one night on December 14, 2022. It is a smaller and older property, but I found it to be very clean. I was upgraded from a standard room to a Junior Suite Room 323. I think that my room had been renovated. There was a small kitchenette area with a microwave, mini refrigerator, and coffee maker. The room was bigger than I expected. The king bed was a bit too soft for my liking but there was a assortment of pillows to choose from. There was a desk and 2 chairs. The ceiling fan and air conditioner worked really well. The lanai had a table and 2 chairs. There was peekaboo view of the ocean. The shower was large. It took a few minutes for the hot water to get hot but not a big deal. The toilet seat kept shifting. The pool is small, but the beach/ocean is literally across the road. There are chairs, beach umbrellas, and coolers to borrow which is a huge plus. I saw that there were 2 bikes and helmets that you can also borrow, after signing the waiver. There is also a lovely garden area in the back. A BBQ and hot tube are available to use, but you need to reserve these. There are complimentary breakfast and afternoon snacks available. I think that there are only 2 restaurants within walking distance, but you are walking literally on the side of the road alternating with sidewalk. One must be careful as the road is very busy. I had the pleasure of meeting Carol and Lucy who were at the Front Desk. Two amazing human beings. Carol offered me some of her personal food after I told her that I was so hungry and disappointed that there were not more food options/restaurants within close walking distance. When I was speaking to her the next day, she said I should have taken her car. What? This woman doesn't even know me. Lucy was so kind in answering my numerous questions and requests. She was so patient with me, and allowed me a little extra check out time after I told her that I rode the bike to so many places and was in desperate need of a shower before checking out. Nice beach, just across the road. Clean room and friendly staff. If your staying a long time not much room to unpack you clothes, bed would recommend was real comfortable. Enjoyed our stay. Would stay again.

Right across the street from the beach. Rooms recently and beautifully remodeled. Upon arrival met a bunch of staff who were extremely nice and helpful. Devita the maintenance man was very nice and provided me all sorts of history regarding Hawaii. We definitely recommend this place.
