While this is an older hotel, everything was clean, and nice. We received room cleanings every other day. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were air-conditioned. The only draw back was that the bathroom sink was open to the room and the toilet and shower were separate. The space in the toilet-shower area was tight, so it might be difficult for people who need some privacy while getting ready. It did have a very nice min-fridge. The decor is almost nonexistent but the basics are there.
Mahalo to all the staff at the Maui Beach for welcoming our ohana for our father's celebration of life weekend. It was an emotional weekend for our family, (we had his celebration of life party at the Ballroom on site) and also rented a few rooms during the weekend as a hub for planning and organizing. With kids, adults, and lots of visitors in and out helping us with decor and other things for the party, the Maui Beach Hotel staff (especially the front desk and cleaning staff) were all so sweet and kind to us throughout our stay. We love how down to earth this hotel is, even with the changing times, and rising costs. My siblings and I are all born and raised on Maui but have all moved away to outer islands or the mainland, but we truly feel "at home" at Maui Beach Hotel. And for that, we say MAHALO. We will be back again for our next ohana meet-up on maui. All our aloha!…
We stayed at the Maui Beach Hotel, we selected to property because of its convenience to everything in Maui. We arrived in the evening and check in was smooth, the room was clean and all the amenities were in place. Parking was easy and close to access doors, we utilized the laundry on property which was a big plus. Rooms were clean and the price reasonable. We would recommend this property based on our experience. Ultimately we chose this property due to the reviews on Trip Advisor.
Five out of Five for what I wanted this hotel to be: a place to sleep in between Maui adventures. Despite the name, I didn't stay at this hotel for the beach. This hotel was perfectly situated to start our Maui vacation. This hotel was easy to get to from the airport, drop luggage ASAP and get on the road. We were less than an hour from the summit of Haleakala to go view the sunset. It was a convenient starting point for the Road to Hana which we drove on Day 2. And it was an even better starting point for our drive on the Kahekili Highway to see the Olivene Pools and the Nakalele Blowhole on our way to a different hotel in Ka'anapali. They had a pool table in a lobby, an easy station to fill up water bottles/camelbaks for hiking, free coffee in the morning with a great view, and a great location to some restaurants in Kahalui. I would definitely make this my base of operations for driving and adventure days in Maui but I wouldn't stay here as my primary resort if I was going to stay at the hotel all day. …
I have had great experience with ResortPass in the past, but this was not one of them. The view from the patio of the Maui Beach Hotel is great, but that is where the good experience ends. We arrived for our day room reservation (10a-6p) at about 10:30. Checkin was delayed as the whole staff was training on a new system. In total I had to visit the front desk three times to successfully checkin. The original time where I provided ID and credit card to pay for parking, a second time to rerun my credit card for parking (BTW, I could have parked 5 spaces away for free) and then a third time to sign for the room. None of the above was a big problem. My primary concern is that we paid for a day room so we could rest and even get a nap before our flight. However, once we got settled we realized their crew was drilling right above our room, 158. The staff promised the drilling would stop in an hour. It didn’t. We asked to be moved and they moved us to 271 (supposedly the furthest room away from the construction) and it was actually worse. So much for paying $245 to get rest. Unfortuantely it didn’t stop with that as there are several concerns with this hotel: 1. Too much noise to rest, defeating the whole purpose of a day room. 2. No extra towels to enjoy the pool. 3. Blanket not delivered that was requested and promised. 4. The beds in 271 (smallest “doubles” I have ever seen) had no support in the middle of the mattress, making you feel like you were laying in a lumpy cocoon. 5. When my wife finally did drift off to sleep the staff began calling the room repeatedly to run our card again. 6. The fitness center, which was advertised and I planned to use, is under renovation. 7. The beach next to the hotel is unkept. There is trash, pill bottles, discarded clothing, plastic shards and general debris. Fortunately, you can walk to the adjacent property where they care for their beach. I want to add, before posting this review, I did give them the opportunity to make it right. They did nothing. My advice… Go anywhere other than the Maui Beach Hotel. You would be better off resting your car, in the free parking space next door. …
This Maui trip was fun and the hotel accommodations were awesome. Nil was a great help and the shuttle driver helped us out a lot also. I definitely will be visiting and staying here again. It was a wonderful time!
Expensive, fees that dont make sense because They are not a resort. They dont even have salt to borrow and i paid 20 dólares to use the kitchen that did not have. Plástic plate. Check in wasent ready have to wait 2 hours
we were given a free "upgrade" from 1 king to 2 doubles, it was fine but would not recommend staying here unless you were coming from and going to the airport like us. The rooms were old, you can tell it was furnished a long while ago but it was comfortable and clean. We did not get the chance to enjoy the hotel restaurant or pool as we arrived late, but the courtyard was very nice, lots of beach chairs for great view.
Not at all what you think it would. The beach "access" was not at all what I would call Beach access. There was construction going on next door and construction workers staying at the hotel. The pool sucked and there was not internet.
The hotel is ideally located close to the airport and shopping mall. There are also several food places nearby. The complementary water bottles are a great personal touch. The staff was courteous and check-in was a breeze. The room is very tidy and adequate. The beach/ sea view was a treat. The lawns and surroundings are well kept. The mountain views are breathtaking and a perfect backdrop to start your day. We travelled with toddlers and this was a great choice for us. We will stay again! Thank you!
