This is not what I had hoped for. When we arrived in the middle of the afternoon the door to the office was locked. We had to ring the bell and eventually the desk person emerged from the back and let us in as she was dealing on the phone with a person who was asking for a refund. I did get a smile and comment from her when she saw we were from a city she had lived in. But there was very little communication between us. We were assigned a room upstairs which was fine but the stairs hadn’t been sweep or washed down in ages and the rail was a filthy wooden one that I didn’t want to touch. The room was small and the carpet was stained and threadbare. The light over the bathroom sink flickered and was quite annoying. The bed was pretty firm and the linens were a very low quality. Thin and flimsy. The pillows were filled with fiberfill I think it is called. Not much fill and a bit lumpy so the nights rest wasn’t the best. The motel is on the main road going through town so there is the sound of traffic and on the other side of the road is a train track. Trains passed by pretty regularly which actually didn’t bother me but it might disturb some people. I thought we were supposed to get breakfast but it wasn’t offered and I had no desire to eat there. So I didn’t ask about it. All in all it was not worth the amount I paid. Not by a long shot.

Need I say more? I work out of town every week, for the last 6 years. And I have NEVER had a bed bug problem until I stayed at the rodeway inn in Stevenson. I will be making efforts to get this dive taken off our corporate lodging list. If it looks bad-------it is bad

The owner was very accomodating--I lost my key within five minutes and he replaced it immediately. He was also having serious health problems with his back, so was stressed. However, lots of fishermen stay there, and I found a fishing line with a two barb hook on the carpet. I pricked my finger removing it, and can only imagine what might have happened if I had stepped on it. When I reported it the next morning, there was a real language problem. The clerk did not seem to realize it had been ON THE FLOOR of the room. I would, however, stay there again--rates were excellent and lodging is limited--, but I would certainly check the floor for hooks.

We stayed here five years ago, and the place was in dire need of small repairs, such as the curtains were falling off the walls by their hardware, threadbare carpet, etc. There was a homeless family working on making a new start in life that were staying as well. It was the overall atmosphere of desperation that struck me and I felt compassion for the dire situation things were in. You could stay here a week and have enough material to write a John Steinbeck novel.
Well, based on fresh photos on the website we booked another stay this past week. However, the minute I opened the door to the room I knew that nothing had changed. The broken lampshade, the oversized bedspread dragging on the floor, the rumpled curtains, the dubious cleaning job of the toilet, the lack of hair dryer and hangers, the worn out flooring, the walls needing fresh paint....it was all so sad to see. I wanted to take the workers on a quick shopping trip to Kmart for paint, lamps, curtains, bedspreads. We canceled our stay. I'm not sure why things aren't nice. It must be hard for the workers to have pride in their positions, working with such conditions. I'm advocating for the owner to come take a look at their property and its condition and make major renovations or tear it all down and start anew. It's embarrassingly dismal. The staff were kind and apologized for the condition of the room. We we asked if all the rooms were in this condition, or were there better rooms available? They said no. All rooms were in this condition.

I have not had this horrible of a room in 20 years! Thin stained towels, filthy carpet, hair in the bathtub, used pod in the coffee pot and not one square of toilet paper. To check in early evening, you have to ring the doorbell,wait and someone eventually unlocks the door. The same process applies if you need toilet paper. I wore my socks to bed; just could not bring myself to put my feet on the floor. Outrage price too.....$ 120 for my sister and I on a weeknight.

I stayed here for 2 nights. Photos displayed on the website are an entire lie. Bed was nice, very comfortable. Other than that, the place was horrible. We stayed in room 118, and the first thing I was greeted by were bugs flying around the room. We had no toilet paper in our room. The bathroom was dirty and the floors were sticky. The wifi was a disgrace, "high-speed internet" I think not. We had limited cable channels. They must've only booked us for 1 night because an employee came into our room on our 2nd day and said, "Are you supposed to be in here?" Later, 1 of the lightbulbs above the sink went out. On the evening of our 2nd day our room card stopped working, so we had to walk to the check-in and get a new one. Theres many people out late at night smoking aswell. Leftover caution tape hanging on the stairway. I would've rather slept in a ditch than stayed here. Rodeway Inn? More like Rodekill Inn!

It's great to hear that the beds were nice and comfortable, however, I do regret that you experienced several shortcomings during your stay. I hope you will accept our sincerest apologies for the cleanliness, wifi, light bulbs and these maintenance mishaps that you have encountered and that you did not receive immediate action regarding the necessity of correcting such issues as quickly as possible. Fortunately, the pest control experts that we employed to complete the thorough inspection following your complaint discovered no evidence of bedbugs in any of our rooms. However, each room were still treated with a bed bug heater for precaution. I hope you will find your expectations to be far surpassed during your next visit!

We literally were in the hotel room for 20 mins maybe... we looked around and didn’t want to even get comfortable. There was a hair tie left in the shower, popcorn on the floor, other crumbs on the alarm clock, the alarm clock also started going off. Did not feel clean at all. We left and got our money back right away

I loved my room at the Rodeway Inn in Stevenson, WA, when I stayed there August 1st, 2021. I decided to stay another night on Aug. 2nd because I enjoyed my stay so much. The staff were friendly and the room was super clean. I loved the jaccuzi tub, kitchenette and comfy bed! I would recommend staying here and will be back. Thank you Rodeway Inn, Stevenson!

Stayed there on a trip with my brother. I had one room and he had another. The room looked nothing like the pictures. There was no one at the front desk. We had to ring a bell. She came and gave us our two keys and that was it. Like she wanted us to hurry and get out so she could go back to her TV. Once we got to our rooms, I tried the light switch by the door. Nothing. Had to leave the door open so I could hunt around for a light. If there had been another hotel close by, I would have left right then. There was coffee spilled on the counter in the bathroom. The carpet looks like it has not been cleaned since it was put in. There was a strange spot on the sheets. Spots on the nightstand. And the bedding was for a king size bed not a queen. And there was no trash can to throw anything away. When we checked out, the front office was still closed. Just left the key and was happy to get out of there!

Really the only game in town if you are on a budget. We reserved a bank of rooms for a family function--ten in all. The motel is very neat and clean, and the management is friendly and helpful. All the family members staying in the motel were pleased with their accomodations. There were no complaints. The beds are firm and comfortable and the rooms are squeaky clean. We were a bit concerned because of the proximity of the railroad, but the rooms are quiet. We could feel the train if we were awake, but it was not a proble. The pillows could be more comfortable. The simple continental breakfast is frosting on the cake.
