We stayed in this hotel back in 2019 and it wasn't terrible. Somewhere in the last 5 years everything went downhill. When we arrived at the airport, we called for the shuttle. She told us to go to an island with a letter and number. When I asked for clarification, she said "I need a letter and a number." I explained I am not from the area, and do not know this airport at all, could she clarify where I am supposed to go? Once I found the right direction, I told her where I was. She said she will send the shuttle. We waited 20 mins without any sight of the van. I called again, with the same location. She said she sent him, and will send him again. We waited another 20 mins before deciding to walk to the hotel. Once we arrived, she was very short with the couple in front of us, and wasn't any nicer to us. When I told her we shipped a box to the hotel for pick up, she didn't respond. She handed my key to me and told me where the elevator was. I said, "and my box-" she told me not to yell at her because it's in the back. She opened the office door and kicked our box to us. Room was fine. Ginger Palace is wonderful to talk to and their food is good enough. We will be making a former complaint in the morning about the front desk behavior.

Staff not friendly, seemed to be bothered that I was trying to check in. and all room areas smell like weed, the parking enforcement there will try to charge you to park even if you are staying at this hotel.

I had stayed here a few years ago, coming in the night before to catch a very early flight out. I take the Link in from town, and then call the shuttle to pick me up from the airport (which is under major construction once again). It was terrific that time. This time, I phoned from the sky bridge leading to the pick up area to determine where to stand for pick-up. The woman answering was abrupt, advised me to go downstairs and pick a location and then let her know. Since I was on the sky bridge already, and 30 seconds from being downstairs I asked if she wanted to hold on for a minute, or should I call her back. She’d already hung up. No goodbye, nothing. 30 seconds later, I called her - the phone rang and rang, called her repeatedly. Called her from my cell. Pausing, and then called her separately from the airport phone, which rang to a busy (I’m sure I had the other line tied up with my cell). Tried repeatedly for about 10 minutes, she finally answered, again very abrupt. I told her our location - 5D. I’ll send someone..I think she said before she abruptly hung up. We waited. And waited. DId I mention we were experiencing gale force winds, blizzards in the passes, etc. so very cold as we waited some more. Finally, a very nice shuttle driver pulled up - he said she’d said “B”! I explained I’d said D, he commented that she doesn’t listen very well. (Surprised am I?). While I can see the opportunity for a mistake, she should have verified - B Boy, or D David? I’m thinking….well she must be really busy. So we ask the shuttle guy if they’ve been busy that day - no, in fact it’s unusually slow! We walk into the lobby - she’s in the “restaurant/bar” hanging out - nobody in the lobby. Nobody. She comes in behind the desk and says “I need to see ID and a credit card” and I clearly begin pulling my wallet from my purse, advising her we can use the same card I placed the online reservation with. I can’t see that, she snaps at me. I need ID and a credit card. I provide, and she gives us room 207. We make our way up the elevator to our room - right next to the elevator. The keys she just created don’t work. I leave my partner with the luggage and go back down. I explain, and she responds “what room?” Takes the keys and re-keys. Here you go, she finishes. No apology, nothing. So I go back up. Neither key works.. This time my partner goes down. She’s no more pleasant to him. This time the key works and we go into a room that is apparently in the middle of a re-model. There’s a stack of wall art on the floor against the wall, the carpets are matted (as in, don’t go barefooted-that looks like some kind of gum or solid something, white stuff here and there like it hasn’t been vacuumed)….the single stuffed chair was soiled, but the bed itself is lovely and fresh. Nice linens, great mattress and blankets. The linens in the bathroom are great - like new. The bathroom smells of bleach and urine. I tried to turn down the heat in the night, only to discover it wasn’t on. There is however a window. Did I mention we are located in a room with the window facing the highway? There is a gigantic hotel, essentially empty from what I can tell (and from what I gleaned from the shuttle drive, and the empty lobby and restaurant) and she puts us in a dirty room facing the busiest place she possibly can - the road and the airport (the airport I understand…you expect plane noise)..We eat downstairs in the Ginger Palace (?) a family run restaurant where the mother is caring for the infant at the front, and there is some kind of baby stroller/carrier contraption as you walk into the small place., and at one point she goes by with her baby in one arm, and the other pulling a luggage carrier with 3 black garbage bags sitting on it…..maybe she’s folding towels in the back? The apparent owner/manager was very pleasant as he served us. It was freezing in there as there isn’t a wall that is floor to ceiling, so whenever anybody enters the hotel the slides open, and the freezing winds come in through the common partition. Our front desk person came in a couple of times as we were eating, apparently just to hang out for a few minutes. Maybe she was trying to get warm. While there is a little area in the lobby with a gas fireplace and seating, the fireplace was not lit (perhaps they couldn’t keep it lit with so much wind). Anyway, the next morning we were up early to catch the 5:30 AM shuttle. Nobody at the front desk- just a sign saying where to drop your key. As we stood there waiting for the shuttle, the phone rang and rang - with nobody to answer it. It was essentially a miserable ,unpleasant experience.

Unfriendly check-in/check-out staff. Paper thin walls. Did not accommodate request for a quiet room. Next to a loud speaking couple that were fornicating all night. There were rooms on the flor that appeared to be unoccupied, yet was given a room with loud neighbors.

We stayed here for two nights in December. Pros: - Comfortable bed - Decent price. - Close to the airport, and free airport shuttle (if you can get it). Cons: - We certainly didn’t feel welcome. The staff all seemed to be grumpy. When I called from the airport to get the shuttle, they seemed very annoyed, and refused to consider sending the shuttle until we were literally waiting outside in the cold. They also hung up on me. - Rooms aren’t in the best of condition, due to age. - The cable channels were iffy – many were fuzzy. And every time you turn it on it puts on Fox News?? Yuck! We don't go to a hotel to be indoctrinated. - Rooms have no microwave. When you go to the front desk, there is almost always nobody there. Try banging on the glass to get attention. I’m not sure whether there is a pool or gym – we didn’t check for either. We also didn’t inquire about breakfast, so can’t advise on that. We’d consider staying here again.

When I arrived at the airport, I called the front desk to arrange the airport shuttle. The woman at reception was incredibly rude and abruptly ended the phone call by hanging up on me. When I called back two more times to attempt to confirm that there was indeed a shuttle coming to pick me up, I was twice again hung up on. The third time I called, she yelled at me for calling and hung up again. At that point, I would have preferred to have my money refunded and to have gone elsewhere. However, there is no such policy that would allow that to be an option, even if you have been abused by the staff. So yeah, come here if you feel like being treated like sh*t and yelled at by a receptionist. Also, the room was very dirty. The floors are grimy, there's miscellaneous small pieces of trash collecting dust, and the bathroom was absolutely vile. The wallpaper is taped down. 0/10 don't recommend Photo 1: image of the dirty hospital bathroom shower Photo 2: image of uncleaned headboard on bed showing dust buildup, a small polished stone (?) and an old broken rubber band Photo 3: image of bathroom wallpaper literally taped to the wall Photo 4: a close-up of the unvacuumed carpet showing what I think is a small piece of cereal left by a previous occupant Photo 5: image of stained wall Photo 6: image of shower drain. I didn't dare take a shower for fear of grime.

The staff was polite and professional, the room was questionable. The bathroom floor tile and grout looked moldy, I wouldn’t walk or bathe barefoot in there. The wall heater was noisy and outdated, and 24/7 exterior floodlights were just outside my window. The building is old, worn, and in need of some serious renovations. Unfortunately the location does not make up for the condition of the property.

Given some of the other reviews I was a little weary of the hotel. However my stay was perfect. Room was large and clean. 24/7 airport shuttle which picked me up after about a 10 minute wait. Beds were very comfortable. The hotel isn't somewhere you'd want to spend a long vacation, but it's fine for a night before a flight

Stayed here overnight so we could catch an early morning flight. Wouldn't recommend people stay here. Hotel has a bad overall vibe, starting with the bullet proof glass separating folks checking in from the clerk. Room was just ... grim. Hotel was far from full, but we were put in a room with a weird tiny window in the corner of the room. Furniture was too gross to sit on. Hung out at the bar in the restaurant just to avoid spending more time in our room.

Actually I booked this hotel for my next trip, but cancelled due to poor service. I called to inquire airport shuttle service, but a lady in front desk picked up a phone and listened me and just hung off the phone. I called again, but picked up and hung off right away. What a poor customer service, even before arriving there. :(
