The hotel was modern, clean, close to Portland and convenient for travel to Columbia Gorge area. The front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. I stayed on a weekend and the hotel was quiet at night. I would definitely stay here again.

I read other reviews of this hotel that were dated back in the beginning stages of "COVID." They made comments about staff not wearing masks. Now we are hopefully geetting away from the need to "mask up" since CDC says they aren't necessary for vaccinated people or those with anibodies, but every staff person we saw had one on and I wish they would take them off. I'm tired of MASKS!

Anyway, the hotel seemed clean, pretty new, bed was comfy, but we booked a King room about 5 months in advance. When we arrived around 6:15p we were told that they had "oversold" the King rooms and all they had left was a Queen bed. (It turned out to be two Queen beds, so it worked out okay.) We had to go back down to the front desk later because one of our keys didn't work and I heard her check in another woman after us, and she was placed in a King room. So..... I'm not sure about their policies for when they book rooms, but something wasn't right about this situation.

Another disappointing thing about hotels and COVID, is that they all say they are providing "breakfast" but what you get in many is a "grab and go" bag of some kind, not the breakfast they used to serve.. We know it's possible for them to serve breakfast because every once in a while we run into one that just has a server get you what you want from the breakfast options they have alsways offered. It has worked well for those that try it. Thesse "grab and go" things usually don't even give you the option of what you get in your bag. So if you don't like it, they food is wasted. This hotel at least gives you some options which you will choose from a sheet they give you when you check in. They prepare the bags and you pick them up in the morning. If you chose a breakfast sandwich, be sure you plan to heat it in your room as it's cold when you get your bag.

This hotel is on the edge of an office park and the area is very new. A few blocks down was a Costco store with a gas station, so it's convenient to fill-up.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for two nights in early January and it was a very pleasant stay. They hotel is fairly new with many modern design elements and amenities in the room to make for a comfortable stay. The common areas are well decorated and the free breakfast was better than most. The staff was very friendly and helpful with advice. The hotel is walking distance from a number of restaurants and bars in the area. My only areas for improvement with this hotel are to improve the water pressure in the shower and also to allow for a hotter water temperature in the shower. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean hotel. Staff are very nice and provide tremendous customer service.
Their daily breakfast is outstanding with a good selection.
They offer complimentary washer and dryer (but only 1 each so plan accordingly).
It’s located in a great area with shopping and restaurants very near by.

Staying at Holiday Inn Express Camas for 4 nights has been a great choice. The hotel is relatively new and very clean. It is centrally located close to eateries, shops and interstate exits. Shoutout to the welcoming friendly smile from Richard at the front desk and Lou at the breakfast bar. The hotel also offers a wide variety of hot and cold breakfast. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

We stayed several nights in this hotel to visit our daughter and family who live in Camas. We travel a lot and often stay in Holliday Inns. This one is brand new with very nice spacious rooms and very nice staff. We may stay here again. However, We stayed during the pandemic and were quite shocked that no staff wore face masks and were often huddled together chatting. There was a plastic shield at the front desk but frankly the staff did not seem to be trained in how to take required precautions. They were all very friendly so I blame the management. We even had a staff member, un masked, join us in the elevator after I indicated I would be more comfortable if she would not.
I hope that this situation changes soon as we did not feel safe. Otherwise it’s a lovely hotel.

When I checked in I was given a king room and had to argue with the check in person about the fact that I had booked a two queen accommodation.. They weren’t going to rectify the situation until I told them I had a printed copy of my reservation showing what I had actually booked. They did laugh when I asked that someone bring up a key for the new room so,I wouldn’t have to go back down with my luggage. Not a huge deal but I would have preferred not to have to. The real reason I picked this hotel aside from location was the fact that it has an indoor pool. Said pool was freezing cold and unusable. Very disappointing. The hotel itself is really nice but I feel like service is lacking and amenities a letdown.

A very nice, newer hotel in a good location. We stayed here only one night after flying into Portland. So, we basically just slept here and ate the limited breakfast offering in the morning. The rooms are small but clean. The check in was easy and fast. Nice hotel overall and am only giving 4 stars because it was extraordinary. It was an above average hotel.

Really underwhelming. No acknowledgement of elite status, no complimentary room upgrade for my platinum status. Front desk staff knocked on my door with the crib I requested. It turned out that the crib was already in our room, but then he said that "it was brought to my attention that you have a pet". We did not have a pet. I only checked in 5 minutes before they came up, so it was a very confusing interaction. The only good things I can state is that the room was modern and clean. There are definitely better options in the area.

My husband and I stayed here at the beginning and end of our road trip, beginning of July and beginning of August. After the roller-coaster ride we had even getting to the US (Icelandair, never again!) and the ups and downs of a number of stops at HIEs in the US, the return to here was most welcome before we flew home. Did not get off to a great start though, nobody on reception for 10 minutes when we first arrived tired from the plane journey via Iceland. Safe was not working, and although someone came to look at it , when we returned in August it still was not working (we had the same room on the ground floor). On our second stay, first day out we returned to find no toilet paper at all in the room, had to use tissues and then go to reception to get supplies!!!!! Same the next day, not sure what they were doing in housekeeping - making papier mache?. Nevertheless, reception staff always helped and with good humour. Two days the breakfast supplies were low, no bread, as the ordering process had fouled up. Now you may think I am a grumbling old fool, but little things take on great importance when you are away from home.

On the absolute plus side, the staff were very friendly and always able to help out. Brianne on reception was most helpful one day, breakfast staff were great, the room was spotless (despite no toilet paper) and everywhere was clean. Quiet at night, so a good sleep. Thanks also to other guests for being so friendly over breakfast, the whole place had a lovely atmosphere. It is a new hotel and so there are bound to be teething problems, but the staff always made sure things were addressed when we raised them, hence 4 star rating. If we were to visit this area again we would definitely stay here. Staff and overall accommodation made the visits 5 star really, but it just let itself down with the lack of toilet paper (an essential folks), so 4 star rating.
