We stayed at Arena Beach for 4 nights, we arrived home last Friday.
Food
Lots of choice at all mealtimes, I can understand why some may think it’s repetitive but there is only so many things you can do with a piece of meat/veg! Food was very fresh and was replenished frequently. Only negative would be, it’s quite hard to find somewhere to sit as there isn’t enough space for everyone.
Entertainment
Started at 8.30 with a mini disco and the main entertainment doesn’t start until 9.30. Personally for us we felt it started to late but that said we did enjoy the entertainment for 2 nights as we wanted to see what was on offer.
Pool
The main pool was absolutely freezing!!! I would say it’s definitely below zero degrees, not great when you want to swim lengths but I can imagine in peak season it would get warmer with the sun. Loungers were not an issue, top tip- if you want the sun all day long, get a bed on the same side as the pool bar :-)
Location
Only a 15 minute walk to the main strip with loads of shops, restaurants, beach and harbour.
Rooms
Yes, they are basic but they are kept immaculately clean and we didn’t have any issues at all.
All staff were really friendly and made you feel very welcome, I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Arena Beach.

Just returned from a lovely relaxing holiday at the Arena beach hotel. 2ad,1 85yr old and 16yr old. Flew with EasyJet only 12 people on our flight out and about 25-30 on return. We should have been staying at the oasis papagayo just round the corner but due to limited numbers of guests it wasn’t going to be open on time for our holiday so they kindly put us up here instead. Cab from airport for 4 cost around 40€ And takes 20-30mins. Due to limited number of guests there was rarely a queue at the bar which is a bonus, good variety of food, cooked breakfast plus continental breakfast, yoghurts, cereal, toast, pancakes & omelettes and an abundance of fruit, cakes, deserts. Lunch, salads, chicken, pork, Beef, fish, pasta (Bolognese, carbonara) plus cold pasta dishes, paella, risottos. Similar Variations at dinner time too. Drinks were good and self service coffee, fizzy drinks and water. Only thing you don’t get are bottles of water in your room. We hired pool towels (10€ deposit) all rooms have aircon which we needed as it got to 39° some days. Staff are really polite friendly and welcoming. Entertainment team were good they had darts, rifle shooting, sjoelen (board game) pool games, pool, evening entertainment inc bingo, quizzes, karaoke, cocktail demonstrations (Canarian sagria is good!)Social distancing measures were in place throughout the resort. Masks had to be worn if not seated at a table while eating/drinking or by pool. Everything was sanitised frequently including pool side, sun beds and pool/ restaurant furniture. You also HAVE to wear masks wherever you go outside of the resorts. So much more organised than here in UK. Rooms were nice bright and clean as was the rest of the hotel Some rooms are interconnecting, apartments are low level with accessible rooms as well. Pool is also fully accessible with a ramp into water.maids (who are lovely) came daily. With fresh towels. 10-15 min walk to beach but we didn’t go. Cab into town €4 max, loads of shops, restaurants. Local water park is closed and looks as though it’s been closed for a while. Overall we had a relaxing two weeks and couldn’t find a fault with it.

Me, my partner & my little boy have just got back a few days ago from a week in this hotel & we really cannot fault it. We had a 1 bed apartment right by the main pool which was handy for running in & out with our little one! It was kept clean with fresh towels when asked. The grounds are truly kept amazing & make the complex so much nicer. Pool appeared to be kept clean everyday & although when you origionally get in they're a little cold you quickly adapt.
Food was good with plenty of choice & I like that the drinks were ALL open at all times as some hotels dont allow Pepsi etc at breakfast. If I had 1 little thing they could improve on it would be to keep fish dishes all together to one side as myself an my partner both have allergies so we was very sceptical to get any dish that was near to them incase of any being splashed etc which meant we missed out on a good few dishes so eat out.
Due to going during covid the hotel for our first 5 days was very very quiet but we absolutely loved it. It was very well kept always cleaning & temperatures was taken before meals an hand gels was everywhere.
There was not much entertainment at all which was a little bit of a downfall. This may be due to covid which we understand but even just a couple of nights with something would of been nice. Or something for the kids as there literally wasnt anything during our stay so we found nights dull in the hotel an wondered out which meant we lost out on use of all inclusive again.
One negative point I did have about this hotel is that we wanted to request late checkout due to our little boy only being 1 and our flight was 8.30pm we needed it. We asked upon arrival & was told to ask 48hours before leaving. We then went to ask 48hours before & was told to come back the day we was leaving to be told if we can get late checkout. This to me is ridiculous because how can you plan anything around that ? Luckily we chanced our luck 24hours before an had a new lady on reception who had no hesitation & said no problem. We paid 30€ to have late checkout which was 3pm. It's such a shame that they cant manage that situation better and save people the worry they may not have it. Especially when we had emailed to request it weeks before we even went ! We was willing to pay and it's an added slap in the face when its clear the hotel east quiet due to the current pandemic also so I feel that could be improved.
All in all our stay was lovely an we did really enjoy our holiday. The staff was great with our little one & we would 100% reccomend this hotel for the price it costs. We will certainly be back and thank all staff for a lovely stay.
All in all our stay was lovely and we would deffinitely reccomend. Deffinitely a family hotel and the kids pool is great to help keep them busy an have some space.

Where to start?
On arrival, we were greeted with a very warm welcome by very pleasant reception staff. We arrive at 11am, and unfortunately our room wasn't going to be ready til 3, so we had to leave our suitcases in reception, and go explore. We ended up sitting next to the very inviting main pool, with a nice cold drink from the bar. Finally, our room was ready. For a 3 star hotel, the rooms are lovely. Unfortunately, the air-conditioning didn't work, and the water was brown from the shower, so we were given a new room without any hesitations.
The new room was lovely. The bath was a bit knackered, the shower screen had been painted to the bath, but it wasn't something to complain about. We did have to get maintenance out as when we flushed the toilet, it came up the bath 😳, but they were very efficient and the issue was resolved very quickly.
The outside areas are very well kept and clean, just like the rooms.
Masks are to be worn at all times, apart from next to the pool, eating, or in your own room. There is an abundance of hand gel available..... overall, we felt safer here than in the UK.
We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather, and it was made even more enjoyable by the amazing staff
Ana and Jordi especially....... brilliant cocktails!
The entertainment staff work very hard too, there's always something to do.
There is a children's pool area, but myself and my daughter (14) mainly used the big pool
Not going to deny, it was cold, but we had 40°c heat, so it was very welcomed!
The food was great. We tried lots of new things, asqell as some bit that we knew from home. The paella is definitely a MUST, gorgeous. Sometimes I thought the chef was in a hurry to use about 6 cloves of garlic in some dishes, but it was all lovely. Served from behind glass screens, also very safe
We did have a couple of cockroaches in the room, but for a 3☆ hotel, it's not a big deal.
Overall, a brilliant holiday, was just the break we needed. Thankyou for making our stay great!

The Arena Beach didn’t disappoint, from the minute we arrived to the minute we left everything was perfect. Reception was spotless and check in was prompt and efficient. Our room was spotless and everything worked as described. The room was cleaned everyday and linen and towels changed as described when we checked in. The pool area was also spotless and there are more than enough sun beds and umbrellas. There was a great selection of different foods at all meal times and tables were cleared promptly by the staff. And the staff at the pool bar were always happy, friendly and we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to be served.
All in all this was a perfect holiday and we cannot complain about a single thing and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Returned at the weekend after 10 days all inclusive, the hotel is nice, the rooms require updating and some obvious investment. Some more storage wouldn't go a miss and maybe a shelf in the bathroom. The hotel has not fully transitioned from self catering to all inclusive and the kitchenet in the room was wasted on us. We opted to sleep on the sofa bed and let the kids have the separate room to ensure they slept well, the sofa bed is not a good nights sleep.
We changed rooms immediately upon arrival as the room assigned to us was clearly smoked in and was stained with the stench, they re-roomed us well and we appreciated the manner this was handled.
Removing ash trays for the non smokers may seem a little obvious but these little things go a long way and should be observed.
Food was acceptable and plentiful, the staff where helpful but a little clumsy during meal times and would remove empty plates from in front of you even while others on the table had not finished. Not a huge problem but there where occasions when their time could've been better spent clearing and preparing empty tables than removing plates from tables still being used.
By far though the biggest let down for this particular location was the clientele that inhabited it. Every day, litter everywhere. I guess this could've been just bad timing and the guests there during our stay was coincidental but I found myself on multiple occasions picking up other peoples left cups and putting them in the bin that where literally next to the pool side. For the first few days we where constantly woken in the middle of the night by crying babies and "frustrated" parents doing their best to calm their children - yes the walls aren't very thick!
8 days in I was abruptly awoken by loud banging, crashing and slamming doors as the room next to us got up just after 6am to head to the pool and secure 14 beds for them and their party!!!
Securing poolside beds was not a problem at all up until this point, and to be fair to the hotel, they acted on this instantly and dealt some much needed karma to the newcomers and their premature sun bed acquisitioning! The pool guy earnt a tip for his efforts and the premature bedroom evacuators did not repeat their error thereafter and this had a positive knock on affect for all the sheep that tried the same.
Pool side politics was not much of a problem for us as we enjoyed spending time around the lovely town and beaches of Corralejo which is definitely worth visiting for sights and food and the nearby Aqua Park kept the kids entertained for a few days. The sand dunes is a good adventure and worth seeing, but be warned crossing the road to the beaches and the hotels nearby, there are naturists along the way, so be prepared for your kids to do a lot of giggling.
3 star is probably the right rating for this hotel and holiday in general, one visit is enough for us.

After a few issues with our bathroom when we arrived, which were quickly fixed by the maid and the maintenance man. The hotel is nice and clean. Has a decent variety of food for meals and very nice and fresh salad items at each service including breakfast. Meat has always been well cooked and have even seen a chef refuse to serve guests when meat wasn't quite ready. The pool is not heated so it's glacial right now (Feb). The bar staff, restaurant staff and activity staff work hard all day. There isn't much going on at night I. The resort and you have only 2 English news channels to watch if you pay the 10 euro deposit for a remote for your room. Also no Aircon without a remote control. Rooms come with a kitchen for those not all inclusive. Variety of visitors tot he hotel from different countries. Not too bad for sunbeds, you just have to go search for the comfortable pads to go on them which are away from the main pool. Pool bar has serve yourself soft drinks and juices and a 3 drinks at a time limit. Our room 150 had a large sofa bed in the living/kitchen are and also 2 single beds in the bedroom. The rooms opposite this block don't get any sun all day and are in the shade 153-160 and the apartments above that block (may be different at different time of year but no sun on them at all in Feb). The dining room is very warm and it's only Feb at every meal but there is an outdoor seating area you can eat at (think this is really the overspill for peak season).
Hotel isn't too far from a small shopping centre with branded shops including intersport, disegual etc, and a number of bars if you get bored of all inclusive or need a top up. There is also a supermarket hiper dino within the complex.
About 20mins steady pace to main strip of shops with frunde grube, Zara, spar Euromarket, 5th avenue etc. Also a burger king on same street Lots of bars and restaurants if you fancy a change from the all inclusive holiday.
Room update: on out last morning whilst having a shower cockroaches appeared from the bathroom door frame climbing up the bathroom walls.
Air-conditioning; you don't need the remote for 10 euros there is a small panel in the ceiling above just before the bathroom/bedroom door. Push the button and the air-conditioning will come on us the other arrows to increase speed/temp

Stayed at the Arena beach with my 17 year old daughter for 10 nights from 25th July. Credit to all the staff from the reception, to the restaurant, cleaners and entertainers, even though you can't see a smile when someones got a face mask on, eyes can smile. We found the food in the restaurant to be faultless, there was a wide selection of dishes at each meal and it was never cold... the restaurant staff were great, efficient and followed covid procedures.
The entertainment team Thaer and Julia were especially lovely.. encouraging people to join in, both super friendly and great at what they do.
We found the hotel to be spotlessly clean and the pool area was regularly sprayed with disinfectant by the lifeguards. A holiday is what you make it and under the current circumstances I think the Arena Beach staff did an amazing job and i wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.. the only let down being a minority of other guests... no reflection on the hotel itself...

Just returned from 3 wonderful weeks staying in this great hotel which is brilliant for a 3 star. Check in was quick & efficient. You pay a deposite for the remotes for tv & aircon but get it back on checkout & can hire beach towels for a couple of euros. Room was spacious 251 overlooking main pool with big fridge, tea making facilities, tv with english channels, good size bathroom with shower gel, plenty of storage space in bedroom & immaculately clean. Maid every other day plenty of clean towels & bed changed often. Food was very good always a choice of meats, fish, pasta etc & very good salad bar. Christmas & New Year Gala Dinners were exceptional with lobster, prawns, crab, salmon, you name it we got it & plenty of wine or cava, both were wonderful as good as any 5 star we have stayed in. Roger, Omar, Andre & our dancing queen Marycielo were wonderful staff, always smiling, helpful, efficient & hardworking in the Restaurant. Although the upstairs Bar was small we were served quickly, Max & Manuel even knew our drinks before asking for them what excellent & efficient waiters very capable. The drinks were fine with all the Spanish equivalent available like Baileys & Tia Maria which I enjoyed. The entertainment varied between visiting artists who were good & the lovely Valentina & Camila who worked so hard with the children & in the Bar, they were happy smiling, always full of energy with great personalities mixing with everyone. Two beautiful & pleasant young ladies. The grounds & Hotel throughout were very clean. Pool Bar open from 10 - 6pm, main pool not heated but childrens pool warmer. The Hotel is in a quiet residential area 10 mins walk to shopping mall with shops bars restaurants, 15 mins walk to lovely beach, 20 mins walk into town centre with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants. Bus terminal 10 mins away to various locations. We loved the location & walked different areas each day. This hotel punches above its 3 star rating, the main asset being all its friendly staff providing an excellent service throughout. Would definitely recommend & will be returning in the future.

As a family of 6 we stayed here for 10 days all inclusive from 14th December and can only praise the hotel and all the staff. Rooms were great we stayed in 413 and 414 lovely and clean and comfortable. The food was always delicious and a great selection. Staff were so friendly and helpful made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. My partners aunt came with us and I had emailed the hotel before we travelled asking if there was anywhere local to hire a wheelchair as she can walk but not very far and they replied they would sort it for me and a wheelchair would be waiting for us upon arrival which it was. Entertainment was great the kids had fun but so did us adults. Hotel situated only 5 min walk to nearest shopping centre 7 mins to beach and 15 min walk to town centre. We are hoping to return again in March 2020. Definitely would recommend this place
