The Barcelo Corralejo Bay hotel garners praise for its prime location near beaches and the town center, which facilitates easy exploration of local sights. While the rooms impress with their cleanliness and comfort, a few guests suggest updates and report occasional noise disturbances. Despite the mixed reviews on noise levels and extra charges for certain amenities, the hotel's overall cleanliness and range of facilities, including a spa and entertainment options, are well-regarded. Guests consistently commend the hotel's attentive staff and vibrant atmosphere, although some prefer quieter quarters.

We enjoyed a week from Christmas Eve to New Year's Eve on half board in this very good, adults only hotel in a quiet location that is only a very short walk from both a lovely white sand beach and the main shopping street. Check in and check out were both efficient, staff are friendly, bedrooms and public areas are kept very clean, the pool area is well managed - plenty of sunbeds, towels removed if beds not in use - and one pool is heated. Other facilities, including the spa and gym, are good. Evening entertainment was good, a couple of times very good, and appropriate for the age range of most guests. Now the one disappointment! We had evening meals in the buffet restaurant and with the exception of the gala buffet on Christmas Day the variety and quality of food disappointed us. Freshly cooked, thin slices of pork, lamb or chicken and of beef in particular were usually tough while some fish slices were bony or tasteless. Some hot stew type alternatives were available. Theme evenings included only a few extra, probably cooked from frozen, Asian or Mexican choices. Occasionally there were shellfish, prawn or squid dishes but on one evening what looked like paella was in fact a dry vegetable rice 'decorated' with shellfish on top so not cooked together and moist as it should be and was for the gala buffet. Desserts were OK and with some effort we always found 3 courses of something to eat. Finally the wine list provides information about only the colour, price and name of each wine so nothing about character, alcohol strength, origin from a region of Spain or another country etc. Overall we enjoyed our stay and may come here again but a hotel that does everything else so well should put more effort (and budget?) into the main meal of the day if it wants to delight customers and excel in its 4 star category.

This is an excellent hotel, great location and very high quality. Very nice atriums with plants between rooms. The rooms are very good, mind you the beds are twins not doubles, the bathroom is excellent, nice big rain shower, his and her washbasins. We had a delux twin room. I was surprised to have to pay €3 per day to activate the safe in the room, I would expect the safe to be included in a 4 star hotel.

There are two swimming pools but the bigger one is not heated which made it cool in January! The smaller pool is heated. The area around the pool is very nice, plenty of sun loungers, very clean area.

The Wellness centre is excellent, lots of different showers, 9 I think, mostly cold or tepid, but very refreshing and lots of variety, sprays, rain showers, power showers - you walk through from 1-9. Then more plunge pools, steam room, sauna. Had a great back massage too.

The hotel is in a very good location, only 150m to the beach. Turn right and head South along the beaches, watch out for the white coral (popcorn) beach. You can walk all the way to the dunes. Watch out for nudists ;-)

Turn left and head into Corralejo town and port. Both lovely walks.

But the beaches are not great for swimming in my opinion. Very rocky and those that have sand have big waves and for strong swimmers only. The beach nearest the town is closed for swimming due to Algae.

The big disappointment with the Barcelo Bay hotel is the food. It is a buffet setup which has lots and lots of variety and selections but the food is just not hot enough. And the veg looks overcooked and limp (but I found this to be common in the restaurants down town too!). I found the best way to eat was to position youself where you can see the two chefs cooking live and when they put out a new disk of food on display, jump up and take a small portion. Wait for another live cook and up you go again. Makes dinner time more entertaining! Staff are very friendly throughout.

Overall a good experience, adults only hotel which is nice, older set, pity about the food.

Dear guest, Thank you for making our Barceló Corralejo Bay your choice hotel again and for your feedback to the travel community of TripAdvisor. Our kitchen staff are constantly checking all trays of our buffets to ensure that the temperature of the food is adequate and that all options are being replenished throughout all services, nevertheless please rest assured that your comments will be shared with the team so as to avoid receiving this kind of feedback in the future. For a future, do not hesitate to report us at the reception desk your preferences for a double bed, which we will change it immediately. Guest satisfaction is our main goal and there is nothing better than achieving that. We are happy our Hotel, mainly the room, spa and location were able to meet all your needs during your stay. Finally, about your safe comments, we do have a contract with an external company who provides the safes, change them when they are broken, etc. We are agree that it might be rare to charge for this service and I can understand that some people consider it should be a free service although we need to honor actual agreements. Thank you once again for making us your choice hotel and for your constructive critics, we certainly look forward to serving you again and to have the opportunity to exceed you expectations in a not too distant future. We needed an escape from the cold of England and the Covid restrictions and the Barcelo Corralejo Bay was just perfect especially as it was for adults only. The room was lovely with a spacious balcony, overlooking the pool. Comfortable beds with lots of pillows. A walk-in shower and amenities provided. I did wonder at the rather excessive daily charge to use the safe which I would have expected to be included in the room rate or a nominal fee for the duration of your stay.
All of the staff, without exception, were smiling, helpful and friendly. Every possible precaution was taken to make it as Covid safe as possible, with masks worn by staff and guests at all times, and sanitiser stations positioned at frequent points.
Bearing in mind that the number of guests was well down on the hotel room capacity due to Covid restrictions, the staff went out of their way to ensure that everything possible was on offer.
The food was excellent with a great variety of choices for breakfast and dinner, some chosen from the buffet and some cooked to order. The Christmas Day Gala Dinner and the New Year's Eve Gala Dinner were outstanding, not only the selection of food and wine but the wonderful cellist too. (My only concern in the restaurant was the amount of food that was left after each meal. I do hope that it was offered to all of the staff, front of house and behind the scenes, to either eat at the hotel or take home for themselves and their families. Times are hard for many and I would hate to think it was simply thrown away). The waiting staff were very conscientious clearing the tables and sanitising the tables and chairs before the next guests were allowed to sit down.
The hotel is in an excellent location for the town and shops, cafes and restaurants. The beautiful sandy beach was minutes away and long sea side walks were available in both directions.
Without hesitation, I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here from the 8th to 18 th of feb it was a quick check in with a complementary drink of cava ,we was on the 1st floor the view wasn’t thrilling just a garden area but very quiet and we hadn’t booked a pool view so couldn’t really complain x our room was really big it had an extra sofa bed ,armchair all the usual things like tv tea coffee mini bar which we could use for free as we was all inclusive. The food in the restaurant was always lovely and plenty of choice also themed nights we had Valentine’s Day so the restaurant in the evening was all done red and hearts everywhere all the deserts were red and heart shaped the ladies all got a rose on arrival .at lunchtime we ate at the pool bar food was nice but they were set meals which I found to be abit too much especially for 11 days . When we arrived we was given pool cards to give lifeguard in exchange for 2 towels ,there is 2 pools the largest isn’t heated though even though some people liked to swim lengths we didn’t but we loved the smaller pool . We had no problem with finding a sun lounger there was always spares .the hotel also has a gym and sauna .we fad my birthday and our 40 th wedding anniversary there and both times we had a bottle of cava an delicious cakes brought to our room with a lovely card from the management . The evening entertainment was held in the large room where reception is done nights entertainment was fantastic others rubbish so we went out of the hotel the town is only a few minutes walk away .a small beach is only a few minutes walk away too a larger better beach is a bit further which a minibus goes from the hotel we never went though . We would definitely return to this hotel but on half board basis and n n at every upgrade to a better room the ones with the jacuzzis in looked amazing .from Helen and mark hague x

Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay at this hotel. The staff work very hard during the difficult situations caused by the Pandemic but tried hard to provide a good service. We were upgraded to a pool view room which was very much appreciated and our room had everything you could need, especially the big comfy beds and pillows.
A sign of a good hotel is when you mention that your room fridge doesn’t seem to be working and the reply is ‘can we come and fix it now?’ Is excellent.
I’d like to mention Jorge who was particularly helpful and went over and above to make our stay a happy one.
We were all inclusive of which we chosen due to the pandemic situation but we did eat out a few times because we found the food in the evening in the main restaurant was a bit repetitive and not a lot of choice however I do appreciate it must be difficult for the hotel and staff to manage this situation when less than half the hotel is occupied.
There was no entertainment again due to the pandemic so hardly anyone around the hotel in the evenings so would like to experience this hotel again in the future under more normal circumstances.
We loved the location, near the beach and centre of Corralejo and even though we were anxious travelling during a pandemic, we were so happy that we did. Thanks again everyone x

We booked this trip pre covid and were unsure if we would be allowed to travel due to the pandemic.

We had originally booked to stay at a different hotel within the Barcelo chain but Jet2 moved us to this hotel ( probably due to reduced guest numbers).

On arrival we could not have been any happier. This adult only hotel was bright and clean. The staff couldn't do enough for you and the rooms were spotless.

The pool area was beautiful with plenty of sunbeds and pool towels were provided.

This hotel was a stone's throw away from the shops and beach and is close to a vast array of bars and restaurants.

We stayed on a half board basis. The restaurant served a reduced selection of food, due to the reduced number of guests and served both hot food and cold buffet. My only criticism would be that the food could have been hotter.
Tables were regularly cleaned and your plates were removed regularly between courses.

I cannot fault this hotel and its staff and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday.

When we stayed the majority of guests were over the age of 40 + and this was notibly the case when visiting the lobby bar in the evening. Something to bare in mind if you are youngsters looking for a more upbeat evening.

Note to anyone thinking of going all inclusive - premium brands are included!

Loved our time here and look forward to going back

The hotel is in a quiet location, separated from the beach by a road and some villas. It’s just a couple of minutes’ walk to the main shopping street. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious, have plenty of storage space, fridge and good quality, well stocked toiletries. It could have been where our room was situated but it would have been good to get the room made up in the morning rather than late in the afternoon.
Only small bottles of water are served in the restaurant with no shop to buy it from in the hotel, however, it’s not far to the nearest supermarket. We found the food in the restaurant to be varied and of good quality. The only thing we weren’t keen on was having to wander round to find a table. OK in the morning but it would have been nice to have been seated in the evening. It did feel as if they could have done with more staff in the restaurant at times.
Pool towels are provided and there was a queue at 9am waiting for the pool to open and reserve sun loungers. There isn’t enough space if everyone wants to be around the pool. We ate twice at the pool bar, service and food were good.
In the evening we didn’t sit in the main bar/lobby area to watch the entertainment due to the lack of seating.
Overall a good hotel.

From check in to departure, we had a brilliant 7 day holiday. Our room was ready on arrival, lovely and spacious, very clean with tea/coffee making facilities.
Every staff member we encountered was so friendly, helpful and professional. Its such a hard time due to covid but this hotel has got everything in order. Multiple hand sanitizer stations in all public areas, spotlessly clean and everyone felt safe.
Barcelo corralejo bay, your staff are a true credit to you.
Pool areas are spacious with sunbeds well spaced out, spa facilities were great and I would thoroughly recommend the massages from very experienced therapists. We stayed all inclusive and there were plenty of different options for every taste and the restaurant is run by very efficient staff. The drinks are top quality and service was great.
Hotel is in a great location, easily within walking distance to all amenities in Corralejo and about 3km from the sand dunes.
Can't wait to visit again and have the opportunity to explore more.

We stayed in the Barcelo Corralejo Bay over Xmas and New Year on a HB basis and had a wonderful stay. This was our third time to stay in this hotel and overall this was the most enjoyable. The refurb to the hotel bedrooms, looby area and dining room has certainly enhanced the customer experience. The level of service provision never ceases to disappoint and when there were minor issues these were usually resolved very quickly. Breakfast was fantastic with a great range of choices. Dinner was very good especially the show cooking and fish. Perhaps the vegetarian/vegan choice could be expanded though I think it is best to liaise with the hotel staff if you fall into this category. It is always difficult to get everything perfect for large numbers though the hotel did a good job in this regard.

The range of activities organised by the animation team lead/entertainment manager is very good and valued by guests.

Overall, I would certainly recommend this hotel based on location (proximity to amenities) service provision, friendliness of staff, cleanliness of rooms, quality and choice of food and recent improvements to the hotel
