Detailed Reviews
I stayed here with my wife last week and left with mixed feelings about the villa.
The good points:
1. The villa is very spacious and the complex located in a quiet area a mile or two away from the town centre. This is good if you prefer a bit of peace and quiet but on the flipside you will need to hire a car or use taxis, as although you can walk to the main town in 15-20 minutes it soon becomes a bit tedious having to do this every day. There is a nearby small supermarket, souvenir shop and a few cafes within a 5 minute walk however so you're not completely cut off from civilisation.
2. The complex is well presented and gated with a key fob to get in and out. It feels fairly modern and well maintained on the exterior.
3. There is a good sized lounge and kitchen with everything you are likely to need.
4. There was a separate bathroom as well as an en-suite in the villa we stayed in which was convenient.
5. You get your own private swimming pool that is a decent size and refreshingly deep at one end. Quite often you find the water in pools barely come up to an adult's chest but these villas have pools with a shallow end and a deep end. It is heated to a comfortable temperature and automatically lighted at night which adds a touch of class (and safety!).
The downsides:
1. No air conditioning. This was the biggest problem as temperatures were around 32c when we stayed. Not so much a problem in the daytime when you can sit in the shade outdoors, but trying to sleep was impossible. We didn't feel safe sleeping with the windows and bedroom door open as these face out into the patio, which can be easily accessed by anyone if they walk around the side of your villa. There are no gates or doors preventing this once you're inside the complex. So every night of our stay was a case of sleeping pretty terribly in a sweaty state, and looking forward to the morning when we could get out of the bedroom into the cool fresh air outside. There weren't even any desk fans provided and I feel this is just not acceptable. Locals may have no problem sleeping in that heat but villas leased to tourists (many of which are pale skinned people from the british isles like myself!) need to think about their clientele.
2. The patio and pool area looks a bit dated. There was flaking paint on one wall and the gravel around the patio made the place look a bit tacky.
3. Several of the doors seemed to have warped due to heat. We had to literally heave them upwards whilst opening them to shift them more than an inch.
4. Only one key is provided and this works on all doors in the villa. Whilst convenient, you could easily leave it in the bathroom and accidentally shut the door behind you meaning your key is locked in a room you need said key to open in order to retrieve it. This is down to the unconventional design of the villas in that only the lounge and kitchen are in one adjoined room, and the bedrooms and bathroom are all only accessible from the patio/pool area and each have their own locks in order to enter them. This could be a big problem for people with children as there is only one key provided.
5. The bathroom was crawling with ants. I appreciate this can happen in warm climates but on the first morning I awoke to find my toothbrush covered in them and we had to keep all toiletries zipped up in a toilet bag from then onwards.
6. The en-suite shower looked pretty dirty and badly maintained, so we used the bath with the built in shower unit in the main bathroom that looked a lot cleaner. The jacuzzi in the en-suite was a great touch on first appearance but sadly it took about 45 minutes to fill due to a very weak tap and the jets weren't very powerful so it was a bit of a letdown in the end.
So overall it was a mixed experience for us. The major bugbear was the lack of air conditioning. If they sorted this and the other issues it would be a very nice place to stay. We still enjoyed our stay here as much as possible, but when we moved on to another villa nearby (which was pre-planned by the way when booking our holiday to have a bit of variety) that had air conditioning and a better standard of maintenance, the difference was huge.

Firstly, the word of warning -- be sure that you leave home with the following information -
1] Number of allocated villa
2] Key codes x 2
We didn't, and thus experienced a 6 hour wait in the dark until our tour operator [Thomas Cook FlexibleTrips] eventually located alternative accommodation for the night.
There is no reception/caretaker on site so you need to know the access arrangements to your villa prior to arrival.
The villas themselves are O.K. Ours needed an update as microwave partially broken , as was the fridge and dishwasher !! T.V with 52 channels , however not one was English speaking. Beds on the firm side.
Centre of Corralejo approx 15 minute walk away but large supermarket [Mercadona ] even closer - 10 mins max. Unable to evaluate local restaurant [ 5 minutes ] as closed for pre - Christmas holiday.

We stayed at the villas brisas del mar in August 2015. We had booked a two bedroom villa but struggled to find any up to date photos or reviews. We were not disappointed on arrival and have to say that any photos we did find did not do the villas justice. They are traditionally decorated but exceptionally clean and comfortable. The double bed mattress however was very hard and as there was no air con we had a few hot and uncomfortable nights. There is loads of storage in both bedrooms. The bathrooms were lovely with the master having a jacuzzi which we used a couple of evenings, although it was quite warm again. The living room had two sofas with a flat screen TV. There was a DVD player, limited English channels and a stereo system. The kitchen diner was slightly old fashioned but again exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. The oven broke one night but the caretaker was on hand to fix it. He also cleaned the pool twice during our stay and even gave us a wifi password for the villa when we didn't even think had wifi. (Kids were happy). The maid came three times during our stay and changed towels and linen too. Outside the pool was lovely with fake grass around the patio for comfort. The outside was very private and got sun all day. There is a table and chairs for eating out, four loungers and a stone bbq which we used several times too. The bedrooms are accessed by a separate glass windowed hallway but you can close all outside doors at night but still get through to kitchen if you needed to. Our only issue was before travel we were told that our first night would be in a hotel also owned by the villa company as they had double booked us. Bit annoyed but we were in the villa the following afternoon and walked up to mercadona. (About 15 minutes) to do our big shop then got a taxi back. About 3 euros and the staff will call one for you. There are a couple of small snack bars and shops 5 minutes walk down road but if you want you can get a taxi from there into main town which took 5 minutes and cost about 4 euros. We walked to the beach too which took about 15 minutes and on the way there is a small shopping centre and mini market. You did not really need a car, we managed fine without one. We walked to the waterpark which took about 15 minutes. About £60 for a family of four. It was a nice day out but very hot. On check out we were not leaving until 5pm but there is a definite 12pm exit time from the villa to be ready for next guests so bear this in mind if you fly home later. You can leave your bags safely in the main entrance block which caretaker locked for us until we returned from afternoon out in the harbour. Again he was very helpful. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Would book here again if we went to fuerteventura as was ideal location and felt very homely.

+1
What a great little place this proved to be. Bungalow basically with 4 bedrooms, small but ample pool and great facilities.
Pros: clean, wifi, tv service, pool, bbq area and plenty of outside seating. Home from home.
Cons: Although a bungalow, severely mobile disabled may struggle in certain aspects with getting in and out of villa, ie a lot of raised areas. Quite a way out of the way so far as the main strip is concerned but if that wont bother you, it's a great pad.

We stayed in villa no 13. The villa and the complex was a lot better than we were expecting. Very clean and well looked after. This is probably the best villa we have stayed in anywhere. We met other people who were on their 2nd and 3rd time there. The facilities were adequate for us. The main room and the bedrooms are separate, didn't find this a problem at all once we got used to it. No air con but fans were provided. The pool area was surrounded with astro turf, better than tiles or grass we thought. A couple of dogs had a bark for a short time when we first arrived but hardly heard them after. Electronic gates at the entrance makes you feel very safe as well. We thought the beds were very comfortable and didn't have a problem sleeping at all. About 20 mins walk to the centre. 5 euros in a taxi. The mercadona is just up the road and really good value. All in all very good. Thanks to Solmar Villas and Las Brisas

We have just returned from a 14 night stay in villa 28. The villa is well equipped and very clean. The washing machine was very old and was unusable ! Maids and pool man came several times during our stay. The pool area was lovely for our two young children and there was plenty of space. The major problem with this villa how you access the bedrooms. Both bedrooms are accessed off the pool area and the living room/ kitchen is through another door. It worked but we had to leave the living room door unlocked at night because there was only one key and it was needed to lock the bedroom door once in there ! Both bedrooms did have its own bathroom and one even had a jacuzzi bath. Having stayed in corralejo the previous year we were a bit disappointed with the location. The villa is in Residential area and is about 10 minutes walk to a small English supermarket, bakery and a couple of pubs. It was a good 20 minutes walk to the start of corralejo and obviously the same again to the harbour. We used taxis which cost about 5euros into corralejo and about 8 euros to the riu hotel beaches. We had a fantastic time at the villa and the only reason that we wouldn't return is because of the disappointing location.

recently returned from a weeks stay at baristas der mar .. No. 6. It was brill. Clean, airy, spot on. Secured complex. We hired a car and glad we did as we either drove into corralejo (5 mins) or the supermarket you can see from kitchen window! Think it was Mercadona !! They had fantastic fresh fish meats hams. Only thing to point out, we were there week before bank holiday so no families about .. Therefore lovely n quiet, but villas are very close to each other n would imagine it becomes very noisy. Air con only in bedrooms. But we loved it all . Good internet too.pool cleaned once a week plus maids come to change towels.
