Alua Suites Fuerteventura is celebrated for its clean, well-maintained pools and gardens, as well as its spacious rooms, although some guests suggest the decor could use updating. The hotel's location is a hit, offering convenient access to local attractions within a short walk. Despite this, the evening atmosphere is noted to lack excitement, with mixed reviews on the entertainment provided. While the staff earns praise for their attentiveness, some travelers question the hotel's value, pointing out additional costs and less-than-impressive food and drink offerings.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, having 7 nights there through Easyjet Holidays. We were in a room at the back at the hotel which was quiet.

Food was good with plenty of choice. Not all drinks were part of the All Inclusive with a small cost to pay if you wanted certain types.

Be prepared to pay for the room safe (2.5 euros a day with a 30 euro deposit).

Pool towels are provided with a deposit of 20 euros each and a ticket to have them changed once during your stay.

The hotel grounds are extremely well maintained with an army of staff working hard to achieve this.

There is a well equipped gym along with a sauna.

There are three on-site restraurants as well as the main buffet restaurant. Two are for any guests of the hotel to use (you have to pre-book 24 hours in advance and are permitted one visit to each per stay). The third restaurant is called La Scala and is for premium guests only, but other guests can pay 10 euros each to use it. The food here was very nice.

The location of the hotel is slightly out of the way. There are some small beaches within a couple of minutes walk, but the hotel provide transport to the main beach on the costal road by the national park.

To get to the town centre and strip of shops/restaurants, you can go by taxi - about 4 euros for a 5 minute drive. It's about a 20 minute brisk walk to the "strip" and 30 minute walk to the port.

Be mindful that regardless of what you have booked through your tour operator, the all inclusive ends at the hotel at noon on your last day, even if you didn't arrive late into the evening on your first day. In our case, our flight home wasn't until the evening (and we didn't arrive until late evening on our first night) but the hotel will not permit you to use the facilities unless you pay extra. We chose not to and walked into town instead but it does feel that you are paying twice under this system.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a comment here at TripAdvisor. We are glad to read that you have enjoyed your stay with us to the fullest. Our hotel is grounded on 65ooo square meters and can be seen as a little small village, with nice manicured gardens, 8 pools, 5 restaurants, and 6 bars offer a wide range of food and drinks within the complex. The small town of Corralejo is within walking distance, there you can find bars, restaurants and a lot of different shops, also on some days of the week there is a typical Canarian market. As in nearly all hotels of the world, the all-inclusive finish with the check out time. For our guests who have a late departure because of late flight times we offer the possibility to prolongate the all-inclusive for a special price. We are looking forward to welcoming you back soon. Best regards Guest Service Manager

We stayed at this resort hotel some 12 years ago and decided to return attracted by the Premium package. The hotel is only half an hour from the airport by taxi and although it’s on the edge of the town the beach is easily accessible over the road at the bottom of the drive.
We were however somewhat disappointed overall as nothing seemed to be of the standard we’d been led to expect in the publicity.
The room it must be said was well up to standard good size with all facilities - fridge and free safe etc. with a pleasant balcony. Daily cleaning arrangements were also good. WIFI was very intermittent so much so to be annoying at times.
The locked card controlled gated area was fine up to a point but not all the premium facilities were contained in this area. The private pool decked area and it’s beds and pads was very pleasant but many guests were up early booking the beds and there was never enough pads. We therefore had to follow suit and book beds and pads every day.
The restaurant in the premium area, which closed at 6 pm, was ok for lunch but limited for breakfast so we ate with everyone else in the main restaurant. This however can only be described as basic. The three a la carte restaurants are in the main grounds of the hotel and this is of a much lower standard and is not then adults only. The standards of these restaurants left much to be desired and they were well below the a la carte restaurant standards we have experienced at other hotels we have visited. One was in fact a pool bar and general restaurant during the daytime.
The bar areas around the hotel can be described as nothing more than set up like a fast food outlet and totally lacking in any atmosphere. The All inclusive drinks package is an utter rip off with only local drinks being served. Generally these are also served in recycled plastic containers. The wine is either out of a tap or a bottle brand I’ve never before heard of. To get say a Rioja of the standard I’m used too they wanted 18 euros about what I would expect to pay if I wasn’t all inclusive.
Also be aware there is a beach bar over the road from the hotel and at the weekend day and into the night the live ‘thump’ ‘thump’ band and then disco music can be heard in the premium part of the hotel.
So in summary we went back thinking we were going to get something of a better quality than an average all inclusive hotel but I’m not sure we even got that.
Can’t recommend and will not be returning.

Just returned from a lovely holiday at this Hotel. The rooms are spacious and sleep quality is great. Everywhere is exceptionally clean, the grounds are maintained to a very high standard. The cleaning staff are a credit to this Hotel along with the gardeners and maintenance staff. All the pools have lifeguards on hand each day.

Having stayed in the Adults only premium club, it was well worth paying extra as the pool and jacuzzi are both heated and the sun beds and Balinese beds are the most comfortable we have ever experienced. The Lifeguard at the Adults only pool made sure everywhere was tidy and in tip top condition whilst doing his Lifeguard duties, unfortunately, we did not get his name but he is a real credit to the Hotel.

The only thing that lets the Hotel down is the La Scala Adults only A La Carte restaurant, we ate there five times during our stay and only had a reasonable meal twice which was such a shame, the beef was undercooked and tough and the Lamb was just a lump of fat with no meat at all. We did go to the Buffet restaurants a few times but only found the food to be Luke warm even on hot plates. Also, the food served in the mornings and afternoon inside the Adults only area is limited with not much variety. This is such a shame as this could be really special!

We also tried the Ramboutan restaurant and the Atrium, the latter menu was a bit bizarre with different courses of mixtures of fish and meat.

We spent 10 days at the hotel in February. We were two couples who arrived together for a relaxing break. We found reception staff abrupt and unhelpful. Our friends were upgraded in adult only section which was great for them but devisive for our group. We were given a room looking over a building site which was also very noisy at night.Don't accept room 3003 if you want to relax. Our next room 2003 was great overlooking one of the pools and very quiet at night.Negative bed sheets wer'nt changed throughout the holiday Food in buffet good but very busy and difficult to find a seat.Wines cheap cava was ok. Asian alacartes lovely staff great.Pool snack bar fridges faulty all holiday still being used for meat and cheeses beware one was flashing high alert with a temp of 26 degrees the other flashing with a temp of 14 degrees. Very dangerous. Safe had to be paid for extra also deposit for pool towels which could o ly be changed once per week. Definitely not 4 star more like a poor 3 star.

This hotel is, my opinion, clearly overrated and doesn't deserve 4 stars.

You get one bottle of water in your room when you come in for the first time. Once you drink it, you can either refill it on the water dispensers you can find at some hotel locations or you can buy a bottle of water.

You pay 20 Euros in cash per person as deposit for the swimmingpool towels. You can change the towels only once in one week. If you want to change it more often you pay one euro every time you change the swimmingpool towels ( I have been told this today but need to confirm it when I change mine tomorrow for the 2nd time)

Thematic restaurants are not open every day and you need to queue in the morning to make a reservation.

Staff were sympathetic; however I missed the truly service orientated staffing you find in the other parts of the world.

These above examples were decisive on my judgment. Definitely something I would not expect or experience in other hotels with 4 or more starts.

Facilities old but well maintained.

Wifi is not good everywhere and quite unstable.

Nice bedrooms but humid. Did not use the airco as temperature did not demand it.

I will not come back.

My husband, 13 year old daughter and I spent the February 2020 half term holiday at this hotel and we had a fantastic time. We were a little nervous before coming out as we have been visiting the same AI hotel in Costa Adeje in Tenerife, 3 times a year for the last 4 years. This time we fancied a change and I am so glad we chose this hotel.
Our room was 1 Bed Suite in Block 5, very spacious, such a comfortable bed, quiet room with a great view over the Spa pool, and the room was spotless. The hotel grounds, pools and gardens are kept beautifully. The food in the Gaudi restaurant was lovely and of a very high quality. The indoor dining experience would not be my choice, very loud and busy, not ideal for a relaxing evening meal, and the outside option was much the same, with lots of little ones running around, however the positives of the hotel elsewhere far outweigh this. We preferred the a la carte option, both the Atrium and Rambutan restaurant experiences were fantastic.
What really stands out at this hotel for us is the animation team. As an only child and at the awkward age of 13, my daughter wanted to make friends and have things to do but is quite shy. Alberto at the Teens Club was fantastic with her and she really came out of herself and had a fabulous time. He deserves a mention as he really made my daughter’s holiday. He ensured the teens had a varied programme throughout the week and she couldn’t wait to get involved. The design of the activities area is also perfect, you can sit and watch or take part in any of the sports on offer. All of the animation team work very, very hard (day and night!) and go out of their way to chat and make you feel part of whatever is going on. If this is not your bag, it’s just as fun to watch or there are a number of other pools to sit at and enjoy, each with their own ambiance. We enjoyed sitting on the lobby bar terrace in the evenings, it was February and it was cool - there were excellent patio heaters! Enrique and his team at the lobby bar should also be highlighted as real assets.
I know there was a change of ownership recently and I sincerely hope the new owners don’t make too many changes, this place is ideal. We had a fabulous holiday and will be coming back without a doubt. The hotel is very relaxed and fellow guests of all nationalities were a lovely crowd. Thank you!

Had a really relaxing stay here over Christmas and New Year in the Premium Club. The rooms are spacious, spotless and comfortable. Food was great (fortunately we’re not fussy eaters by any stretch of the imagination). The majority of staff were also great and the party on NYE was fab – we had a brilliant time!

I have a couple of what might appear petty gripes which I hope will be taken as constructive feedback rather than moaning:

1. Ideally the check-in for the Premium Club should have its own allocated section within reception maybe with a glass of fizz on arrival?

2. Each room needs an iron and ironing board. This isn’t a wild expectation for a hotel that offers what they perceive to be an exclusive area titled ‘Premium Club’. So to expect people to hire these items for a few days is not really acceptable. This has been mentioned in other reviews so the Management really does need to listen to feedback like this and invest in these additional room facilities.

3. The food was great however there was a few nights in La Scala where the Chef was serving hash browns with the main courses – this was just odd!

4. The sunbed situation – well I’m not sure what the hotel can do about this. Our room was right on the pool and a few times we could hear people scurrying about like rats putting their towels out in the early hours of the morning – ridiculous!!

5. It would be good if they could make better use of the Plaza area in the evening. On our first night there was a guy singing with a guitar which was good but this seemed to be a one-off and we never saw anything like this again (apart from NYE).

That said, I think we would definitely stay here again, it’s a nice hotel in a great location just far enough out of the centre of Correlejo and a few minutes walk to the Centro Comercial El Campanario .

We were allocated a lovely suite with pool view after requesting a ground floor suite.

Whole place is immaculate - decking and beds around pool cleaned very early every morning, suite large, bright and clean - restaurant and bar on Premium Club spotless. Staff super helpful.

Breakfast and light lunch served on PC complex but we did go to The Gaudi occasionally for a walk and change of scenery.

We found La Scala a la carte (fish or meat every night) really good and there was also cold and hot buffet. Fresh mussels and prawns most nights. The service was really good too. There is also a dedicated bar over La Scala for Premium Club which was lovely.

There were two other restaurants bookable, but we did not bother and we were quite happy with La Scala.

We were here Xmas 2013 and the whole place has been refurbed and is bright, modern and clean.

Negatives : Safe was 2.50 per day! Towels could only be changed twice a week at the Spa in conjunction with a brown card from Reception, which seemed a bit odd. This wasn't made clear and they would not exchange used towels without the brown card. Its quite a hike from Premium Club to the Spa, so check with Reception first.

We really enjoyed our stay and will return to the Premium Club which was adults only and so much more peaceful than the rest of the hotel, but it was obvious families were having a wonderful time too around lots of different pools and areas.

Overall a very enjoyable week.

We booked the Premium Club as we wanted an adults only relaxing luxury experience. Upon arrival the music from the beach bar opposite was so loud we had to change rooms. We were told by reception it was a one off as it was carnival but other guests said it went on every weekend until 11pm. This was not the sort of adult only premium experience we were expecting.
The Premium Club area is really nice as it is gated & separate from the rest of the hotel. The grounds & pool are lovely & the other guests here are very pleasant! You can have breakfast & lunch in the Premium Club area plus they have a bar open during the day. Unfortunately for dinner you have to go into the main hotel & how different things are here! It’s like walking straight into a council estate. We booked one of the restaurants for our first night dinner & no sooner had we sat down than a woman who had been shouting & screaming outside suddenly stormed in & started punching & kicking her husband & swearing at the staff! It was really shocking as she also had children with her. We were later told she had been removed from the hotel but were surprised to see her a few days later sat with her husband at the bar. Surely that sort of behaviour should have been punished & she should have been removed for fear she could do it again! Really surprised the hotel tolerated that & lets people stay if they behave so badly! Plus it didn’t make me feel very safe knowing some drunk woman was on the loose again. So we stopped going for a drink after dinner.
The Premium restaurants The Atrium & La Scala in the main hotel are nice but it’s a shame they can’t be in the Premium Club area. I also had a massage spa which was lovely. Staff are very friendly.
I’d separate the 2 hotels & then it would be lovely.

Decent hotel, rooms nice with air con. Food choice was very limited probably due to low number of guests but what we ate was decent enough. Long queues for drinks at breakfast which I think they could have managed better. Pools were all open and great, lifeguides really hot on disinfecting sunbeds after each use. Due to covid-19 we weren't able to use pool floats other than armbands/ring.
