Hotel Dunas Club receives commendation for its prime location near beaches and eateries and the cleanliness of its rooms and pool area, as noted by many guests. However, some travelers report dissatisfaction with the hotel's basic amenities, additional fees for certain services, and occasional maintenance issues. While the staff is often lauded for their helpfulness, there are accounts of unprofessional reception service. The rooms, though spacious for some, are criticized for dated decor and odors. Moreover, guests find the extra charges for utilities and cleaning diminish the hotel's overall value.

We had a studio will balcony onto street and distant view of sea and Lanzarote. Quiet central sunbathing area with plenty of (socially distanced) sun beds, small pool and lifeguard. We booked through RCI and had extra charges for (compulsory) electric and water and (optional) cleaning and linen changes and also had different early check out time. On site restaurant if you want to add breakfast or half board - we self catered using good local supermarket just around the corner and about 5 mins walk along coast to main centre of Corralejo with lots of bars, restaurants, shops & beaches.

We stayed here in July 2020, just shortly after the pandemic.
Upon arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff, who were in masks and stuck to the social distancing guidelines. Everywhere you turn, hand sanitizers are there. There was markings on the floor, with disinfecting mats. The hotel itself was very clean, and tidy. The beds were made pretty much everyday, and rooms were cleaned every couple of days.
We had breakfast at La Luna included with our stay, and staff at the restaurant went above and beyond to make you feel at home and welcoming everyday. They never stopped smiling. Food was always excellent there too.
In particular, Lorenzo on reception and the manager herself made our stay much better than we expected. They were friendly and very welcoming. Also the manager herself was extremely helpful sorting a particular issue we had out, and ensuring we had the best possible holiday at such a difficult time.

I would recommend staying here and it’s not far from the great restaurants on the harbour!!

I spent two weeks here in a one bedroom apartment on an RCI exchange. The resort is in an excellent location, on the seafront, close to the harbour, near to a supermarket and within easy walking distance from numerous good restaurants and the town centre.
My apartment was clean and comfortable. All the staff were really nice, welcoming and helpful. A good reasonably priced restaurant is attached to the resort.
RCI warned that there was no complimentary housekeeping but actually it wasn’t that bad. In the middle of my two week stay the apartment was cleaned and the towels and sheets were changed. On most days the bins were emptied and the supply of toilet rolls was topped up. Towels were a bit of an issue. A one bedroom apartment comes with two larger and two smaller towels. I was there by myself so it wasn’t a problem. An extra change of those towels costs nine euros. Advice: place the bathmat at least a foot away from the entrance to the shower to avoid it getting soggy.
On the downside the WiFi is lousy and the ‘heated’ pool is freezing.
I enjoyed my two weeks there and thought the pros outweighed the cons, but when I return I will choose a hotter time of year

This was our second month long stay at the Dunas Club and we enjoyed it even more than the first time. The location by the ferry terminal is excellent, ideal as a base for long coastal walks and in great proximity to cafes, bars, restaurants, supermarkets and launderette facilities. The reception staff, cleaners and maintenance men are all extremely diligent, friendly and hospitable and make every guest feel welcome. The attached La Luna restaurant is excellent, popular with tourists, ex pats and locals alike, with the hardest working and most charming staff you could hope to meet. The apartments are very clean and spacious, though fairly basic in terms of furnishings and equipment. Clearly refurbished on a budget, the cheap flat pack type tables etc. are already showing signs of wear and tear, and the interior design leaves something to be desired given the strange colour palette of grey and a bright green bedroom wall! An injection of tasteful colour would not go amiss, and they could easily enliven the walls with large colour block board pictures of the manifold natural beauty to be found all over Fuerteventura. We have a couple of minor gripes over the high cost to rent the room safe on a longer term basis, which should be a one off charge rather than a weekly rate, while the management should also rethink the size of the welcome pack for guests booked in for more than a couple of nights. A bottle of washing up liquid, full size tea towel and larger shower gel containers would hardly break the bank but would be greatly welcomed by guests. On a positive note, the beds are extremely comfortable, and sheets and towels are changed on a regular basis though cleaning and room servicing was hit and miss, some days not done at all.
The hotel must, however, be commended for its sustainability initiative in adapting ancient instruments of torture utilised by the Spanish Inquisition into the most uncomfortable sofas and sofa beds of all time. Please throw them into the skips where they belong and buy new ones that are comfortable to sit and sleep on!

I’ve been a member of RCI for 28 years and during that time I’ve exchanged into over 100 timeshare resorts. I’ve come to expect certain standards and amenities associated with timesharing.

The vast majority of reviewers seem to rate Dunas Club as either Excellent or Very Good and suggest they would either recommend it or return again. I‘m pleased for them, but I have to assume that their standards of satisfaction are lower than mine.

The location of Dunas Club at the port in Corralejo is excellent. It’s a great area for walking. The restaurant and pool bar on site are good, and there are many restaurants and cafes along the boardwalk and close by in the town.
All the staff, front desk, cleaning and maintenance, are friendly, helpful and efficient.

However Dunas Club feels less like a resort or a hotel, and more like a complex of basic, characterless apartments where people come for a cheap vacation.

The units themselves are clean and modern, but have the look and feel of a hospital room. It could certainly use some pictures on the walls and an armchair across from the sofa bed. The TV is about the size of a screen on a laptop computer. I was surprised that they make TVs that small.
There were no soap or shampoo supplies in the bathroom upon arrival. Although I was in a one bedroom apartment with a partial kitchen, they would not supply soap or sponges for washing the dishes. I had to buy my own. I’ve never experienced that before. Only because I called front desk and asked, I was given a coffee maker and 2 wine glasses The pool water was very cold, too cold to go in. The one mechanical piece of exercise equipment in their gym, a very old looking exercise bike, was broken, and not repaired or replaced during the 2 weeks we were there.

All of these negatives may seem minor, but you do not expect them all together at an RCI resort. It all depends what you are used to and what you expect.
Despite the wonderful staff, Dunas Club falls far below RCI standards, and RCIers should be aware of this before booking, so they will not be disappointed.

First of all, I've stayed here 4 times before as part of a package. Secondly, if you are travelling with Jet2 or other UK company then I'd ignore the reviews which have in tiny letters at the bottom collected by RCI. That company has a different working relationship with Dunas and those guests don't always seem to grasp that this is not a 5 star hotel (I think it is possibly a time-share sort of arrangement).

I have always found the staff to be very very helpful. And this was certainly the case this time.

It's decent 3 star accommodation. However, as might be expected, things have been different this time and not necessarily to do with the pandemic.

Firstly, noise. I'm not unreasonable about noise but there is a building site at the back of the building (on Calle Marrajo) which woke us up at 8.15 Monday to Friday. I would not stay here again until after approximately 14 November which is my guesstimate for the building work finishing. PLEASE NOTE it may well be finished before then. TBH because we don't go clubbing or dance and drink the night away then the noise from the building works has been annoying but not ruined our time here. They knock off around 4.30pm but were later last Friday.

I seem to remember better crockery here before- no mugs and none to be bought in the supermarket either unusually (??) Nor wine glasses, just two small glass tumblers. No draining rack either which seems odd for washed crockery etc..?

There's not enough sunbeds due to rigorous spacing which I assume is the glorious pandemic at work again. I am sure this is because the hotel have to follow certain spacing guidelines, but get up early if you want a sunbed. The Dunas staff however are Covid compliant and extremely kind and helpful. The pool lifeguard has been outstanding in helping us with our daily fight with the magnificent umbrella!!

This is my accommodation of choice in Corralejo and I will always return. I've never had any issues with the cleaners who I think do a very good job and the bedding and towels are regularly changed. I'm delighted to see level access showers have replaced the showers over the bath - important for me because I've just had one knee replaced and waiting for the 2nd one to be done. The location is excellent.

The safe is 2 Euros per day and they take a deposit of 12 Euros to ensure you return the key ! I'll definitely be back.

From the outside this hotel looks a little warn but it is in a good, quiet location and my room was in very good condition, large and well appointed. The balcony and outside furniture showed signs of a hard, salt air life but given the stunning sea view I was happy to put up with that. The kitchenette had a fridge, hob and microwave but no oven. A good supply of utensils though lacking wine and beer glasses. There were lights and sockets either side of the beds. Nice large shower with very hot water in a good sized bathroom. Medium sized TV with a mix of European channels and BBC World. Free WiFi was at a good speed. Balcony with sea view room got the morning sun - you are facing the sunrise - and some sun in the early afternoon but no sun in the late afternoon. There is a safe but you have to pay to use it. The one annoying thing were the outside lights that come on automatically for all the rooms at night so you lose the sea view in the evenings.

Getting There
I had booked with a bus from the airport with Airport Transfers. At £4.50 it was about the same as the public bus but saved changing at Puerto de Rosario.

Getting Around
There is a minimart behind the hotel. Head up this road and turn left at the main road to get to a large Spar supermarket, about 15min walk. There is also a HyperDino supermarket around the corner from the Spar. There are other supermarkets and plenty of shops if you head south past the bars and restaurants on the road that runs parallel with the beach about 20 mins walk from the hotel.

You can walk along the beach south to the edge of the National Park near the Riu Hotels in just over an hour. The No. 6 bus also goes there every thirty minutes, hourly on Sunday (€1.40 pay the driver, exact change is appreciated but not essential)
Bus No. 8 goes to El Cotillo €3.10 (bus 7 is direct €2.05). Catch buses from the bus station over the road from the Spar supermarket (15 mins walk from hotel).

Not the best hotel I have been to. Rooms are tired and ill equipped if you want to go self catering
RCI members are treated like second class citizens. RCI don’t tell you at the time of booking that you will have to pay for electricity and water separately and there is no complimentary cleaning. This is arguably in the small print of the confirmation you get after you have booked but who reads the small print? Me from now on!!!

Just back from my 4th visit to this hotel. The hotel is in a great location and spotlessly clean. The staff are great and so very helpful. I emailed in advance as I was travelling with my elderly mother and they were able to accommodate all my requests for a suitable room. Thank you again for a great holiday. Hope to be back soon.

This was our first visit to Dunas Club and I was very impressed by the helpful, friendly staff and the cleanliness of the apartment. The sea view was amazing and was well worth paying extra for. We stayed in this great location from the 11th to the 18th December we were self catering and there was a supermarket just around the corner. We did eat at the Luna restaurant and the food was good and reasonably priced. We enjoyed it so much that we are going back in March and can't wait. Thank you Dunas Club Apartments for making our holiday so enjoyable.

I believe so, but I do not smoke so not really sure. It seemed over there they are not so hard and fast about smoking in public places. Vaguely recall that maybe smokers use that area.
