The Hotel Boutique Tao Caleta Mar is a new hotel, completely renovated in 2019 over the old hotel. Property and management are new. The concept of the hotel is completely different from the hotel there was beforewards. Our new concept is: intimate feel in a spectacular location with minimum "feel" of the establishment itself and personalized and friendly service. This is the ideal starting point to enjoy and explore the dreamy beaches, the towns and hamlets, the culture and natural walking trails of the north of the island of Fuerteventura. Its location is unparalleled: at the entrance of Corralejo, close to the beaches of the sand-dunes of Corralejo (Natural Park Dunes of Corralejo). In front, the small isle "Lobos island", Lanzarote Island and the bay of Corralejo. For these characteristics, the Hotel Boutique TAO Caleta Mar is one of the best ubicated hotel in Fuerteventura. Your stay will allow you to enjoy this immersive sensation in this natural beauty. The rooms are distributed in 4 buildings of 2 floors each. Several solariums equipped with sun loungers, sun shades and showers. Two freshwater swimming pools from which you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the sea, the “Isla de Lobos” and Lanzarote. A reception service will welcome you and provides you with all the information about the surroundings, the island and any leisure activity. An elegant and welcoming space, decorated in white and gold. The gastronomic offer stands out for its totally glazed restaurant next to the pool and the sea and with “a la carte” menu, mostly offering local products of the Canarian tradition such as fish, tapas, rice dishes... accompanied by local wines. A lobby bar with chill-out terrace and a pool bar with sea views complete the bars offer. A boutique hotel with personalized attention: both in your room and in the terrace areas, the “room service” is available, to better enjoy your relaxation time. The cleaning service is daily; the change of sheets is twice a week and the towels 4 times a week, unless otherwise specified by the client, according to the philosophy of environmental measures implemented by the hotel. There are intimate areas on the rooftops of the buildings where is possible the practice of nudism. The forty-four double or triple bedrooms, in standard category or sea view category stand out for their decoration in white and indigo colours and their ceramic floor with wood effect that brings freshness and elegance. Indirect lighting creates a warm atmosphere and, above all, enhance the natural light. All accommodations have Smart features such as intelligent night lighting, free high-quality Wi-Fi service, air conditioning, Smart TV, satellite TV, as well as a safe included, mini-fridge and kettle. Each room and apartment have a desk where to work, write and be inspired by this wonderful environment. We would like to highlight the large glass walled bathroom, with premium towel sets, ecological amenities, hairdryer, magnifying mirror and Italian shower with glass screen. From our terraces and solariums, you will be able to scan the horizon while seated and enjoying a nice cocktail. For those who choose a more independent stay, the TAO Caleta Mar Boutique Hotel offers fully equipped apartments with sea views. All sea-view apartments overlook the islands of Lobos and Lanzarote, the bay of Corralejo and the pool. The bedroom of the apartments is very bright thanks to its glass door with access to the outside. The bathroom is spacious, with shower, rustic tiling and equipped with linen and ecological amenities. They have a kitchen-living room, sofa-bed, desk and private terrace with furniture. In addition, they are equipped with household appliances such as a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and a complete kitchen designed for those who want to enjoy a more autonomous stay.

Detailed Reviews
Modern, sleek, very clean, right at the north end of Corralejo beach and a few meters from the sea! The swimming pool is large and beautiful and the room we got was better than the one we booked: big, spotless, a large balcony with a view to the sea and a comfortable bed. The separation between the bathroom and the room is a large glass pane with a blind that can be lowered with a switch, but you can clearly see shapes even when shut. You’ve been warned :-) A very friendly and polite Bulgarian gentleman took care of us when we checked in late at night and made it a nice experience. Having breakfast in the eating area was wonderful as it’s totally covered with glass and you can see the beach and the sea everywhere you look. As for breakfast, there was not a lot of variety but quality was good. A car is needed; Corralejo is just 10 minutes away and it’s very easy to drive in Fuerteventura: roads are good, there is little traffic and people are relaxed drivers. My recommendations in the area: explore the Dunes of Corralejo (a 5-min drive from the hotel) and, most of all, go to the island of Lobos! It’s totally unspoilt, you can easily walk around the island (less than 8 km) and enjoy the two gorgeous beaches. Plan to spend there at least 5 hours and bring your own food, because there is a small restaurant in the island but it’s always packed. Just go to the port of Corralejo and you will see a line of booths from the boat companies. The journey takes 15 minutes and costs 15€. You need a permission from the Cabildo de Fuerteventura because the number of visitors per day is restricted, but the boat company will do that for you when you buy the ticket. You can also do it yourself online if you want to secure one. All in all, we were very happy with the Hotel Boutique TAO Caletamar and we definitely recommend it.

We stayed here in mid February 2020 and we couldn't have asked for more. Firstly, check-in was smooth and without a hitch, and we were greeted with clean, spacious rooms with air-con/heating, fridge, smart tv, USB charging sockets, very good showers and spacious balconies with sea views.
We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfast was good, with hot and cold options. The bar area was nice to sit for a drink or two, and has a rooftop terrace so you can catch some rays. There are also a couple of other rooftop areas with sunbeds should you want to use them.
We didn't use the pool, but the area around it had plenty of sunbeds, many of which were free if we'd decided to. A taxi into the centre of Corralejo is around 4 euros which we thought was very reasonable, particularly when compared to taxi costs in the UK. There is plentiful car parking to the front of the hotel if you rent a car, as we did.
It's worth noting that this hotel is literally on the edge of Corralejo, so if you want to be in the middle of a resort, it probably isn't for you. If you want a nice, relaxed, quiet hotel with few disturbances where you can get a good night's sleep after a relaxing day, then it probably is. Also, checkout was 12pm which made our departure much less stressful.
The staff deserve a mention too, they are all hard working, eager to please and very pleasant to deal with. We will be returning soon!

We have just spent 10 days at this hotel, we wanted somewhere quiet to relax and recharge our batteries!
It didn't disappoint, if you want a resort, busy vibe this is not for you.
We stayed bed and breakfast and it suited us perfectly, there was an option to pay for an evening meal, should you want to.
The hotel is spotless in every area and a lot of care is taken to keep it that way. The staff are a great team who work very hard to ensure you have an enjoyable stay.
There are roof terraces to sit and relax, as well as a very nice pool area with loungers.
Unfortunately the pool isn't heated so too cold in January.
There is also a lovely area for coffe, cake ice cream or a beer, which is available for any one to drop in and use.
Everything throughout the hotel and rooms is brand new. Comfy beds great showers and ample storage, even a smart tv should you want it.
It's right next to a very long beach, there is a nudist area which you can avoid. Halfway along there's a beach bar, great bocadill and drinks. Be aware there are no toilets.
There is an area of waste ground by the hotel where surfers park their camper vans, initial I wasn't sure but actually it really isn't a problem.
It takes about 40 mins to walk to the centre by beach or road, which we did and then had a taxi back for under 5 euros.
Well done to the owner and staff, fabulous relaxing holiday, we really enjoyed our time with you.

Room Tip: 2nd floor rooms have a better view, rooms facing the road have late afternoon and evening sunshine.

Sadly this hotel failed to live up to expectations for us. We paid extra for a sea view, but the restaurant and a car park was between us and the sea. Our outside terrace space was overlooked by the restaurant, and was open to the other rooms either side so no privacy at all. The direction it faced meant that by lunchtime it was in the shade. Possibly there are a few rooms on the 2nd floor facing the sea which have a good view, but I doubt most rooms at this hotel do. There is a block of rooms facing the sand dunes and mountains beyond which would be nice, but the road runs right past and it is busy with people going to and from the sand dunes. There is another block of rooms which face the back of that block, so not a hotel to pick if a nice view and private outdoor space is important to you.
We didn’t have experience of friendly staff that other reviewers mention. When we first arrived we discovered the beds were too hard for our comfort, when we asked at reception if there was anything they could do we just received a flat “no”. Only after prompting did we manage to get a couple of extra duvets. After that we didn’t then feel like taking up the issue of the lack of sea view.
The room was supposedly a double, but was two single beds side by side which is not the same. The bathroom has a full size glass window into the bedroom. There is a screen, but with a light on in the bathroom (which is motion sensitive so always comes on) it is see-through. Don’t know who thinks this is a good feature, I prefer privacy to use the bathroom! There is a small fridge in the room, though not big enough to keep more than a few bottles of water. There is a kettle with mugs and tea/coffee, but no milk or sugar provided.
We were on a half-board basis. One night we were charged for the bread rolls we had with dinner. Another night we were charged for an extra drink we did not have. Both issues were sorted later, but disappointing they occurred in the first place.
Dinner was served from 7pm to 10pm. It was a la carte the first 3 nights, with up to 3 choices for each course. The first night there were not enough staff and the service was very slow. The other four nights dinner was a buffet. The food started off very good quality but seemed to reduce over the week, perhaps dependent on who was cooking.
Breakfast was served 8.30 to 10.30 and was all buffet. There is no one to great you, you just have to realise to sit down and tuck in. The food was ok, fairly standard for hotel breakfast.
On the plus side, the room was spacious and the whole hotel and grounds are immaculate and nicely kept. The location is good to access the vast sand dunes which start right beside the hotel. The hotel generally felt laid back and quiet, although we were unlucky to have a very loud couple of guests in the room next door and we could hear their conversation through the wall.

We recently spent a week at this refurbished hotel in a double sea view room. It is a strange set up with the reception, cafe bar and restaurant all in separate glass units, there is no connection between them. Our room had a view over to the sand dunes, which was lovely however we also over looked the car park which was used by camper vans to stay for days on end. There were no bins or toilets in this area!
The breakfast was good but the dinner again was strange. The waiter would read out 3 choices per course and you had to pick what you wanted, it wasn’t their a la carte menu. It was fairly limited choice. Then after a few nights it changed to a buffet, the first night was excellent but after that the quality declined. The waiter was lovely and did his best to give the place a bit of personality.
The cafe bar closed at 8 pm and it was a 15 minute walk to the nearest shops, bars etc.
The room was fine although there wasn’t much insulation and you could clearly hear your neighbors moving around. There were 2 single beds which were firm, one was longer than the other. The pillows, bedding, towels etc were from the previous hotel.
Tea/ coffee facilities were useless, there was no milk or coffee and after using the 2 tea bags it was never replenished. The maid wouldn’t wash the mugs!
There was no waste bin in the room and no glasses for water/drink.
The hotel is a long way from Corralejo centre but it is in a nice position beside the sand dunes. The nearest shopping centre has good bars, restaurants etc with plenty of life and locals. We did enjoy this area and it was great value for money.
This is not a 4 star hotel but it isn’t bad, the staff were nice and friendly.
I can’t say I would recommend it but I did enjoy the holiday. We travelled with Jet 2 who’s description of the hotel was inaccurate and would lead to disappointment.

Sorry if this review is a bit long winded but there aren’t many reviews of this fantastic hotel.
Firstly check in was very swift and chap on desk in the late evening was extremely friendly.
The rooms are ultra modern, very large and exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfy and we slept well every night. The air con was very quiet and worked brilliantly. There’s is a kettle, fridge, safe and hair dryer in the room. Plenty of storage but could do with a few more coat hangers. There are also loads of USB slots in the room. One thing I must mention is light sensors, they where brilliant if you got up in the middle of the night there was no fumbling for a light switch, they sensed you was up and a low light came on, same in the bathroom and went off after 3 mins, brilliant idea. You can also book a late check out room 48 hours before leaving for €20.
The restaurant for breakfast very clean and well organised. Freshly squeezed orange juice and a great coffee machine. Breakfast was plentiful, cold meats, cheeses, hot buffet and pastries. Really impressed with selection. Staff always clearing up and friendly.
Pool area was again absolutely spotless, plenty of sun-beds and of great quality, space out perfectly. There are 2 pools and views out to sea amazing. A big thank you to the life guard/ pool guy, he never stopped he tested the water daily and cleaned up any litter, swept up, arranged the sun- beds and parasols. Pool towels can be obtained from reception and are of great quality.
Pool bar was shut but behind the reception was a cafe where you could buy iced cold beers only €2.50, snacks, coffee and ice creams again same price has in town.
The nearest supermarket is about 20 mins away and the walk into Corralejo centre is about 40mins walk the taxi only costs €5 if you don’t want to walk.
The hotel is situated right on the dunes and the outlook from the hotel is amazing, I’d say it’s the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Corralejo.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and would without doubt book again.

I had booked hotel for one week stay with a friend. Hotel room was modern, clean and with see view. Staff were friendly. However, we were booked half board. First night we were only people in restaurant, waiter came out and read menu choice. Food was carried outside from kitchen so by time it reached us it was lukewarm. Food was tasteless. Second night, one other couple present in restaurant. For starter we chose Caesar salad, thought can’t get that wrong ! We were presented with a large plate of wet lettuce leaves and tasteless chicken in some sort of sauce, could not eat. We had a choice of fish stew or baby goat stew for our main course. We chose fish stew, it was totally disgusting, large slab of white fish on place in watery liquid with some prawns and mussels. No vegetables or potatoes. Nearest thing to veg was the mint that garnished side of plate. We complained to waiter and reception staff. We advised them we wld be eating out from then on. We were offered no compensation. I asked cld we have ham and cheese roll for lunch instead of our evening meal, which they agreed to. However they still charged us for the bottled water we had the first two nights and drinks with our rolls on subsequent days. Not impressed with customer service.
Hotel located beside naturist beach, with some of the naturists parading on roof terrace of hotel, not most appropriate if u have children.
It is about 35-40 min walk in to centre. Taxi costs approx 4 euros. Nice beach walk to centre, but rough under foot in places, not suitable to walk at night.
Hotel very clean and during our stay we hit the sandstorm. Staff power hosing and cleaning daily.
If your going to stay in this hotel do not stay half board, book B&B. Breakfasts were fine.
Pic of fish stew 🤮

Lovely boutique hotel located next to the National Park on the edge of Corralejo. We were on a 10 night stay and found this duration for this location about right, as there is a 40 minute walk into town if you walk along the streets, or a 25 minute walk if you walk along the coast. Alternatively taxis from the centre of Corralejo cost between €5.50 to €8.50 depending on time and location in the town.
Our room was spotlessly clean on arrival and kept that way throughout our stay by the lovely cleaning ladies. The room had an unusual glass screen between the bedroom and bathroom, however it was possible to electronically lower a screen to obscure ‘the view’ (partially) if required. There were also automatic movement sensors that illuminated floor lights and towel rails in the bathroom, if you happened to get up in the night. The wardrobe also had automatic illumination when the doors were opened!
We found the bed very comfortable and were asked if we required additional pillows by the kind cleaning staff. Overall facilities in the room were more than adequate with ample toiletries in the bathroom, water in the fridge and a free security safe. Bedding and towels were changed regularly, we also enjoyed the choice of shower facilities. We stayed in a first floor sea view room and although the view was lovely, we would have preferred a bit more privacy between the balconies.
Breakfast was very nice with a nice choice of continental and cooked breakfast, the orange juice was freshly squeezed, and the pastries were fantastic. We found the staff in the snack bar lovely, (particularly Trinny) and there were always plenty sun beds around the peaceful pools. Just take comfortable walking shoes if you intend to go into Corralejo centre regularly.

First of all I am very particular and have high standards of the accommodation I choose, I also like it to be nice a quiet and peaceful. I stayed here with my Mother for 7 nights, and they were very accommodating and gave us a ground floor room, overlooking the sand dunes and mountains. Although they also overlook the road, it’s not busy at all and didn’t matter at all.
The hotel is recently refurbished to a really high standard, it’s clean , modern and relaxing. The location is superb allowing you to take beach walks every day on your door step.
Breakfast is lovey and relaxed , a good selection of food.
The pool area is also really nice , note the pool isn’t heated which is the only thing that lets the hotel down.
The rooms are really comfortable, smart TVs so we could watch movies on amazon prime, and Netflix, there’s is kettle and big mugs and fridge also a plus!
Location is perfect for peace and quiet, and it’s only €5 in a taxi to town.
The best thing about Tao Caleta Mar is the the staff, they are all so friendly and helpful, relaxed and chatty, just the perfect team. I didn’t meet the Manager but he or she should be proud of the team they have there.
Definitely would stay here again

We have just returned from a two week stay, our second holiday at this hotel.
We wanted to feel safe and confident, travelling while some Covid restrictions are still in place.
The hotel didn’t disappoint, spotlessly clean and all the staff work very hard to make sure you have a relaxed time.
This hotel is right next to the National park, the beach and scenery are stunning.
It’s suitable for anyone who wants to relax and disconnect.
If you’re looking for bars, restaurants and a lively vibe then you need to be in the centre of Corralejo.
We did visit the centre, necessary to eat in the evening as the hotel offers breakfast and a great coffee shop and bar ( open until appro 21.00 hrs) but no evening meals.
It takes about a 40 min walk along the beach, a taxi back costs under 5 Euros and worked fine for us.
The hotel was perfect for us and we’d stay again.
Make sure you check wether it’s for you as I’m sad to see some people complain and give poor reviews when actually it was probably never the right hotel for them.
Very suitable for walkers and as a base for explorer’s.
We’ll be back!

There were net curtains and heavy separate curtains in our room. When both closed it was jet black however we only used net curtains as we like to see when going to the bathroom during the night (an age thing) !!
The only English speaking channel is CNN. But you don’t really want to spend your holiday watching telly, do you 🤭
Yes, stayed in September. €20 pre book only 48 hours before check out only
In our hotel children are welcome and it is also truth that mostly we do not receive many children during this season.
Yes our rooms have kettle in
