Excellent stay!

Our stay at Astoria was excellent! Staff were really friendly, smiling all the time which gives only good vibes and they made us feel at home. Special thanks to Chris, Jose, Delfina and many others that made our trip amazing! There is a pool with a dj which provides beach club vibes. While sipping your cocktail, you could enjoy the nice music. For people who need a quite place, there is an another pool where you could just chill, sleep and read! After dinner, there is a concert almost every night. It was a great opportunity to listen different talents and all nights were entertaining. Rooms are really clean, food was also amazing. We took the room with a bali bed which was also great! Lastly beach is only 3 mins away where you could enjoy the turquoise water. Thanks to everyone for the great hospitality.…

Amazing vegan food selection and great service

Amazing: - Vegan food selection - Service - Live DJ during the day and live bands at night - Room size and comfy bed - Nespresso machine & capsules - Sun beds at the pool Could make the stay even better: - A real door at the bathroom to have some privacy - Vegan food ideas: 1-2 vegan pasta options for dinner, vegan burger patties at the grill station, for breakfast: vegan cheese (slices, cream cheese), vegan Nutella But to be very honest: It was amazing and we would come back for sure - there are only few hotels in the world that serve such a variety of vegan food that is so tasty.

Great hotel

What a great hotel, all the staff were fantastic going the extra mile to make our holiday the best ever. My wife has mobility problems and the staff where so accommodating. The food was of the best, to match any top restaurant in London. Chris was a breath of fresh air when entering the restaurant our waiter. The rooms were very well cleaned and fresh linen every day. Drinks are the same price as in the uk. Evening entertainment was good. We looked at the Disable room for our next holiday and it surpassed my wife’s needs. We will return in September

Wow, what a week this has been!

Glorious and very successful as a rather needed holiday at the beach somewhere warm. After arriving pretty hungry and a bit dizzy due to a long ride in the coach I was greeted with a welcoming warm smile from the receptionist. I was offered to sit down for checking in and was guided perfectly through the whole process. Pretty delighted to have a room on the top floor. I opened the door and smelled a properly made room for myself… ahh this feels like being home. I instantly opened up the curtains and overlooked the northeast of the region right to the hills… lovely. Pretty hungry I planned to go for a snack. But what is that glimpsing on the bed stand? A big shiny green apple and a filled chocolate. Man, this is exactly what I need now, I am so hungry. Ate both and relaxed with a complimentary water bottle on the balcony. The bed was amazing (not too soft but not too hard, just perfect) and I adored the two kinds of cushions. One memory foam and one normal. I loved the memory foam one since I am a side sleeper. Loved the TV with youtube on it too. The shower is an attraction for itself, you’ll love it. They even offer toothbrushes if you like. Hairdryer and a makeup mirror are also there. They even offer you some flip-flops and a showercoat. And hangers, oh my good, at least 10 hangers. Love it. Oh, did I say the AC is powerful, no? Well this beast will cool your room to 20C° in no time. One shower and the room is chilled. Besides a kettle and a Nespresso machine with capsules and tea bags for free are also there but overly excited I was about the separated wine-cooler. You might want to have these two prechilled by room service. Just ask when booking. I am sure they will look for it. Need a towel for the pool? Just ask and you can replace it every day. Free of charge, I guess. Talking about services, the cleaning was always pretty neat, so no complaints on that. Pools, yes two pools. A smaller one where you probably have no music (unfortunately never visited, lol) and one where you can listen to chill out music during the day (almost like at the cafe del mar) and some deep house later on. (yep, you probably have to like electronica to enjoy the Astoria lounge to the fullest). The loungers are comfy and the parasols are UV-protecting so you don't have to care for sun blocker as much as on the beach. Service is always great and the menu and drinks are fabulous. By the way, breakfast offers a wide variety of everything you can imagine, like always you can have bread, eggs, meat, even a full english if you like. And don’t forget the small cakes they have, yummy. I did not eat dinner there as I went to the local bars and restaurants but I heard only good words about it. Just please wear long pants and closed shoes. Bar and live acts are also offered and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday they have a djane turning the decks at the Astoria lounge. Simply thrilling. What I loved most about this place were the staff, honestly. They were always right at your side when you waved them or had any issue. With the parasol for example. You were never not observed and offered help if you needed it. The lifeguard is a cool guy too, he even fixed a parasol in a minute once. The staff is so nice and caring I sure do hope they have a place to cool themselves down too as it might be pretty hot for them to work during those hot summer days. Thinking about all these nice moments and good times at the Astoria Playa sure lets me look for another time to go there. The hotel itself is one street behind the street where all the action happens and two streets from the beach. And yet exceedingly quiet. Book this place right away, you won’t be disappointed. And if anything occurs, please talk to the staff as I mentioned they are open to it and will do as much as they can to improve your stay. Todos bien, graçias. Hasta la proxima =D…

Fancy but not worth it!

Fancy but not worth! For a hotel this large and dealing with high number of tourists, basic things are lacking! Poor air conditioning Slow internet Bar closes at 12 officially but the bartender is unwilling to serve at 11:20 only. On top of it has te audacity to say that I may take the drink he made in the morning! - Chamber maid enter the room without knocking as if it's free passage!! - plates in dining area are greasy and dirty with food stuck
