Overall was a great stay, hotel has great facilities, was clean and in a great location. Room – We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment (room 607) which was probably the best room. It was on the top floor on the corner of the hotel overlooking the boat yard and the town. It had 2 balconies (one each side) and was interesting watching them lift the boats out of the water to work on them. The room had everything we needed: there’s 2 good sized bathrooms (one ensuite to the main bedroom), large living area (with dining table, sofa, TV) and a small but well equipped kitchen (large fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, utensils, new sponges etc). Was clean and fairly modern. Hotel – The pool area is really nice (nicer than what the pictures show) with plenty of sun loungers. The water was a bit cold but guess expected for that time of year. The bar is nice, we enjoyed having evening cocktails overlooking the harbour. We did have breakfast on the first day (12 euros each), there was a great selection but flies were a bit of an issue. Location – Is perfect! The area is quiet but you’re still only a stone’s throw away from the main town with restaurants etc. There is free parking outside the front of the hotel and along the harbour. We usually found a space but there is also a free car park nearby. You can park in the hotels private car park for 10 euro a day. Porto Cristo itself is lovely, lots of nice restaurants, stunning views without being too ‘touristy’ – certainly not ‘Brits abroad vibe’ thankfully. I would recommend the following restaurants: Restaurante Cap des Toi (lots of choice and fairly cheap), Quince (either go early or book) and Trattoria del Porto (nice food & view). I would recommend visiting other areas nearby: Cuevas del Drach, Caves D’Arta, Castell de Capdepera and Port de Pollença.

We stayed at Porto Drach apartments for 4 nights mid-October. We arrived about 11pm Spanish time, & was greeted by a friendly man on check in. He explained a few bits to us & kindly showed us to our room. We asked if they were still serving food or if any of the restaurants nearby were, but there was nothing open apart from Burger King which was around a 10-minute walk so that had to do. Our room was one of the largest apartments I've ever stayed in & very clean. Our daughter had a sofa bed in the living area where there was also a T.V & kitchen area with microwave, sink, 2 ring hob, extractor & under counter fridge. The rooms are separated by large sliding doors & the balcony is accessible from either the living area or the main bedroom. The main bedroom is two single beds pushed together. The bathroom is very spacious with a big walk-in shower. The second night we realised the water was not flowing away properly in the shower, so we called down to reception & maintenance came up & rectified it straight away. Air con works brilliantly! The pool area was lovely & quiet, even in peak season it wouldn't be too busy as there are only around 16-20 sun loungers. You go to reception & receive a token which you give to the lifeguard by the pool to get your towels. The pool area was immaculate! The snack bar is not far from the pool so you can buy drink & food from there to take round the pool. Restaurants are just the other side of the marina, so a 10-minute walk max. from the hotel. We loved Fussio bar, great food & great service. The beach is a further 5 minutes from all the restaurants, again extremely clean & well maintained. We also visited the caves, they were okay, don't see the great hype about them for 40 euros. We also went on the train which takes you around the area so around an hour from start to finish. There is not a lot else around Porto Cristo itself, it's fairly quiet & relaxing. Thank you to all the staff at Porto Drach apartments for making our stay enjoyable & to the cleaners who work tirelessly to maintain the level of cleanliness!

My partner and stayed at this apartment hotel for 5 nights at the end of September 2022. Check in was hassle free and everyone we spoke to on reception was friendly and helpful. They explained about the pool and restaurant and offered local advice also. We stayed in a standard room without a marina view and were pleasantly surprised. Whilst not being massive it was more than enough for a couple and had a very spacious bathroom. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need and balcony came equipped with table and chairs and sun loungers. We opted not to pay for the marina view but the view from the back of the hotel was just as good looking out over the mountains to the north. Only negative was we got two single beds pushed together as opposed to a double bed. Pool area was clean and perfect for sitting out in the sun. There is about 20 loungers with parasols so may get full during busier months but we had no problems at the end of September. It is next to a working boat yard but that didn't disturb us too much. The pool was very cold but perfect after lounging in the sun for a while. Towels for the pool are provided by the hotel free of charge which was very handy. I think towels could also be taken to the beach if you wish. The bar had a good selection of drinks, including cocktails, at a reasonable price. Drinks could also be taken to the pool area. All the bar staff were very friendly and attentive. We didn't eat in the restaurant but menu seemed to have similar things to other restaurants (pizza/pasta/paella etc) at a similar price. Check out was again very hassle free and the staff very helpful. Check out is at noon and our transfer to the airport wasn't until 14:30, they offered us the choice to the check out later if we wanted but we chose to just leave our bags in the luggage room for a couple of hours whilst we had one last wander round Porto Cristo. The location of the hotel is perfect as it is right on the edge of the town centre. This makes it easy walking distance to the restaurants/shops/beach (about 5-10 minutes) but was quiet enough to sit out on the balcony in peace. It's also just 5 minutes walk from the caves of drach. Check in/check out: 10/10 Staff: 10/10 Room: 9/10 Cleanliness: 10/10 Pool: 8/10 Location: 10/10 Restaurant: n/a Overall, my partner and I had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely return.

We had an exceptional apartment on the 5th floor overlooking the port to our left. Everything you need was provided in the room. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean and well maintained. The bar restaurant served excellent food on the evening. The breakfast was buffet style and was repeatedly replenished with fresh food. The pool was a good size but difficult to get in and out of despite having steps at the side. They need to be extended down further because if you are over 40 years old with creaky knees and a pacemaker it is most difficult to get out. One repeat customer had an accident on the steps she said! Beware! We were glad of the lifts as we could never have managed the stairs. All in all we had a pleasant stay at the hotel. There was only one issue which you need to be aware of. The night before our departure we asked at reception for a taxi to be booked the following day. No need said the manager it'll be here in 10 mins. The following day we ordered a taxi to take us to Palma and were told it would be 15 minutes and was told to wait outside at the front of the hotel. It was very hot so we decided to stay in reception and watch for the taxi to arrive. 30 minutes later no taxi. My wife went to reception and they phoned the taxi company again. They said they were busy and a taxi would be here in 10 minutes. We were then told to wait downstairs outside. So we did, in the blazing sun with no shade at all. After another 30 minutes my wife went to reception again whilst I watched our bags and waited in case a taxi turned up. The attitude of reception changed and told her that it was not their responsibility nor was it part of their service! WHAT, a hotel not responsible for calling a taxi service for their clients - that's a first and what happened to the "No need to book, they'll be here in 10 minutes" statement the previous evening? Again we waited in the sun and eventually a taxi arrived. The point I'm making here is, if we were catching a plane at the airport we would have missed it due to the poor taxi coverage in the area. Beware, do not leave it until the day you leave to book a taxi as we were advised. Not necessarily the fault of the hotel but the fact we were told to wait in the blazing sun outside the hotel was also poor! Unfortunately, this was our experience at the apartments and given we are not in the best of health with me having heart failure and my wife being 74.

Return visit number 8 we think ? Another great stay, great staff wonderful location amazing views, great to see the town developing and another new hotel added to this one. As usual had an annex room with Marina view, rooms are getting tired and are ready for an upgrade removing the sliding doors would help as I can’t see anyone using them. New restaurants have opened which is also good. Has breakfast which is really good value and staff are really helpful. Look forward to returning.

Quite simply the nicest apartments we have ever stayed in. The staff were very friendly, the rooms beautifully kept and the view of the marina was well worth paying extra for. Mention has to be made of the Air Conditioning which was the best we has ever experienced. We will be back!

Stayed for a week as a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers we booked a one bedroom apartment overlooking the marina and it was fabulous! Clean room, beds were not the comfiest but ok, the balcony was a real treat with 2 loungers and a table for 4. Pool area was lovely and not too busy even though we stayed in the main school holidays. We didn’t eat as there are many fabulous restaurants just over the marina. The only thing I would say is Porto Cristo is not the best if anyone has any mobility issues it’s very hilly! We all had a wonderful time and would definitely return.

The good: A beautiful hotel which is clean and fairly modern with spacious rooms. The Bad: The food. We are still in a process of complaint with Jet2 so at this stage we do not know who is at fault (Jet2 or Hotel). We paid an extra £400 for half board (for two people). Breakfast was fine, with a choice of bacon, eggs, sausages and/or pastries, cereals etc.. Evening Meal – An absolute disgrace! Day 1 – We had a menu which consisted of (starters) Salad with fish (salad leaves with a tinned white cubed fish with no taste). Main Course (I had the fish), which was a small white fish (not fresh from the sea) which you would find from a frozen Tesco meal, this came with rice which also tasted like a microwave minute rice meal, My wife had a pork stew which came on it’s own with no vegetables or other sides (once again it tasted like a microwave meal), Desert was rice pudding or a chocolate mousse (they both arrived in what I would describe as a shot glass and something you would have if you were eating on an aeroplane. 2 spoonfuls and it’s gone. Day2 – Starters was ‘Warm Salad’, we asked the lovely waitress which part was warm? Maybe some chicken or something tasty inside? She had to google it in front of us and showed us a bowl of salad leaves. The other option was Gazpacho, which turned out to be cold tomato soup (this was our fault as we should have googled the name which explains what it is). The 3rd starter choice was ‘Scrambled Eggs’ (yes Scrambled egg for starter)! After trying the cold soup and then looking at the day 2 Main course which consisted of fried pork this time and more white fish (followed by fruit salad for dessert), we politely told the waitress that we wish to leave and cannot cope with this food any more. The following day we complained to the hotel who were apologetic at first, I requested to speak to the manager who was not in this day, I told them that when the manager arrives can he please contact us, another receptionist butted in and said ‘well you get breakfast for half board too’ (the £400 we paid extra for breakfast and dinner).. Day 2 and the manager was still no where to be seen. We are seriously not fussy people and enjoy all kinds of food, and definitely do not expect Gordon Ramsay, however, this food was what I can only describe as basic long haul flight aeroplane food or what they would serve prisoners in UK Prisons. To make matters worse – We had to sit amongst other holiday makers who were paying from what I would call the ‘normal’ menu and eating normal wholesome food, whilst we sat next to them eating this budget diet food. At the same time of requesting to speak to the manager, we also contacted Jet2 multiple times (day 1 we could not get through to them after being on hold for 20 minutes on 3 different occasions) (day 2 we finally go through to the UK help line and the lady said she would pass the info onto our Jet 2 rep, who would contact us) (day 3, no call from the Jet2 rep so we re-logged the request for her to call us) We are back home in the UK now and never received a call. A lovely hotel in a beautiful harbour which was ruined by the food on offer, this resulted in us having to eat out at local restaurants, burger King and Spar Baguettes, costing us an extra £200+ for the week. We really tried for this not to ruin our holiday, however if you are going half board then please be warned!
